This makes me fucking cry. Not tears of sorrow. Tears of joy and disbelief because these guys make such, such, such incredible music and they are mesmerizing. I can't take it.
I just don't know how anyone can dislike this band. This performance shows the sheer emotion, integrity, musicianship, talent, feelings, etc. This performance is plain emotional. I cry every time I listen to it because the music causes me to get in a certain mood. I play drums, and that's why I have such an appreciation for music like this. Cheers!
I was at this concert, he dedicated this song to 3 teens that died in a car accident, a day earlier in our area. Apparently he go the info that they were surpose to go to this concert. Very sad. ROOSEVELT, N.Y. - A car carrying counselors to work at a camp for the disabled crashed into a tree alongside a Long Island parkway Thursday, killing three, injuring two others and overwhelming campers who possessed varying abilities to process the tragedy.
1. i seriously think this is some of dave's best screaming EVER. 2. i love how you can tell the whole band knows how sick they're playing just by looking at their faces. 3. this may be the 50th time i've watched this video. cannot get enough of it.
This song rescued me from a very dark place long ago. To this day, when they bust it out at a show, I will cry. But they are tears of joy now. And I ROCK the 'Thank You' outro. (I think I hear Bobby....)
this song pulled me out of a dark space a few years back after my father passed away and some other shit happened in my life. I don't know exactly why, but I know it worked. Lyrics are sublime and can possibly help anyone out of a dark hole. Thank ya'll.
Right? I hate when fans whine about the "TimCDC" days of the late 2000's where they :went to heavy on the electric guiltar". Those are my favorite live shows to listen to. Love the hard rock vibe he brings
@@sre94 it isn't "there's too much Tim". It's more, "how come I can't hear anyone else?" I think it was just bad mixing at the soundboard. There are a few other releases where Jeff simply overpowered everyone post-production. But usually it was Tim. I think he's an integral part of the band. It just has to be more muted if you want to hear Dave's acoustic, for example. Anyway, just my opinion.
Tell me one songwriter/guitarist/singer that can sing during a whole concert without going out of tune once. The song and musical preformance is still great.
Just the greatest performance. Such ENERGY, knowing how this song vibrates in my soul, what I would give to FEEL what he feels while performing this or any one of their songs.
6:57 proves just how much energy, love, passion, beauty, and power goes into this performance and all of their performances. This is probably one of the absolute best performances that I have ever heard. This band is something special.
Fantastic! Remember feeling overwhelmed being about 30 people back dead center on that baseball field. Can't really express how it felt hearing this song in that moment. Flash forward 5 years and I got too see my hometown KC Royals win the World Series on that very same field. SO DAMN LUCKY!
This song man, I cry like a baby every single time. This song is sooo healing thank you Dave Matthews you are such an inspiration I hope to make music with you soon my brother same goes to all of you amazing people
A great and unique band for sure! Did you see him in the movie Because of Winn Dixie? He sings You Are Like A Butterfly. So much about that movie touches my heart. So thankful for the beauty that comes from him/them!!!
@dmcgabriel COMPLETELY Agreed!!!!! For some reason, I always start BOUNCING at the end...when they really hit it, I can't stop myself. That's how I measure the awesome factor of live versions of this. You can only imagine my reaction when I heard THIS. By far, their best.
This song changed my life back in 2003 when I first heard it. Dave got me through my first broken heart and this song was a huge instrument in doing so
Always a phenomenal musician---team of musicians. I have such love of DM's music...and this song is no exception...but the song can rip your heart with the story---it shakes me.
I've played guitar with this song and 1.5 hrs of other Dave songs 4 times a week. Minimum for 4 years straight. I love Dave Matthews Band and heavy metal!
Couldn't Agree with you more Buddy....Best Version of this song Hands Down...while I don't think it is the Best Dave song Ever! My girl and I were on the floor for this show...was hot as BALLS that night.so we moved to the side by where they were selling the posters. I remember Jen & I both looking at each other towards the end..in Awe of how long the ending of the song was going..and Dave's Screams at the end were Def Bone Chilling...
Dave I have fallen for a lot of great bands in the 7Os but I could listen to you over & over & never get sick of listening to you guys. You rock & sexy dancer
Vinny Mac they don’t play burgettstown anymore? We used to drive from Hartford and camp out. Used to play the weekend. Awesome memories. Do you go to Deer Creek?
after just watching the Hello Again Pt 1 of the documentary on this channel, its quite clear Rashawn totally pulled Dreamgirl out of nowhere and caught Dave 100% off guard. Yet another reason why this band is the greatest and not one song or show is the same
Carter's face at 4:04 makes me smile, guy is so in love with what he does and buried so deep in the pocket. sorry John Bonham and Neil pert, you are not the greatest, Carter Beauford is.
why can't i browse more videos from this channel? every time i click on it, it forwards me to davematthewsband channel, and none of these videos are there
