Can't believe everything you see on the internet, "But" according to one of the Tundra forums, someone's '24 TRD Pro just blew up with just over 2k on odometer 😢 Last I checked that's a '24 and Hybrid 😮

From what ive seen on facebook, there have been a few 24s with issues. The big question, will they add the 24 to the recall. Not enough info out there about how many 24s have an issue and if its the same problem. Tough to gauge by social media because everything can get trumped up real quick

Dang , Toyo massive problems put you between a rock and a hard place. I tried to tell the world , but no one believed me. They will believe now. I have owned Toyota trucks continually since 1982. But I will keep my 12 Tundra and 13 Taco, both bought new.

I can’t imagine any owner stuck with a new Tundra having much success in selling it or finding a dealership to take it in on a trade on a more reliable truck, at least until these issues are resolved.

It’ll probably be different dealer to dealer, as they are independently owned. For instance, ive inquired about going after one of my favorite Tundras, and they would accept my 23. If you are part of the recall though, may be a different story

You do some damn good reviews of the Tundras, this is the first year I was looking to purchase one, but with all the problems Im going to wait till the 25's come out. They are beautiful trucks and great colors.

I've bought my share of new vehicles, but I've never paid markup. During the pandemic, I learned which dealerships tried to screw over people and which ones didn't. There are a few small dealerships that I made note of that I will go to if I'm ever in the market for a new vehicle again.

Yup had a raptor, regret getting rid of that too lol. I’m in a 24 tundra. I have no problems with it actually, and when the lease is done I’ll likely buy a pro. Only thing that can change that plan is if my current tundra starts having issues. So far so good though. Except the squeaky ass brakes.

Im looking at getting a lunar rock Platinum with power running boards for 65k in the same area you are. Is this a hood price? Also do i dont think i have to worry about the engine issue on the 24's but i havent heard if they corrwcted the issue at the factory or of its just not out yet. Any advise is helpful.

Right now, the 2024 isn’t part of the recall. That doesn’t mean it won’t be added though. Kind of a wait and see game. As far as price, Research around a bit. May be able to get even lower.

@@TundraDude34 thanks, I haven't seen any other lunar rock Platinum models with the power running boards in the area. Glen Mills has this one and other dealers near me in Glen side or longhorn only have the Platinum lunar rock without running boards.

I call this gen tundra the “Might Truck”…might make it to destination…might not! 😂 no thank…too much stress in the world already, last thing I need is a unreliable truck full of issues and uncertainties! I work on Oil fields on very remote areas, my 2nd Gen 2018 platinum hasn’t let me down 70k miles later (105k current). Don’t want to have engine failure or any mechanical issues in deep country rd with limited to no phone reception! Yall can keep the fancy tech and extra 5 mpg…I choose reliability 🍻

Inventory is still low in my neck of the woods but still better than it has been. With the reported sales being a lot higher this year so far...do you have a break down of how much of the sales has been fleet sales? I've seen where some other brands were inflating numbers via fleet sales and/or something like that?

Question: Occasionally on the window sticker I see the distributor option “CS Catalytic Converter Shield - $549.00”. I’m not sure exactly what that is. Is it some sort of theft deterrent or something else entirely. Just wondering…

@@TundraDude34 - Thank you. The window sticker is on a 2024 Hybrid 1794 loaded out more than most Capstones. I’m buying it in Arkansas. I haven’t figured out how to attach a picture in these comments or I would do that.
