So I Tried Dark Souls Archthrones.. It Feels Like Dark Souls 4!

THIS IS A MOD?! Holy. If somebody told me this is a Dark Souls DLC, I would absolutely believe them. That quality for a mod is astounding.

That pyromancer lady in Carthus has the Black Knife Assassin moveset. It's kind of cool guessing what game these enemies come from.

Hey Spicy, not sure if you've found out yet, but there's a fifth bell to ring, which summons a boss at that black smoke you were wondering about.

Been having a blast with this even with some of them difficult being a little difficult. Farmed a bunch of large titanite shards and today I will see how much of a difference those bosses feel at +6 instead of +3.

I just started the Video, it looks promising, the problem I usually have with these mods like Convergence, is that they increase difficulty waaaay too much, were normal enemies suddenly have insane attacks and literal nukes for spells, I really hope the difficulty is comparable atleast to DS3 without too much crazy effects and what not.

As much as i appreciate gigantic work done towards art direction and general modding/modeling done with adding all of this, the mod feels like it wasn't playtested before demo launch by even devs themselves Its unreasonably painful to play, out of every possible boss, the only reasonable one is golem because his moveset isn't too crazy, and 2 bloodborne boss reskins, but then you literally get 2 crucible knights boss, godskin boss, GREAT OWL BOSS (that damages you a lot with his kick btw), sekiro assasin with Isshin attacks and most importantly Sekiro Monk boss which is mandotary to get +4 and more btw, you only get large titanites after her. idk, it also doesn't feel expanding on souls mechanics as much as it is trying to, well, add everything other games had into DS3 and see if it works. Elden ring reuses a lot of animations from previous games, but enemies also get their own movesets up to those old moves, like fire monks getting smough jump or leyndell knights being lightning infused warriors.

Mods for DS3 breathes tons of new life into DS3 for me. My first time playing through DS3, I honestly didn't care too much for it. I recognize how 'good' of a game it is, but I had a lot of sticking points which makes the experience not very fun for me. Convergence gave me back that sense of entertainment and fun I was missing from DS3. I hope Archthrones does the same when it fully comes out or however.
