Imagine being on the New York Yankees and being so bored and immature that you would do this DURING a game -- wasting dozens of pieces of gum by throwing them onto the field from the dugout! You think Derek Jeter would've done this? How about Aaron Judge? NO CHANCE and guess who cleans that stuff up? Not the players! They created extra work for the groundskeepers, and that really sucks. If I ever pulled this crap in high school or at baseball camp, my coaches would've gone ballistic and rightfully so. Sorry but this really pissed me off.
I wish I'd talked about it at the time, but things were particularly hectic for me at this game. I was in the exclusive "Legends" area with a ton of free food and it felt like there were constant distractions (many of which were entertaining). Thanks to my friend Alex who hooked up the tickets, and I also gotta give a shoutout to Jake plus another gentleman who's known as the "King of Yankee Stadium." They all helped make this day extra fun.
