I LOVE the idea of a Valve character beat-em-up where the valve itself is the Smash Ball of sorts. It's a super cool idea, especially the cutscene where the valve is on the character's head!
1:40 ok so the woman instead of just typing "soldier dies" she decides to type "huge vault crushes soldier" very great and amazing thinking (jokes aside cool animation)
I seen some of those animations on Twitter earlier. Still can't process how can you do that in 80 minutes, but you sit in SFM since forever so that's just skill. Really cool btw.
oh damn, guess i remembered about interloper at the perfect time lol. finished watching 5 and subscribed + turned notifs on (i thought they were already on lol), watched 6 and saw that this was posted in notifications
@@bucket6079 it's difficult to tell as theyre both platform fighters, but the physics feels wrong for smash. bh is a lot lighter and floatier, with the low pyro throws out feeling VERY brawlhalla. its hard to describe but idk, it matches the look of it more in my eyes
@@Lily-ed8flat around 1:34 pyro grabs on the ledge of the platform, which is only possible in smash. the floatiness is also because smash is also a bit floaty
Two possibilities, either this has nothing to with the Interloper ARG, or it does. 1) It is part of the Interloper ARG. - The video is called "I challenged myself... every day for a month..." A month has at max 31 days, so there should only be at maximum 31 animations. Yet somehow there are 42? (maybe Anomidae didn't exactly work for a month, but slightly longer) Also he mentioned that it takes two days to for him to create a animation, meaning he either had to work for 84 days on this (which is longer than a month) or used some kind of tool to create or at least assist in creating animations for him. - Some Animations look choppy, others very smooth, one of the ones that is very smooth uses a civilian model, which isn't from TF2 but HλLF-LIFE². (to be fair, there are plenty models that aren't from TF2, so this could just be a coincidence) Hinting, but not proving, at the fact that they might have been generated by the interloper command, or at least use the dynamic npcs, and weren't handmade. 2) It isn't part of the Interloper ARG. -Except for the appearence of the civilian model from HλLF-LIFE², it has nothing to do with the Interloper ARG as far as we can tell. In conclusion, I personally believe that his video could prove to have lore significant content in the future, we just don't know it yet. TLDR: There are way to many animations for the timespan Anomidae provides, and some animations look smoother than other ones, there was also a civilian model which could've been a dynamic npc. This video might be part of the ARG. In any case, those were some pretty good animations
I mean, the video ends with the red “X” which definitely signifies it plays into project skybox; also with the fact than animidae himself isn’t hearting any comments that mention project skybox. Showing that “in the arg” this is what he’s been doing for the last 3 months.
Beautiful, your animations are very distinct and can tell they’re made with purpose. It isn’t easy to do something like this in respect to your full time job and life. (Great music choice btw)
Love the use of lower framates throughout these, and the camerawork too! Not to mention just the super fun concepts and execution of the animation sequences througout :> Glad you’re having fun with other projects outside SKY//BOX too!
Imagine my surprise when my friend told me the guy who made my absolute favorite arg of all time also used my funny little mini sentry girl in one of his animations. Its an honor! Great work both inside and outside of your work on Interloper.
interloper demo type 6,demos that show sfm animations of characters consisting of characters form tf1/2,hl1/2,lfd1/2,portal1/2 and many more source engine games
This is super impressive. These shots look like they'd take me hours to make, even with just blocking. And these are pretty much all action shots too. Also, Hale lifting the rock reminds me of that video with Heavy lifting a boulder on degroot keep.
this kicks butt! happy to see some of your animation prowess outside of the series. cant recall seeing sfm done in this stop-motioning sort of style either theres a lot of character to it
Oh man, that's pretty cool. Honestly that's a good idea to do the animation a day challenge but with SFM, never seen it done before. Can't imagine the pain you went through to do it though.
No idea if it was intentional, but the scouts all running towards the bonk reminded me of the ending to that old stick figure animation Doors. I should watch those again.
Just wanted to say, if you are the creator of the background song, it's quite interesting to listen, and good job on making it [if again, you're the creator :), and I honestly wish to listen to the clean version without the sounds of animations, if possible] edit: It's in the description now, I can enjoy it yippee :D
I like it, actually I love it. Tho, some scenes have too less of frames, and makes it a little hard to look at. At least for me. Although, these animations were really clever and creative, and so I can't complain much. Loved this, and all your other content
You have got to be one of the most talented people in the source community, ever. Like, you created an extremely realistic (probably the most realistic) and technical horror series. Its complete insane how you managed to plan this all out, do all the work in a whole year, then perfectly give upload times, making it ridiculously believable. This just shows that you still want to improve, which is amazing, considering how good you already are.
So I'm guessing the "X" at the end signifies this is part of the interloper cannoninity? Although thats basically irrelevent speculation due to how impressive this shit is on its own. good job man.
