I finally got this keyboard with the macropad and displaypad. Everything you've said is dead on, the software has been improved, but it still has some stuff that needs more improving, I've told that to the devs, they have a discord so it's easy to get a good back and forth going.
Just be aware that if a youtuber/twitch streamer who's main focus is reviewing tech and playing games has little use for these, the odds of us needing it, is fairly low. I do own an Everest Max, and it looks good, but I've noticed I barely even use the display keys on the regular board.
Yeah, that's kinda what I was trying to communicate when I brought that up. That said, different people have different workflows, and some people who do a lot of dedicated editing may indeed be able to make good use of them.
Picked up the Everest 60 for $80 USD a few days ago, very very happy, insane value... Moving away from my Anne pro 2, I might an ASMR Nerd fan ;) Thanks for another mountain review, always excellent quality content mate!
Awesome, great buy and so glad you're enjoying it! The Anne Pro 2 was a fantastic board for its time, but Mountain absolutely knocked it out of the park with the Everest 60.
if you have the Everest core/max, couldn't you use the usb passthrough on the keyboard and use a short dual 90 degree usb to usb-c cable to avoid having to plug it into the motherboard? if you can, even though its still uses a cable to be able to function, it'd reduce clutter and you'd avoid the motherboard all together, saving a usb port on it.
I aquired the displaypad before christmas and pluged it to my pc just recently and did only test for a hour or two. I must admit, that i also did not see many reasons to use it. But i think the "real" reason for it is, that it is indeed NOT powerful enough. The Macros ... you can only use some keys and clicks - no mouse movement recordings (i know, there is a reason, yes ...) but also there are just very limited options to run programs etc. You literary only can run exe files (and no launch parameters). Also the windows functions are very limited. no sound / volume settings, no mic mute or toggle through the input / output sources or smth like that.
Woah mountain is sure putting out a lot of items, imo they should refresh the everest max with the same 1ualitx of life changes the everest 60 got but seems like they are not doing that
Does anyone have a link to the ASMR artist Nick mentioned in the video? I searched for FanCam ASMR and just ended up with KPop ASMR, which, no offense, ain’t my jam.
