To be fair ( I even think LTT said the same thing) they don't advertise themselves as a gaming desktop. though the wording could be better, because after analyzing Rich's screenshot it says "RGB gaming desktop keyboard...". So it's not saying the desktop is gaming, but the keyboard lol. Obviously since they had the word " gaming" it popped up into Rich's search results. I think according to an Austin Evans video the cheapest gaming desktop was around $400 and was very small.

I wonder if this PC has enough juice to handle an RX 6400... Adding one would make it kind of decent value. Or maybe even some decent GT1030 variant? Maybe I'm weird, but there's some charm to weird refurbished computers and as Linus said it, keeping stuff out of a landfill is a good thing in itself. I have a refurbished Dell laptop, a kind of professional workstation that would cost obscene amounts of money new... And I absolutely love it. If Treasure Box validates the PCs and do basic refurbishing beside cosmetics, the only thing really "wrong" about these glittery abominations is the deceptive marketing. The tacky aestetic is pretty funny and a properly informed user can likely get a lot of utility out of them. :)

You can probably plug in a low profile 1050ti Nvidia graphics card. That should allow you to run some older Triple A titles above 30FPS-40FPS, possibly. Not providing a “gaming” pc with a dedicated GPU and relying on an old intel processor on an old motherboard a decade old was the final nail in the coffin as far as gaming is concerned. Even over a decade ago, these computers weren't made for gaming, they were suited for office work.

I am in luck, I do have a VGA monitor (but it also has HDMI)! I might have been in the market for something like that recently, a used office computer from 2017 (although I'd probably buy it from a local second-hand computer shop and not pay extra online for the cheesy bling), since I don't have any AAA PC games more recent than a decade old so I presume even a potato PC from 2017 can run them at 600 x 800, but, thankfully, my brother's sending me his older PC (from around the same era but I think he upgraded it for gaming) so I don't need to buy anything questionable that markets itself as a "gamer PC".
@StormsparkPegasus

I have a Logitech mechanical keyboard at my work desk that outwardly looks exactly like that. But it's obviously not since it's mechanical. Anyway, the problem with systems like this isn't the specs. As many have pointed out, you could grab something like a 1050ti and put it in here for cheap and have an ok entry level system. My roommate had one of these (although only paying $80 for it, and just a regular one, no glitter or RGB), for a few years. The problem with these systems is that they are NOT upgradeable. The power supply, motherboard, and case are all basically e-waste, as they are proprietary and cannot be reused for any other system. So you can't even start out with something like this and upgrade it over time, you have to replace the motherboard, case, and power supply all at once, and the old ones just go in the trash because they're proprietary. But taking one of these 10 year old cheap office PC's, and putting glitter and RGB lighting on it, is putting lipstick on a pig.

Buying an old optiplex or elite desk and throwing in a GTX 1050ti or GTX 1650 used to be a be a good way to get a cheap semi decent gaming pc. I did this a few years ago for my niece when she was still quite young and just getting in to gaming. It cost about £140 for a sff hp elite desk with the same cpu as this. I added a low profile1050ti and 16GB ram and a SSD, and it did well for a while. Problem is, I did all this when the 10 series GPUs were still relevant and you could still get away with a quad core CPU. These days though, since they still go for pretty much the same price for the exact same massively outdated systems and a 1050ti probably costs more than what I paid for it at the time, it's really not worth it. And as for this particular monstrosity I first saw them a few months ago when someone in my sims group was asking about them. I think it was more expensive too... like 300ish iirc I guess people weren't willing to pay 300 bucks for a vajazzled optiplex😂

Honestly, if you only need a PC for old and/or basic Steam games, this isn't the worst idea. Maybe get an old GPU also, if it can fit. But calling this a gaming PC is a joke. It's basically the Chromebook of desktops, and that's being generous.
