@@belenfajardo247 yea I agree. Olive tone can be any shade from light to dark. When people think of olive tone, they think of someone who is medium shade and tan. Olive tone is green. The lighter someone is, the more likely they skew towards cooler olive tone and the darker someone is, usually the skew more warm olive tone
He actually talked about his skin tone. Cold means, u have pale and red under tone. Warm means pale and yellow under tone (mostly Asians). Neutral tone means u have both tones. ❄️☀️
Cold is like winter. Cold u know what color like ocean, snow good for people with cold tone like I said for pale and red skin under tone. For warm, is like summer, sunset, sunny yellow , orange. Suitable with people with warm under tone. Pale and yellow skin under tone (mostly Asians)

Yeah! I waited until the end of the video to like.....put a word out? Eddie's tanner(is that a word? More tan?) But you can always see like his blood? Like where his skin is a bit thinner and you can see his veins(gotta apologize I'm off work and I had drinks so do whatever you will with that information). But he looks more cool toned(I don't do well with make up idk) like his makeup-less tone is refreshing like a drink on a hot day. He said that he looks cakey but I think with the warm makeup he looked really edited when he wasn't. He's gorgeous regardless but cool suits him so well😢 and I love the education he gives despite that I'd never be brave enough to test makeup like he can.

I’ve been watching Eddie’s videos for about 5 years and this video made me realize that he’s the only beauty RU-vidr that I can understand. I like that he doesn’t act like he knows everything and calls himself out for his makeup fails in the past. He experiments so much and is very technical yet great at explaining products. Also I’ve always been an art nerd so this cool tone and warm tone stuff comes natural to me. As someone who also loves makeup but isn’t a pro, it’s nice to find someone who I share the same amount of knowledge with about makeup.
You’d always say you were autumn, but there’d be so many cool toned hair colors you’d have where i was like “but that looks so good on him!” So i always thought maybe you were more neutral than you thought. Glad you made this exciting, new discovery!!

I really think Eddie is cool toned but it is a little hard to see it without the comparison until this video. It clearly showed and it can really change your makeup if you test warm and cool-toned colors on you. I was the same as Eddie who thought tan skinned people are automatically warm but i recently touched the cool-toned side of my bigger palettes and it definitely made a difference, especially when i put on my eyeshadow before the bb cream/foundation.
This cool tone makeup looks sooooo good on you. Plus the way you put it emphasizes your features in a good way. Makes your eyes look so pretty too. The warm makeup actually gives you a yellow tone that doesn't look healthy.
This honestly helps and opens a lot of room for my makeup improvement. I guess I do have to be more open with different colors too and yessss i do see the difference on both sides.. it does look like moreee moreee natural on you 😍
You look so much more chic with cool toned makeup! A matte face with a slight sheen on the lips really suits you I think, as opposed to 100% matte lips
I recently figured out that I had an olive skin tone, even though I’m quite fair. In the past, if I was being colour matched I would match warm in the summer and neutral in the winter, but neither looked quite right. I learned that more fair olive tends to lean cool, and darker olive tends to lean warm because olive has blue undertones with yellow overtones. I think it’s a common misconception that all olive skin tones are medium to deep.

I recently discovered I'm a neutral/cool tone so I've been switching to cool tone makeup as well and it really is incredible how such a subtle difference can make such a change in look! You look so refreshed, healthy and younger with the cool tones. Great job!

Undertones are so weird to understand 😭 I researched a LOT and then confirmed with a professional stylist before I went blonde cause I didn't want a blonde that washes me out

I'm Korean, Native American Indian and a lil Russian so my tone was hard for me too. I was told I was autumn neutrals. My hair everyone compliments me when I wear black neutral. LOL I have been told by my hair dressers, to never go blonde unless an Asian stylist does it.

He looks Muted Olive(neutral) to me, not muted cool(red), the red based foundation looked separate from his hands. As an "olive undertone" I move from neutral to warm depending on sun exposure.
@@BMB200 undertone doesn't change from face to hand, that's why both of his foundation looks separate from his hand. But as he said you would think he is warm just because of the swatch. It's not uncommon for olive "undertone" to use cool or neutral foundation, if they can't find a shade with an olive undertone, since it would look better than a warm foundation. This is especially the case for lighter olive skin. The person who did his personal color analysis is probably not adept at seeing olive skin. Olive skin goes from neutral to warm, so "cool olive" is actually neutral by biology. I suggest checking out this channel - 유이레 Uireh color. @@BMB200 You have to figure how your shade changes as you tan. Almost everybody body part has a different shade, but same undertone. You can see that even though the cool red based foundation blended well on him, the redness in his face was increased instead of evening out his skin tone.
@@BMB200 He is using a cool red undertone foundation, not an olive undertone foundation that's why they look separate on his skin. It was never about the shade in my first comment!
@@Lore.n if u check your underside of ur wrist and look at the color of your veins if its more blue/purple= cool tone green= warm tone if your veins appear a mixture of both = neutral tones

The method of checking your veins whether you're warm or cool toned is actually not the most accurate way. Its quite difficult to determine your skin tone through that imo. My veins are kinda both warm/cool but the professional told me I'm not neutral.
