So I Was WRONG! Progress Mods Vertically Not Horizontally The First Descendant 

The previous video mentioned was taken down again, i want to help as much as i possible can, and share the within the community i don't care about views honestly hope you all have a blessed day.

Just like Warframe, there's enough complexity that just reading and comprehending isn't enough to truly know. You have to use to use the laboratory and test to be sure.

Us warframe players did this for 10 years. Build your base like a monster, AoE is king, try to get your “one shot” weapon/mechanic, have at least 1 of every role ready to go (AoE dps, single target dps, healer, tank). Farm what you want from there.

Coming from Destiny, I call everything blue = rare, purple = legendary, & yellow = exotics 🤣

Theres one more mod that you essentially have to run on every weapon. Action and Reaction gives 61% firearm atk at max level and can be stacked with rifling reinforcement. You should see massive dps improvements with it equipped.

If anyone who played warframe knows exactly how the mods work, it's almost identical. I was able to realise this earlier. Adding catalysts to a mod socket gives you more space to upgrade mods and also resets your character back to level one. Exactly the same as warframe. If you haven't played warframe before then this will go past most players heads.

A lot of the confusion i have seen, comes from the vart majority of creators refusing to use the actual name of items in terms of rarity. Blue = normal / standard (for materials) Purple = rare Gold = ultimate Red = transcendent Either use the colours, or the actual rarity the item says. I have seen many new players asking why they can't find legendary stuff, the answer is because it does not exist in the game. This is not meant as an attack against you, and while I understand your thought process behind "foundation mods" I think it will just add clutter to the already bloated namings from different creators

A lot of players dont look at the Tab menu for the stat when building. Example is the tamer, itnhas the highest dps in the game and a good crit chance, but has the lowes accuracy (hip and sight) and sprint speed, depending on how far your shooting the collosus, majority of your bullets doesnt hit the weak point and depending on what descendant your using the tamer might be the reason why ur getting smack constantly.

The reason you can get a lot of views is largely in part to gamers ability to assume they know better and look for help when they don't know better, even if the answer is right in front of them, which incites unnecessary conflict between those that stopped to self learn and those that didn't. You're just out here trying to help out and people can be toxic towards that. On 3 different purple guns, I prioritized ATK rating for my gun, equiped ALL +ATK I could. I then took the exact same guns and equipped ALL blue mods that made sense for my build and the gun, with 2 slots left over, 1 for elemental damage and 1 to double up your favorite stat using a gold mod (IE ATK, rate of fire, etc), in this case I chose a gold ATK mod. When prioritizing ATK, I lost between 10-20% in 6 other stats and only gained 12% more atk. I don't think a 12% ATK gain is worth losing 10-20% in 6 other gun stats, especially when 3 of those stats are Crit%, Crit Damage% and Weak point%. On purple guns, blue mods are the way to go. Gold weapons, depending on the individual bonus, is when you'd want to focus purely on 1 or 2 stats to really buff that gold weapon bonus.

They’re blue mods not foundationary. 😂 Let’s not add confusing vocabulary.

Dont know if anyone mentioned this but if it is a purple mod and has 2 "booster" stats the second stat wont raise when ranked up. However if the second stat is a "negative" stat i.e. + to recoil, it will raise the negative stat when ranked up. Kinda stupid but it is what it is.

I remember how overwhelmed I was when I first started playing warframe. I feel like I have the basics down already for this game and I’ve only played an hour or 2 lol

I am currently focusing on Firearm-Atk and Weakpoint-Dmg only. Works wonders. Getting up to 860k hits with Nazeistra's Devotion while it's on 160k DPS in Mod-Menu.

Basic mods are amazing (or foundation mods) are swap in and out HP increase, defense increase, rifling reinforcement, are the top 3 I tell my friends to get maxed out asap and In 4th is your melee slot or if you get lucky a grappling hook upgrade it's a good starting baseline 😊

For return on investment, weakpoint mods are not worth it. 10% = 0.1% add. But there is a bug in some of the mods at least where weakpoint is, on Assassin's Edge with 2.0 weakpoint, if you put a 10% mod on, it changes by 0.08 o.O when it should be 0.2, but at the same time a 5% would give 0.1 to the 2.0 which is what it should. With crit rate/dmg 10% mod = 1% in change. With attack power 10% change is 10% add. 1:1 compare of attack power to crit rate, crit dmg, or weakpoint, the 1% of attack power gives more to dps. So build up attack power first (higher the better), clip size and reload also helps. If the weapons crit rate is below 25%, don't put on any crit mods. Weakpoint, just don't put on any weapon as attack power or crit goes further and are not bugged.

Respect for actually posting the correction and especially after you merged down transcendent mods last time.

The PvE genre is something that can take a while to wrap your head around, especially if Devs go in depth with their mechanics like this. I dabble in a bit of Warframe and Save the World, so I can kinda familarise myself with how important individual builds have to be in the early stages. Appreciate the videos as always

Components make those foundation mods scale even harder,try placing all mainstat yellow defense components and just slot a basic def mod and see how it jumps

I don't run HP nor DEF mods. I run my Lepic/Blair as a Glass-cannon.

Not sure why, for example your Blair, if you added 3 more sockets you would 13 spots if nothing else was changed. That means if you added two more mods and socketed them that you would be really restricted on what could fit in those last two spots.

I know I am very confused.

Theres cases and cases for example my bunny i was using electric specialist 81% and technician 50,8% then swaped to focus on electric 77% and 6% cdr, and focus on singular 68% and 6cdr so by changing from blue to purple mods i went from 132% dmg to 145% AND 12%cdr so like i said this does not aply to all mods but some purple are WAY better than blue one.

I could be wrong but I think spear and shield's tool tip for defense value is incorrect because it seems to buff defense far more than indicated.

Ive found that most games don't really do well enough in presenting information. I've yet to find a game a that explains everything as well as they did in Dota 1 and Dota 2 (a game I haven't played in years btw.). It presents information without too much handholding but everything is clear and concise. Even most AAA games don't do it as good as Dota 2 does. But I digress, thanks for the information, @Zoxloots! There are some purple mods that will increase the 2nd stat when you level them. Even some with positive second stats

i'm a Warframe player and for this game i use the same thing (Damage Layer) for modding a weapon: Raw power>Element>crit chance>crit damage>utility (In warframe we have the statut who is really important but in TFD i dont think we have statut)

When you are modig a weapon. You should always press TAB to see real numbers. For ex. if you have base crit. fire rate 10% and you add +20% mod to that. It will not give you 30% only 13%.

Mods with negative attributes are king.

There is a lot of behind the sceen stuff in this game but i have never felt lost or had to look something up because you can see all of the information in the game, literally how something functions what effects what, what works best here and how to avail, gameplay aside the even have back stories for all the characters and their gadgets and i just seen a video yesterday talking about the game being soulless and how no one even has a background i just loled, the game is janky af but hella solid i love/hate it so much

Hey my friend i just want to say the tamer kinda lies about its stats. Its crit chance is terrible, go for enduring legacy if you want to stay with a light machine gun.

The biggest thing that helped when I was learning how to add mods in was understanding how they modified stats and looking closely at the gun's base stats before modding. For me, the base that I build around on every gun is Action and Reaction and Rifling Reinforcement since they stack; get the ATK power up as high as you can, and then add in the rest. A lot of the mods are kind of misleading for how much they really give you, like on a Thunder Cage with a 20% base crit rate, crit rate and crit damage aren't going to pay off; you could have 16 mod slots tied up on that mod that says "35% critical hit rate" but that only is 7% actual crit on a weapon with a base crit rate of 20%. Adding 7% crit rate to that gun definitely isn't worth 16 mod slots, but that same mod added onto Nazeistra's with a 35% base crit rate becomes a 12.5% boost, or a 17.5% boost on a sniper rifle with a base crit rate of 50%, and at those high rates it starts to be worth it to focus on crit damage. It's confusing and you have to closely check each weapon as you mod it, and the DPS stat in the game doesn't really help since it's not always accurate (that 7% crit rate can show >20% DPS stat boost on paper in game, but adding an average crit on 2 bullets in a full magazine definitely is not actually giving you that much). I just wanted to say becareful with your mods. Things like crit rate don't increase your base crit rate the way you think it does adding a 20% increase mod to a 10% crit rate weapon doesn't make the crit rate 30% it gives the 10% crit rate 20% more of itself. Meaning your new crit rate will be like 12% of course this is a worse return on your mod power investment the lower the crit rate a 5% base would be a 1% increase. The same thing goes for elemental procs.

100% some of these players need to chill and realize that not everyone is going to know everything. I've noticed a good bit of really toxic people just jumping down people's throats for not knowing one thing or another. To different degrees we're all learning here. For example, in Warframe shields are more important compared to in TFD. As a Warframe player, I assumed shields would be just as important until I found out DEF and HP are actually what are more important (although that will vary depending on the descendant). IMO, if you don't wanna play a game where there will be players that don't know one thing or another then go play a single player game. Or simply keep your mouths shut if all you're going to do is be negative instead of helpful.

Best purple mod for guns is probably wction n reaction if its a gun w good crit rate. Just compensate by equipping a blue magazine size mod. Obviously thisn is once youve got most slots catalysed

Most of Blair's abilities are Fire Dimension. Also, Dimension Master might be a good replacement for Dimension Spec. Hope to catch you in game.

Never played Warframe. So yup alot of these systems you all are used to for years is bran new to me. First Descendant likely pulled in new players to this type of genre, or people like me who haven't played a looter shooter in a while (and even if we had, those types of games don't have similar systems to First Descendant). Every game has its elitist mentality of people who have been doing this a while. But there are also helpful players and RU-vidrs like this channel. I just hope the helpful part of the community wins out, and the community usnt dragged down by the elitists like many other games have before.

some of the secondary stats of purple mod's do increase with the mod lvl.

I really dislike the term OP when in the majority of cases, what they really are is just strong, not over powered. OP is a term that gets thrown around all the time and it’s lost its real meaning. Even worse is people using the term Broken when that’s just not the case.

I know a lot of players never played Warframe the longest running FTP game ever. So the whole system can be overwhelming just like the dmg and modding system is in Warframe. Study Warframe and You'll know this game no problem. If not then good luck with Your quest for knowledge and power in RNG.

The drop rates sucks on this game. Nexon is going to turn this like maple story. The stabilizer drop rate is a fuckin joke!!, 0.4% on normal mode, hard mode 1.4% fuckin nexon is greedy as fuck they want you to spend 100 dollar bundles just to get 2 crystallization catalyst. You need the shape stabilizer to increase your chances for the crystallization catalyst blueprint. The shape stabilizer doesnt drop at all. Its very fuckin rarely. They should redesign the game when we use the stabilizer, you should allowed us to chose what we want for the reward. So its random when you use the stabilizer. So good luck to you all. 🙄😒
