Other things to keep in mind for switch: Invasions isn’t finished, and even combo trials isn’t finished (there are some characters with only lesson 1). Also, it’s hard not to get the floating head brutality in switch.

I think the reason why the switch version of MK1 looks and plays like this is probably because of how much storage space it comes with, so a few things like graphics needed to be scaled down in order to fit

dude i have MK11 for switch and it does not look anywhere near this bad. the fabric and armor look good and realistic to me. the faces look fine. obviously i wish it had higher definition /pixel density. but we’re also dealing with not-so-powerful hardware. the characters look plastic here in MK1, yikes.

You didn't even experience half of the issues that the switch version has. The graphic quality and the long load times are only some of the issues. Currently, it's an incomplete game, there are issues with many projectiles, matchmaking on ranked is terrible and the lag, so much lag.

They released a patch last night that adds the rest of Invasions, makes the graphics SLIGHTLY better, and I’m pretty sure they also foxed the head floating glitch (both times I’ve done it, the head has fallen, so…)

I bought the game for the switch, and despite the game playing pretty well (mostly)...the way NetherRealm left the port in this state is unacceptable, I'm sorry. Look, when MK11's graphics were a bit downgraded, I didn't mind. I just like how the game played. While I understand the graphics of MK1 being downgraded for the switch...this game looks god awful on switch. Look, say what you want about MK11 on switch, but at the very least the graphics were SOMEWHAT decent (not PS4-levels obviously, but still), and the game ran suprisingly smoothly....How in the HELL did NOBODY see the glaring issues in this port?! The loading times are GOD AWFUL! They take way too goddamn long for NO REASON! Oh, and the facial capturing for some characters is somewhat decent, but Johnny...WHAT HAPPENED?! Whenever an intro plays, his face is just plain static! How did anyone at NetherRealm think that was acceptable?! Oh, and whenever I play as or fight against Shang Tsung, sometimes he just appears in the background. No reason at all. Just happens. Oh, and whenever I do the same with Shao Kahn, whenever he swings his hammer, it just floats in the air. Again, just happens, just cuz. Oh, and Invasions mode on Switch isn't even finished. They had four whole months to improve the switch version and add all the crap they needed, but decided to not even bother. Unbelievable. Oh, I paid 70 dollars for the Switch version btw. ...SEVENTY! DOLLARS! FOR A GLITCHY AND HALF-ASSED PORT! They had four months, FOUR MONTHS, to improve the switch version, but chose not to. They KNEW the switch version was awful, but chose not to fix jackshit about it. Why do you think they used PS5 footage for the trailer on Nintendo of America (which had a Steam pop-up that they didn't even bother to hide btw)? Look, I still like playing MK1 on Switch occasionally, but I will NEVER forgive NetherRealm for not even bothering to try and improve the switch version. They had four months to fix the glitches, the loading times, the customization glitches, and adding other Invasions mode levels to the switch, but chose not to. Think about that. God, they BETTER make some improvements sometime.

"this is some mobile gameplay graphics right now" well, the switch is a mobile device. I think nintendo did a good job making people not realise that, the whole connecting it to your TV and all of a sudden it's a "real console" thing messed with people. Most people have a phone that is higher spec than the switch, but for some reason people are too afraid to connect a controller to their phone... Which is why android/ios gaming hasn't really taken off.

I at least appreciate Netherealm to even put this game on Switch. Albiet its forthcoming, its still the full game, no content is left out and the framerate is at least around 60. It still stutters but you can tell they wanted this port to be as smooth as console. Cause remember, this is a handheld, a console you can take anywhere and isnt a steam deck. And I really appreciate that, I hope this game gets better updates so it can be on par with the Mk11 port.

Idk who the hell plays on a switch, I stopped playing on that thing after my 3rd Joycons started drifting and had to replace them, must be awful to have those Switch Lites, where the joycons aren't detachable to replace them easier, what were they thinking.

I have both PS5 and Switch with a pro controller, and I can tell you that both Duelshock and Switch pro are as equally as comfortable. Also regarding the Switch, I tested it myself and it's is slightly faster on PS5 than Switch, the result on PS5 was 00:08:95 , just slightly faster that how you got it on Switch (00:09:02). So perhaps it might be a you thing, since both XBS and PS5 are on the same level, maybe it's your monitor or something, or you just didn't check it properly. And regarding the Switch port itself, it's not being developed by NRS themselves, and Switch is a much weaker console, this should be expected, and I've seen people that do like the Switch port and even thanking Ed Boon directly on Twitter for MK1. So there you have it.
