So I Tried Getting To 99 ADP in Dark souls 2 

If I were the Emerald Herald, I would be terrified of the player for fighting the Lords, and proceeding to use their souls to solely level Adaptability. Perhaps one day the Bearer of the Curse could have enough i-frames to roll through the fabric of reality itself.

ADP increases your agility stat which affects your s and animation speed so unless your a mage (attunement also increases agility) ADP is a very important stat

There’s a mechanic, where, if you exhaust your stamina bar, you’re punished, and cannot Sprint again until you’ve recovered a full bar’s worth of stamina, plus 1.5 seconds. That’s why you couldn’t run with full stamina. There’s an additional delay of just over a second.

99 ADP is the equivalent to becoming a literal god

Adp gives you more invincibility frames for your roll. It makes the games just slightly easier. You can eventually even roll into enemy weapons as they swing them at you instead of having to roll away from attacks.

I know this game isn't widely loved among the soulsborne community but the fact this many people still care about the game years later is oddly comforting to me.

You may kill the armor merchant at majula for his set, that boosts soul gain

The enemies before dragon rider are all super resistant to thrust and weak to strike(blunt) that’s why the mace destroys them

If you level your ADP to 66 and 2 hand your dodge you effectively get 99 ADP

For you casters out there, dont worry about spending too much on ADP. By having 50+ ATT will get you around 90-100 AGL then spend some(not a lot)points on ADP until you get at least 110 AGL. Cheers

I learnt very recently that the agility stat doesnt change from 31 to 40 adp so unless theres some hidden modifier going to 40 adp is overkill

ADP isn't the only stat you need, though. ATT, while giving you spell slots, also gives (smaller) boosts to agility like ADP does. So to have the best dodge roll in the game, you need 99 ADP and 99 ATT

Fun fact: what you want is not adaptability, it's agility. ADP is the stat that dominates AGL, but it isn't the only one, ATN also gives you AGL every couple of levels to help mages with the whole kiting thing. 100+ AGL is what you want for your rolls to feel like Ds1 rolls.

im not fully satisfied, will you do a level 120 agility build, 99 adp + 99 atn yup attunement boosts the agility stat as well, in the video it was stopped at 116 thats a whole 80 something points into atn for 4 agility points.... worth lol

The latest "souls games" force your aim to the locked on entity, but the earlier ones sometimes give you freedom to free aim, especially when using colossal weapons like ultra greatswords. So what happened to you was you were free aiming left with the mace all the time.

Main issue with ADP (other than i-frames being locked to it) is that you're gonna spend most of your levels raising ADP which also need to be used for other stats to use better stuff

99 adp on original dark souls 2 was pretty nutty. there were a few spells you could backstep through and not take damage

fun fact, if you have enough arrows you can just shoot the dragonrider to death just after the second large knight (I forget their name). Not the most efficient way to kill him but stupidly easy.

I've read it increases poise, if you're not steady as a rock it wasn't worth it.

Ah yes dark souls 2 the only game that has vigor checking chests or straight up poison love it.

The master's hammer is surprisingly good, but the damage you saw on knights was boosted because you used crushing attack on armor

you only need like 36 adp and 6 conjuration to be at the best possible roll, the rest will change very little if at all

If you ever need to power level in ds2 the fastest way is jus go to the bottom of the map and use bonfire in gutter for the boss, pump it up to whatever it’s still a cake walk n he counts multiple times so you can get into the castle without other bosses as well

truly going for the pure dark souls 2 experience by going all-in on what makes it unique Although i think the most optimized route is to skill in whatever you want, and just reskill when you've leveled up enough times, although thats more boring

To reach breakpoint of the same frames as dark souls 1 you only need 24 or 18-22 adapt depending on your attunument stat. People complaining about "You have to level adaptability that takes away my souls for no reason" are not right because how little you actually need to invest and how much levels and souls you get in dark souls 2 compared to other souls.

Steeply diminishing returns after 32 ADP or so, but if you really want to be the agility king, you need 99 ADP and 99 Attunement.

102 agility is the goal. 105 is a little better, but anything above that is a bit of a waste :D You can level either adp or atn

Personally i can't really tell the difference when i did a Platinum Run on PS4, Deprived with 30 Adaptibility (and 6 Vigor because i escaped from a Mental Asylum back then), so i did a Platinum Run on PS3, with Deprived with the starting Stat of 6 Adaptibility and i didn't have much trouble dodging (:

Cool, now I know AGL caps at 116. ADP is a stat for the people that wanted DS1 rolls in DS2. Imo the only bosses that require AGL of 100-110 are the Smelter Demons and Fume Knight (Sir Raime) with honorable mentions to Vendrick, Sir Vestaldt and Ivory King. These are the kings of bs hit boxes. Sir Alonne if you want to see his special death animation. For mobs: high AGL is a godsend against the Fire Salamanders. No offense but I was laughing seeing you get clapped with ADP over 20 - it's almost impossible lul

Attunement also gives Agility, at half the rate of Adaptability.
