Snape is such a deep character with so many layers, and after years of being seen as a bad person, he finally shows his true self. He was a brave man, and noble one too, at the fact he let everyone see him as something so very different to what he really was. His story is truly haunting, well done J.K. Rowling for creating such a brilliant character.

Severus is amazing. People should understand that Dumbledore has asked Snape to kill him. he saved him actually, when he killed him. he was amazing. he knew that it's or he dies in pain by the death eaters or to make his death short and not hurting. Snape was amazing. and was Brave
+longtail4711 he wasn't the unkind person that people make him out to be, so he picked on a few of the students from time and time, and was a bit more strict and cruel than is generally expected...but EVERY school has teachers like that. The only reason he even seems unkind is because he's compared to Dumbledore, who if you haven't forgotten was planning for Harry to die all along anyway!
For his greatest regret, he paid with his life, and endured what would put most man into insanity. He endured that for 17 years. He shows us how much a man can change into greatness.
Exactly, when i was younger i knew of harry potter but i didn’t think much of it. But a few years later i learned of the character and realize that if i had’ve heard of him before then, my heart would’ve died with him.
So many think that Severus is a bad person but he wasn't. He was a person with a very deep charakter and not everybody unterstand him. I loved him from the first moment - always
I agree. Killing Dumbledore and watching his friend and colleague, Charity Burbage being tortured and killed right in front of his eyes and not being able to do anything about it, probably hurt him the most...and professor McGonagall attacking him and calling him a coward. The things that man had to endure is heart wrenching!

I keep hitting the replay button over and over because if any video sums up my grief at the loss of Alan Rickman, this one does. I have to say this video and the character of Severus Snape has only become more deeply profound and meaningful as I try to process my grief for losing my all-time favorite actor.

When I was younger and the H.P. movies first came out, I used to think that Snape was a fucking asshole. It was not until the Half-Blood Prince and the two following that I realized Snape really cared for Harry. Granted hated him at the same time because Harry's dad but he loved Lilly. I like Snape as a character in the movie and I wonder who would have won, Snape or Mcgonagall had Snape really fought instead of deflecting McGonagall's attacks?

Snaps will always be my favorite character. I love him so much. I cried so much when watching him die, during his memories, and during this song. His story is one of the most tragic out of Harry Potter.
There are people who say they can't forgive him because he bullied his students, because he never was a nice person at all. I hope those people will understand one day that none of the persons in Harry Potter was a nice big hero (except Dobby), they all had flaws and bad habits. That's not what makes you a hero. The greatest power of a hero is his love. Nothing else. Without the power of Lillys love, Voldemort would have killed Harry. Without the power of love Bellatrix would have won the wand fight of her and Molly. Without love noone had a patronus, so many people would have died in the series. Love is the escence of all books. Without it they wouldn't even exist. Just understand that and you might feel a little different for Severus.
This is without doubt the best tribute video to Snape that I have ever seen. The music choice is perfect and the scenes are just so emotional. I watch this video at least 3 times a day it's so good.
growing up i always watched Harry Potter. it was my favourite series of films. when I found out Alan Rickman died I was broken. I am currently in tears, so thank you for opening me up emotionally. RIP Alan Rickman. Always ❤

Is that only me who think Severus feeling to Lily is not lover's love but the feeling to a only and lost best friend who means a lot to him...I always feels that it is not real love from Severus, it is more a amplified version of a losing, first and last friendship and also the guilt in Severus heart. The reason why his patonous is the same as Lilly is not because love instead is because of the guilt and the will he can save Lily that day...
Can I just turn into a puddle of mushy feels? ;^; I recently watch the whole series and in the end after that certain scene in part 2 Snape became my favorite character in the series. I just felt so sorry for that man, that poor tortured soul. I wanted to hug him so bad! The feels in that scene and this video omg! Awesome job on this, you really hit the spot with this!

+Kiraschwarze I know! After watching it once you notice the little things and what they meant when you watch it the second time that made him come to life so much. All the little things he did, expressions, gestures it all added up to express him even more. Alan brought him to life so much as he knew what was to happen so he was able to do things that would express Snape more and show it in the end. He would argue with the directors against what they wanted him to do in saying "no I can't do that, I know what's going to happen you don't" as Joe had told him what was to come so he could bring Snape to life more; she told him the meaning behind *always*. Alan's performance of Snape in all the movies was breathtaking and I think one of his best with all what he did to act as Snape. RIP Alan Rickman; you wonderful man and your breathtaking ways of acting! Always~
Yes he is truly one of the best actors I have seen with how he was able to bring Snape to life. He is one the rare few actors that is able to bring out a character so well that would show for it in the end. I've currently watching the HP movies again and I focus more on Snape when he's in the scene to see all what he does and understand why he did that. Because of Joe telling him about Snape he was able to bring him to life so well and it helped him understand him more as well when playing him. All the little things he did through the movies added up to show for it in the end and to create a truly memorable character and actor!

snape has made two mistakes 1. calling Lily a mudblood 2. initially joining the death eaters unfortunately those mistakes costed him his life during the rest of this life Dumbledore was the only one who trusted him and when he was forced to kill him he was hated. snape was an amazing character I find him and Neville the most complicated characters
