They purposely are leaving Beladar as a mystery right now. However some folks found that if you fly towards Beladar during the day or night cycles things happen. I did while it was in the light and it bathes you in light and you get a few second debuff "You feel very well rested". I still need to do while its in the void. Preach was talking about it as a clue but didnt go into detail. I would assume a ship or prime naaru but who knows.
I kinda have lost faith in the WoW scene and thus will not try the war within. Been a fan since burning crusade. But I dont think I will ever come back. :(
Great music, great zone design, great art. Character stories are the worst they've ever been. A definite "meh" expansion so far. I don't really play for the general endgame gameplay, so can't speak on that.
I like the option. You can get even more details on what is going on related to what you just did , such as Faerin talking to the arms smith about the need for a better shield as it relates to her shoulder.
those are needed to see how well the storytelling is being flushed out, people who dont care about Story can breeze onward, but those that do, can stay and watch even more Storytelling.
Small correction: YOU are too powerful because you're a DK. Try pulling 3 Elites at the same time with a Balance Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Evoker, non tank Warrior, Mage... Your class is just designed to be able to do that, whereas the majority of the classes is not. Now, don't get me wrong, the other classes are doing just fine, but their strenght isn't pulling 3 elite mobs at a time that can't be cced, they all have different areas in which they are gods.
Right, after they did the scaling balance I began to die with my hunter, I even had to be worried about pull 1 single elite mob... and I don't consider my self bad. It kind of sucks... I was leveling at a good pace before that, until the fun police came in. P.S: this issue disappeared ass soon I started to level up my DK alt. I was able to level up to 78 without changing any piece of the pre-patch 480 gear.
This is the first expansion in awhile that I've actually enjoyed the story. Quick leveled my two mains and am slowly lvling an alt, reading all the quest and watching all the cut scene. Good stuff.
@@mrepzu1 crazy that what we've played of TWW isn't even what Metzen worked on yet. If we are only going to feel Metzens influence in patch content, I think that bodes well for the story. Can't wait.
I agree it’s a tad overkill but really what else is she going to spend her time on when most of your life is endless fighting. She’s got a board game and reading to her fellow orphans I guess it’s reasonable. I’m just glad she did eventually have something go wrong due to snowballing overconfidence
Faerin technically isn't an orphan. She explains during her board game that both her parents are still alive back in the Arathi Empire. She was just made the first "official" orphan because the Hallowfall survivors had no where else to keep her.
Faerin was not an orphan, she was the only child in Hallowfall due to being a stowaway in the expedition ship. She was escaping from her family who saw her as a disappointment for not being a scholar, according to her, her parents would prefer her to be "locked in a library, drafting documents on economics or something".
I think blizz really needs to do more of the WotLK Villian presentation more. You encountered the Lich King all the time throughout the leveling, dungeons and raids till Ice Crown. Even if you never played WC3, by the time you fight the Lich King, you have a connection with him. I think that was really missing for a long time.
Tbf, a lot of the presentation in WotLK came through flashbacks of adapted WC3 story beats. Artha's journey through Northrend, how he found Frostmourne, the fight with Illidan... We even learned what set Arthas on his original path in the caverns of time. The only real time encounters with him then were him briefly showing his face at the Wrathgate and the 5-man dungeon
I think another good example was WoD/Legion Gul'dan. We started WoD by freeing him as a last resort knowing it would cause consequences. The legendary questline led into HFC and seeing just how deep those consequences went. Then he went on to kickstart the Legion invasion, defeat us at the Broken Shore and kill Varian. So by the time Nighthold rolled around, I was estatic to finally beat this guy. It was probably the most ive wanted to fight a boss because of the built up rivalry with our characters since the Lich King himself.
My only complaint is almost all new leaders is a female, or has a male that died or left the leadership for some female, they're playing it ultra safe for some reason 💀
@@AstralHealthGuy I won't, I'm talking about something that has been happening since BFA. I'm still loving the game, playing it forever, and thats my only complaint so far. They recently took my Genn and replaced him with his daughter, the last horde hating character gone.
Every time I pull a single mob on my balance Druid, it’s a life or death struggle. Pull 2 mobs, and my heart is racing waiting for those button cooldowns to pop. More than 2 is probably death.
@@Arizonian312 were you here for shadowlands? people loved its honeymoon phase 10 times more than war within....and then it all went so downhill and shadowlands became a meme xpac.....this isnt still a part to feel if the expansion actually has any depth to it or if its literally the same different "lobby" containing few questring zones and npc's to queue for the exactly same now already boring gameplay identical to the last 10 years story in wow was always ridiculous - all in all fit for the the pre school/special needs category
My thoughts on TWW(Pretending like people give a shit lol): Pros: - Fast Leveling - Professions are easy and improved with patron crafting orders - Being a bit OP is fun - The zones look unique to eachother and are visually interesting - Hero talents aren't too invasive in gameplay and you don't need to level it up or grind AP - Fair amount of collecting and mounts - XP Bonus from Alts - Warband is incredible, I can't stress that enough. *Chefs Kiss* - Launch wasn't that buggy, don't think I ran into one yet. - Bee mount is cool as shit - Alt Friendly - Plenty of quests to do - Found some nice cosmetics/tmogs - Decent Renown rewards are fairly early on. Cons: - AH Bots are rampent and Impossible to contend with - Early Access - 2 weeks in and there isn't really much to be doing once you've geared and got as far as you can with professions. - Earthen aren't immediately unlockable, time gated. - Timegated minor quests - Dungeons are MEH - Hero talents aren't that exciting - Pathfinder requirement for normal flying - Changing leveling difficulty after early access is over - Why not give us M+0 yet? - Not many world quests to do yet.. So far 6.5/10 for me. For context, Legion launch was 8.75/10 for me and WoD 1/10
@@scottadavis8086 You're correct! However, with what is planned M+ and additional content isn't due to release until september 11th. So unless they release something big until then what I said is still true.
The "disabled black woman who saves anduin" thing is completely right though. I've watched every cutscene and read every quest text. So it isn't that I didn't play the expansion. I've leveled 7 toons to 80 so far. There is definitely a reason why they're calling it The Woke Within. Every male "important" character either dies, is incompetent, a bad guy or needs to be saved by a strong female character. Also every important person that lasts is female. The only bad female in this expansion so far is Xal. Even Thrall is a side character to a strong female character and helps her become a leader of something she has literally no business leading. It's full of woke propaganda.
It honesty depends on what class/spec you're gonna play because my hunter has been decently fun, delves have some irritating mechanics but overall not too bad. My prot pally and guardian druid though delves feel like genuine ball aches, pally is ok but feels slightly too squishy for a plate wearer while my druid feels either godlike or paper sac depending on delv. I just had to quit the dread pit because packs of dorfs just kept bugging out literally leashing, healing and charging over and over again making me unable to progress. My personal opinion is if you've got at least one person you can rely upon to play with... go for it but if you're pure solo eh get the base version at most it's wow so you get what you expect for the most part.
There is a time and place to criticize "wokeness" or "DEI" for bad narrative, I honestly thought that TWW had good written character that diversity actually benefited in this case. No one should complain that Metzen coming back = Green Jesus again or why is it always Anduin etc... I am actually invested in the story when the last I did so was LEGION.
I just think Anduin is actually a bad character. He says to Alleria that he wants to help people but he himself is currently in hiding and not acting as the king of Stormwind. He is actively ignoring his duties and possibly causing harm to people who depend on him.
Damn bro, im not the only one. My item lvl is 557 playong a shadow priest, and i become a walking punching back if my shadow pet goes on major cooldown 😢 and then suddenly im useless to pull any mobs for about 2minutes until my cds come back@archermahou8910
I disagree with the faerin stuff as well, in fact I think its about time they had a disabled person in it, they have been at war forever, where have all the injured and disabled gone after all those wars? thrown in a pit? kept in a dungeon, if you as me there should be more.
My biggest issue(?) with the questing was the insane amount of help/rescue quests and turret/on-rails quests. Like I understand questing is ALWAYS going to be repetitive, but a lot of the leveling experience just kinda felt like I was more a medic than a warrior, and turret quests are just always lame to me.
always been like that though, Classic/Vanila just had a better way of hiding it because progressing from Zone to Zone took DAYS, so you didnt notice how limited the types of quests were.
@@UltimateGamerCC Nah, thats not what I mean, like I said, ik that quests are always repetitive. The thing with this expansion is that those repetitive quests are all rescue and turret quests which is hella lame.
The problem with Faerin isn't that she's a woman and black and disabled (although who's to blame the initial reaction when the early part of the expansion was worked on by the same people behind Shadowlands and Dragonflight stories, so she ticks all the boxes that AAA developers have been doing to attract the so-called "modern audience"). The main problem that I've found with her was during the main story downtime in Hallowfall's main city, where the armorer finally made a prosthetic arm for her, and she outright rejects it on the basis she can't be arsed to relearn doing things with having a missing limb back, even if it were more convenient. Or to put it in another way, she's PROUD of being disabled... I'm sorry, what kind of normal human being who's lost a body part would do that??? Even Tyr got himself a new arm after Galakrond bit it off, and he's a titan watcher!
Then you have never had to experience someone who has lost a limb or lost a limb yourself? either way, thats a pretty selfish of you to think that someone wouldnt be proud of having to make something of themselves with a missing limb.
@@capricorngaming_ttv As an invalid myself, lemme tell you something: It's one thing being proud of achieving something in your current state, but refusing to have your problem fixed even a little just so you can hold on to your pride is beyond any level of common sense.
@@jshadowhunter You're letting the culture war bullshit seep too far into your brain. She'd need time to relearn how to fight, and it didn't sound like this was a fully functional replacement arm either. Girl has spent who knows how many years of her teens and now early adulthood fighting without an arm. Something tells me she's deadly enough without. We miss sight of things because of the sickness of culture war. People would think a one-armed swordsman who refuses a prosthetic out of pride to be cool, but for some reason it's different when it's a woman.
I love how vertical every zone is. Because we start with flying, every zone is built for it. The zones aren't ignored once you get flying. You get to enjoy it from early on without being held back.
I enjoyed some of the story, while I rushed through to level my mage. Now I am leveling my shaman, and I am taking my time, reading the story and enjoying the expac.
gone the days we had big dick energy in the story, brave orcs etc, now its all about feelings, ''this is how i feel, this is how i should feel, uu feel it feel me u feel the light'' fuck it all, framboyan shit
Wow, I must be in the minority. I'm glad others had fun, but I can't count how many times I glanced at my watch during the storytelling of the main campaign. It had all the same tropes Wow has been using for years and I was utterly exhausted to see how predictable the story was. There were a few quests that were fun and some subplots that had decent payoffs, but so many times main characters made really boneheaded decisions or plot lines were just magically resolved. I think the bar is so low, maybe I can't recognize a good story anymore? The overall experience was still fun enough to get through, but it wasn't enough for me to get invested into any of these new characters Blizzard clearly desperately wants us to care about as they age out or kill off the old ones.
Maybe I'm getting old, but Faerin is just so cringe! Seriously, when the general orders a fallback, she says with the most cringy voice, "No, we can't keep running away from the shadow," and then the the General sta and listen like who is the leader here?! so just i am a leader of this group but no in this chaotic moment that i need to be a strong leader let's listen to the one-handed lady. Also!!! Are there any new male main characters anymore? It feels like every storyline I've been through lately is all about girl bosses, which is fine, but come on-it’s starting to feel a bit too soft! Everyone is always talking about their feelings, like, "If you need to talk, we're here for you." Is this World of Therapy or World of Warcraft? You killed character like Garrosh, Varian and Saurofang and replaced them with theseeeee?!
You sound really braindead, even though in some ways I agree with you. There's not really much girlbossing going on, they've all been fucking up massively in fact. Yeah sure Faerin speaks up, and her leader listens to her... and they get horribly fucked up flying down straight into Nerubian Hell, or did you skip that cinematic? And don't get me started on Alleria, fucking up constantly.
Yeah it's pretty bad currently, female characters are fine, but they have done only female characters for like the 3 latest expansions. Problem with it is that they aren't likeable characters and makes everything soft. Even thrall are soft now, we need strong characters that knows what is happening around them, in wow thoose characters always become the bad guys sadly. We need a more split between the horde and alliance cuz were realy just the same now. Make more disagreement and stubborn characters. Makes better story and more debth to it all when everyone isn't on the same side all the damn time. But yeah they have realy destroyed all the good characters, either by killing them off or making them soft and the same as everyone 🤷♂️
The general and the vizier come to mind as cool male characters plus magni and dagran. It's called "the war within" for a reason anduin is a grizzled veteran w/ ptsd and alleria is struggling with the void. Internal character development...
It's so nice to see a creator that offers actual valid criticism, while still being able to recognize the positives. There's too many wow content creation based around ragebait so this is such a nice breath of fresh air.
I havent gotten to the part where we see the girl in Hallowfall yet, but I do want to say that in a game where we have an orc with literal blade for a hand, having a girl missing an arm shouldn't be much of an issue here. It's about time we see more characters suffer true injuries from the ravages of war. It always felt like everyone escaped unscathed in every conflict and that was unrealistic. Of course someone would lose an arm in battle. And I'm glad that from what you said, she isn't some badass that cleaves away swaths of enemies. Sometimes a disability needs to remain a disability and allow them to help out in other ways.
Thanks for your thoughts. Still hearing positive feedback about a game that to me doesn't look very solid. I'm still waiting to be convinced that it's worth it for a current non gamer (I'd have to return to gaming and pay for the game + sub + electrical bills + pc maintenance fees) so for me it's still a no no and I'll stick to the outdoors, but hopefully this game continues to improve and mayhap I'll return at Christmas
My only problem with Faerin, is I feel bamboozled that the cinematic made her feel like she'd be an aged grizzled warrior, only for her to be a bright and more upbeat character comparably. Far as design goes I honestly dislike her hair its too modern, its a problem I feel with fantasy setting using too modern hairstyles it feels like a 80s African American hair as opposed to a proper African hair. Beyond that nah I had my reservations with her being a Lothar considering what we know of Anduin Lothar and how actual "Woke" things that have permeated it has made me question her.
@@Noneya409 True, but that partially makes my point. Nothing in this game is really culturally African, you could get that they half ass tried with Zandalar but no at the end of the day thats supposed to be the Aztec empire with dinosaurs. Nothing is really culturally representing Africa, having black humans is kind of a afterthought in Warcraft considering like 15 years ago we learned humans are just the shrunken descendents of the Vrykul who are obviously Vikings Warcraft when it started was just Random Euro looking humans fighting big green people, hell back in the day the Light was just an Allegory for Christianity. As its become an MMO and added variety to the humans, Nothing really African came into play.
@@Koryn_99 they tried with Zandalar, also Africa is more than that you know, you have the ancient kingdoms of Ethiopia and the Kush who gave even the Romans what do.
i think it was always like this, where ppl would pull half the dungeon at the start, the only reason why we see that happening now is because blizzard locked both heroic and mythic difficulty under a time gate so regardless of what difficulty you would play before now you are stuck in the only available one. which I think is the real problem, but also think that its nice that more people get to enjoy the "end game"
For me the one gripe I have with Faerin is the fact that she is supposed to be related to Lothar? Really? I mean...that's a bit of a stretch to me...when this lady calls her by her last name I immediately started saying: you are NOT a Lothar.
Honestly? This expansion is the first one since Legion where I have actually enjoyed the game and the questing. Faerin I honestly think is a good character, and they didn't do what I thought they were gonna do with her and in the words of Cartman "Put a chick in it, make her lame and gay" She actually seems like a decent character. Doing the quests in Hallowfell at 80 honestly made me like her even more. The Questing and leveling feels good, I love the Hero talents, though I agree I can pull 10-15 mobs and be fine, specially on certain classes like Paladin or Warlock. With that being said, some Hero Talents for some classes.. suck. Leveling a rogue (Which tbh I don't like rogue as a class in general. not my style) was rough, and the Hero Talents just weren't fun for me.I plan on getting each class to 80 so. We shall see how I feel about other classes. So far Warlock, Paladin, and Rogue are the classes I have leveled, with DK next. Warlock and Paladin feel strong. I really like Delves, I think they are interesting. And each zone does feel good story wise. What I DON"T like is the fucking TIME gating. The fact that we have to wait to unlock Earthen is a little irritating and some quests can't be done till 80 which does kinda suck for leveling.
Working on 4th fully geared alt. Have to say this expansion is amazing. Love the story, dungeons and content. Good stuff. Great video can’t wait for more wow content!
Thank you for using your platform to try and shut down the people who are hating on Faerin for being a black disabled woman. I normally avoid zone chats, but I was in the Hallowfall general chat yesterday asking if the cinematic bugged for anyone else. It got into a discussion about Faerin, and some arse called her a "DEI checklist". Honestly, I love that she doesn't le her disability destroy her hope while acknowledging that she makes mistakes, like the one that got her injured. The Arathi are taught to find joy where they can, and she is a shining example of that.
It would be cool if you get your heroic talents from your class halls from named npcs, for instance: for DK, the four horsemen teach you their hero talent.
I just got my Paladin to level 80 last Monday. I'm loving War within so far and I think its off to a great start! i really enjoyed the leveling experience and seeing the characters newly fleshed out. Especially in those "Stay a while and listen" dialogues.
@@seraclass2237 thats why all of bfa was trash and 96% of the playerbase hated it. Just cuz ur arrogant, doesnt mean ur right lol Who likes half assed wicket witchcraft bullshit for entire zone? Lolol gtfoh with ur love of mediocrity
@@michaelgarrett139 How can you say that? It's one of the darkest zones in some time if you go through the story. Also dangerous if you didn't have flying.
Experience playing mage is that I can't mass pull because I die. On DK with much worse gear I'm immortal and can stand in everything. Evoker as a 3rd toon is a middle ground. Think most specs come down to "if you have everything up, you're a god" and DK is simply "I always have another god-button"
I ended up becoming a fan of Faerin's character after the main campaign, and I don't mind her having one arm when it comes to her character. HOWEVER, I will criticize it only because I think her "shield arm" looks really stupid. Like it's just floating on her "arm stump". There's a side dialog section where they discuss the option of her getting a proper prosthetic, and I really hope we reintroduce that as an option.
same, i became a fan too, she looked like a hardass from the trailers, but she's not like first impressions gave at all. pun not intended, but she's a warm and radiant character.
Really enjoying the war within, there are such a variety of cool activities for you to do to make you feel like you are making progress on your account without sacrificing efficiency. One thing i will say is that I think some classes are a bit overtuned but like I'm playing assassination and I CANNOT tank alot of elite at once like your describing. I feel like plate wearing/ tanky classes may be able to do this.
I was alright with Faerin until the Stay Awhile and Listen moment around the forge. Literally just turned down a prosthetic arm because reasons? Like, what? You'd atleast be able to hold a shield properly, even if you didn't want to use it in normal living scenarios.
She's probably use to herself not having an arm. She even says she doesnt wanna have to relearn stuff. Its understandable and her own choice. She does well enough without the arm.
@@nome1149 i don't mind most of the story so far, I've enjoyed most of the cinematics and characters. It's the best this team and company will do, just have to suck it up
6:15 I'm fairly confident they WERE going to make her an overpowered character initially. Really you can feel Metzen's fixes the most with this character. Shame he couldn't have gotten to it before they settled on that horrible broccoli hair, and whatever they decided to do to her in the full cinematic when she's actually very cute in-game. I'll point out, it makes perfect sense why Faerin would volunteer time at the orphanage, she says it herself. She was the FIRST orphan among the Arathi down there, and wants to help others like she was helped. This also makes one realize how young she is, she's only 18-19. Little bit younger than Anduin. They'll make a wonderful couple to cement the Alliance joining the Arathi Empire 4 expansions in the future lol.
I'm like you. Played since vanilla. Friend got me this xpac and I admit the visual is amazing. But it's too easy, you level and gear and stuff really fast, gild has no value so why bother with professions except if your feeding a raid group. I did delves at 78 and got to level 5 with ease solo and quit to power level in random dungs cuz I was out of story line quests. I can't reccomend the game. Hardcore has value (but sure sucks to die)
I might be the only one who feels this way but blizzards story telling feels alot like a Disney movie, or a bad anime. The gameplays pretty fun and the story itself is good but the way it comes across feels very... sheltered?
I think most people overhype the story, because its just better then the last few expansions, where it was very bad disney, now its just disney level story. Generally, WoW lives of the great lore of the world, this is my only reason I would play. It has nice music too. However now that gameplay isn't that great, and its like attacking doomie targets all the time. In short, you are right, if you seen good animes, you know that storytelling in WoW is just at the disney level
Warcraft has never been disney. Maybe lately. But this isnt disney. Genocide isnt disney lolol mind control and rape arent disney lolol betraying ur family and killing or condemning them isnt disney. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
the part where you mentioned we being op, pulling 5 mobs and elites is really class dependant.. So far i have leveled warlock, shadow priest and fire mage to max level, and my priest and mage do struggle in that regard (unless i have burst, which otherwise it does get dangerous);
The problem I have Faerin is that I was led to believe she was this bad ass "Grace Jones" (look it up kids) character with attitude and heat to spare... However far from it, she's this sweet voiced little sunny Mary who just follows Anduin around like a puppy.
I tried getting back in to WoW yesterday, but I just wasn't feeling it... It's been over a year since I last played and before that I was on a several year hiatus and I just didn't know what to do. I've basically missed most of the last 4 expansions and the little level up to level 20 for free doesn't really help me to experience what I've missed and why I should care about playing more of the game... I also don't have anyone to play with, which isn't really Blizzard's fault, but it still makes the game a little less enjoyable.
One thing I really thought was cool from Guild Wars 2 is the elite specs had npc's associated with the elite spec explain their lore to you when you found them
Professions needed a upgrade, but what we got in DF and WWI, isn't my thing at all. Seems like so much busy work and stuff to level up. I'd honestly it go back to what it was, but offer actual patterns that make a difference. I liked what TBC had with the powerful BOP weapons and sets that held their own for a good portion of the expansion.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Faerin. She comes across as being very hopeful and heroic without being overly naive, and the advice she gives to Anduin feels like it comes from her own experiences and hardship. A great representative for what the Arathi we befriend are all about.
Wow, so true regarding the hero points needing some small quest line to unlock each one. Kind of lazy for them not doing that. Just a missed opportunity, for sure. They KNOW we love that stuff, too. Legion evermore proved that to them with all of the class fantasy quest lines
I like the whole "feeling powerful" part, we saved the world how many times now? We should be a World boss level of power by now surely. Getting killed by a random mob or 3 would feel embarrassing. (Yes I know, plots/balance ect, just saying)
It's been great. My only complaint is I'm an Undead Warlock and *I would eat Anduin's brains* 💀🧠 so not really concerned with his plight or the armless lady and her armored human friends lol I would literally eat them. So story depth is a bit lost on me.
@@Thalarion ""Dead to the living"" Is what almost everyone of them says. And have/had a Ability to eat Humans. @@cooldj06 Yep same on my warrior who is less geared(prot tho) I can pull insanely big packs and survive... With arcane mage I pull a big pack(for example elites in hallowfall) do a perfect rotations with all cd's and defensives and end up with 10% hp so have to heal again and wait again for cds, tho with shifting power and evocation/arcane surge/touch of the magi being on low cd its not that big of a deal, but I am kinda salty hahahah
Cool, such a great expansion and great stories. That you've already begun end game content not even a month in (that's why a lot of us quit during legion and never came back to retail). That sounds like another DOA expansion to me. Back to SOD for me and my friends!
The difference in class experiences is insane, some specs need to use coolies of they accidentally pull more than one mob, or they will need to flee, or die. The world feels dangerous for the first time i remember, though only on squishy non healing specs
I think the crystal is the end of Sargera's sword. It honestly looks like the tip his sword and my theory is azeroth kind of accepted this sword and crystalized it with her blood etc. (this is purely a theroy)
Anduin should of had a role model to replace varian to a degree as a father figure to look up to and channel the warrior spirit in himself. But also a guide to welding the light.
As much as I would prefer base dungeons being harder, I think the reason is to prioritize M+ and I'm unsure if it is possible to have both harder base dungeons with a reasonable difficulty for M+. Or maybe for you and me, base dungeons are too easy, but to the casual playerbase lax tuning of the base dungeons might be just their speed. So I think we might have to accept that level of tuning for the normal and heroic dungeons. I think it is just a shift of classic versus retail. Where heroics and norms are for casuals or ppl getting alts geared enough for mythic+ and I don't believe that step should be necessarily difficult.
@@RoarinShots Thank my friend Telrander. He's been helping me with thumbnails for maybe two-ish years now? Him and I take turns making thumbs, but he's the real mastermind.
IMO Best expansion launch so far. RE the difficulty, just wait for Mythic's to be added (and M+), I wouldn't be so quick to moan about being overpowered. My wife had the same experience all the while seeing TONS of people struggling and dying out in the world (she was so confused).
I feel Feren’s designs is extremely tokenized but writing wise she’s well done so she’s a 50/50 then again we had our first handicapped characters via the horde Kargath Bladefist 😂
I played final fantasy xiv since launch... First time I quit mid expansion. Just felt no connection with the story or charecters. The war within on the other hand...still hooked.
So far the story has been great! Love the xpac so far, the majority of the new characters are all written quite well. Faerin is pretty darn good one, curious to see where this xpac and saga go.
Beledar has NOT been explained, and we probably won't learn about it until near the end xpac i'm assuming. And yeah i still agree, a quest line to explain why you are getting Hero Talents would have been nice. Artifact weapons didn't just appear in our hands. Azerite gear didn't just pop onto our bodies, Legendaries in Shadowlands even had questline for them. You were popping Defensives when pulling elites, and using your deathstrike, if you just stood there and didn't do that. Elite would have obliterated you. So I don't want to hear omg its so easy bullshit. In Dungeons and Dragons, you level up right? Eventually you hit a point where the fodder doesn't matter anymore. the GM can seen a small army of minions at you, and your mage obliterates half or more of their forces before they even reach you, and once they get to the Melee Fighters, monks, and paladins at times become fodder slicers. That is all that regular mobs are. Fodder. It is the elites where things start to get serious. We aren't just the Champions of Azeroth, we are the leaders of our Class Order halls. We have kills old gods, and demons, fallen titans, and etc. If we EVER step into a new xpac, and its back to a wolf is kicking our ass. We had better of been some how stripped our power and levels. And I can tell you now if they ever did an xpac where we had to "re-level" it would be game suicide. Granted lore wise if its done right I'd dig it, the re-leveling that is, but at the same time pvpers, endgame only players would go feral at this idea.
I think the "too easy" argument is class dependent and dependent on whether or not you are 80. I leveled my warrior first. Absolutely smashed most of the content until I hit level 80, where the scaling just went a little crazy. Then, I levelled my mage, and that was one of the more difficult experiences I had in all of WoW. Delves were almost impossible to do because bosses can't be slowed/rooted, and quests I completely forgot about on my warrior were incredibly difficult.
It is far too easy.. Im playing mage myself, but mage is supposed to be one of the harder to do well with (that’s what makes mage fun) but all the content is still too easy… overall Im having fun, but I still wish for a more challenging gameplay. Nothing feels dangerous in this world, and leveling is cozy but feels braindead kinda.
I got to max, I wanted to PvE again this expansion but I got bored so fast. People don’t even stop to fight in the dungeons. It was super frustrating. I’m back to doing BGs waiting for Arenas to start. Wasn’t a fan of delves. After the first one I didn’t even want to try another
I really like the story so far. Just finished ringing deeps (hit 80 from doing all the side quests and doing delves) I’m REALLY like Dagran. I’m happy he’s getting elevated into the lore. I think they are setting up some new leads for the next 20 years. Happy with where Magni’s story has been going too. Just about to start Hallowfall.
