Dark Samus is probably the closest echo to being a different character, barring Ryu/Ken. DS has entirely different hurtboxes, the specials do a different type of damage except for up-b (vanilla Samus is fire damage, DS is electric), the roll is 3 whole frames shorter than vanilla Samus's, and the up-b is faster but goes a slightly shorter distance. Not to mention DS has a larger body, since it hovers.

@@xp_shared6660 those differences are tiny compared to what other echos do. Roy/Chrom or Marth/Lucina have completely different combo trees, neutral presence and spacing rules. Dark Pit has a stronger neutral presence with his arrows, while pit uses his ones more effectively off stage. These differences are noticable in every matchup and give you a reason to play one or the other based on gameplay (obviously DS has more swag). The differences are so minor with the Samuses. Yes, the hurtboxes move differently, but they still have the same stature and In most cases, it doesn't matter, except for Mario's dash attack or some weird cases like that. The different attack types are only changing something in very specific interactions like Pikmin types. Electric type has more hitlag, but because both characters are affected by this, it doesn't mess with combos at all, except reaction might be a tiny bit easier.

@@namenamename390 electric also has more shield stun, and allows DS to get true punishes off of shielding things like full charge shot and super missile at max range grab, which Samus doesn't get.

He gets some very impressive clips and can play a lot of characters, he's even got a pretty good ice climbers
