I do agree that this game is very much like arknights but why would should arknights sue them? This game operates under a different name and doesnt pull any resources directly from arknights like their art work or music to name a few. It simply is a tower defence game with chibi anime characters as "towers". If this is sueable then game genres would not exist.
Arknights is honestly one of my favorite tower defense games so I'm glad to see others attempt to emulate its gameplay, even if it's a shoddily made knock off like this. A pay-to-play, fully fledged non-gacha game with Arknights' gameplay and polish would be my dream game, but I don't think this is it lol
Yeah. From what I see, this is the classic "new game being a copy of popular game" situation. Most of them are a flop, but some actually works really well. And as long they don't steal any asset from the og game, they aren't illegal. That's just how the world works. New stuff will almost always copy what's trending right now. And if they can, they will make it better. Smartphone technology is one of the example for this. For mobile games, the biggest example of this is the famous Kantai Collection vs Azur Lane. To put it bluntly, Azur Lane basically "stole" Kantai Collection concept and made their own version. The gameplay is different, but big idea of the game is basically the same: warships become cute anime girls and fight some kind of alien looking creature on the sea. Kantai Collection and its diehard fans tried to attack Azur Lane back then, but all they could do was harrassment. They couldn't sue Azur Lane as even tho it copied Kantai Collection, they don't really steal any of the game assets directly. Even when the concept is the same, none of the characters look simillar. The whole game system are also mostly different. If anything, Azur Lane actually fixed some of Kantai Collection's bad parts and make it better. That's why people actually love the "counterfeit" game Azur Lane more than the original game Kantai Collection nowadays.
@@He4vener How many similarities are there? I can't comment on lore since I'm horrid at Chinese. It has a DP equivalent, which is standard. It has different classes, which isn't surprising. You can block enemies with characters, which isn't that innovative either. Enemies move in a fixed path which is standard. Your characters attack automatically after being placed down, which is standard. You can't deploy multiple copies of a character simultaneously, which isn't that innovative. Frankly, there's not much at the systems level that makes Arknights unique. I guess there's ranged/melee tiles and operators being able to block a specific amount of enemies. The former isn't present here. The former seems to be present (there's a number 3 in the stats at 1:48) but I can't know for sure.
Im not sure about the suing part. Did GI sue Wuwa when they outright copied things small as the starglitter shop number to number? But it definitely looks like it has AI elements lmfao. Im just happy arknights was amazing enough to get cloned by fake ass devs. Thats when you know its a good game
They just combined both Arknights, gfl sprite/mechanic and put constant plot of Oasis (neural cloud) being attacked for the 62752th time this month alone
Noticeable transparent material for outfits design is very Arknights thingy It's either transparent material or belts/straps. Thought this looks more of a GFL character rather than Arknights.
of course from similiarities , but if they can manage well it might can catch up Arknight, maybe they are team that inspired by Arknight and try to make their own game based on it
Imma giving it 2/10, why? Bcs we can run around the drom and the character actually interactive in the stage before starting Also bonus 0.5 points for making the poster girl a Nearl ripoffs
Every masterpiece (or a good af piece) has its own cheap copy. Jesselton must've really trying hard to earn some money after getting bailed out of jail.
I can understand fortnite clones aimed at a younger audience where they can potentially fool a bunch of kids. But I don't see 5yos into tower defense gacha games so I see it as an odd choice for a bootleg.
yeah low budget Arknight, well cant they might have passion to make like a game that look like Arknight or inspired by it, maybe they didnt have good capital or team developer, the Character seem like make by AI can indicate they didnt enough money just to pay the real artist, some concept quite good, but why paid gacha. in any case i feel quite interest tho in their concept and en english sound ( better take jp actor due to ez large marketing but it quite costly), if the can manage the game well it might can catch up Arknight or even PTN (Path To Nowhere) not gonna these 2 have good stories mostly dark story
