this is what he did wrong. He did not build tall. The buildings were lvl 1. He needs to invest in counties that won't be his directly but owned by kin. Therefore, having more levies and armies for the KINGDOM.

To be fair, even if you lose the city after you die due to inheritance, if you boost the income and levy of them, you still get part of that. Whilst yes you get less it still keeps the overall troop levy and income you have higher than if you dont invest in other cities. Thats why you can even build in vassal cities cause it can give you benefits.

Also Tommy, Skyrim in general operates on the whole "Might is Right" concept, the same applies to a lot of races like Goblins and Orcs too. Which was why duels for titles were so common. It sucks when you play a low prowess character, but it's amazing when it's a high Prowess. In Orc culture, you actually get an event whenever you pass where your heir is decided by whomever can kill your oldest in a duel. Naturally only the strongest heir leads and it fits naturally into this system. I think you'll have more fun with forming Orsinium.

@@umadbroimatroll7918 if you start development early and play tall so money isn’t an issue every time a character dies, it’s fun. I genuinely think he just doesn’t make the best decisions while playing ck3 but I respect his preferences.

@@umadbroimatroll7918 Its because ya'll don't know how to play it and failing to understand how the eco works. He's -17 with his army up. He doesn't want to play steward player. Also he had like 27 kids in succession because he doesn't understand how the confederal succession works. Its really a him problem, if he doesn't want to understand it then that's fine but he literally broke up his 12 titles on his first death to just like 1 title. Of course you aren't going to be able to afford all your men at arms when you have one tax place. "I want a bunch of kids" he says at the beginning failing to understand the consequence of that when he dies then complains about how the game is dumb and he's getting overthrown despite the fact that's his own damn fault.

sad it got depressing at the end the big catch 22 with ck3 is you have to build up other regions and not just what you can keep eventually what happened to tommy happens and your personally owned properties are not enough to support a whole kingdom unless you are a crazy steward with lots of ownable land slots that's what makes steward so dam good you can personally own a lot of cities in your kingdom

19:18 Tommy, the reason why your heir only gets Winterhold is because Winterhold is your *primary title.* Due to how inheritance works in this game, your heir will always gets your primary title and all associated titles underneath, and if there's any actual titles that won't be snatched by other heir's, you'll get those too. What you should've done in this case is give away your old holdings that you don't need to your other heirs(mostly your second), and then conquer the De Jure Duchy titles of Winterhold and hold them yourself.

I like CK 3 but the issues with it eventually burn me out. The game feels so restrictive with all the arbitrary rules that don’t let you do anything. It seems to me that going martial focus and conquering is just the meta every other play style just kinda feels pointless. And many of the games systems just feel so shallow.

I don't know why everybody has a bunch of kids in the beginning you want one kid to inherit your shit otherwise you end up in a death loop of rebellions by your uncles who are stronger.
