LEGO is the largest toy company in the world, but it's still prone to making mistakes and errors during its set production process. From creating LEGO instructions to designing the set box art and taking product images, there are a lot of little details that are sometimes overlooked. And the mistake for the Ghost Busters car is also a mistake in a Minions the rise of Gru set that I built with my friend so when we were building Keven or Stuart that same mistake was happening in that set I am not sure if LEGO has fixed or not

For the printed pieces that are similar but mismatched, this is intentional (although frustrating). Lego often updates printed elements and when they do, they just start putting them in sets that called for the previous design. If you purchase a set that has been in production for a long time, like assembly square, you will get dials, clocks, etc. that are updated designs while the instructions will not match.

Malformed Legos are so rare you can sell them for a profit. If you ever find a Lego that didn't fill the mold all the way, it can be worth five bucks or more depending on the piece, color, and if it's vintage

#6 the minecraft one. doesn't seem like a mistake so much as the photographer opting to move the piece for visibility in the shot, otherwise its largely obscuring the flower from that angle. sometimes you have to do things like that for clarity and considering that the angle is optimal for everything else from a composition standpoint this would have been the best solution

I have seen this kind of minor mismatches on the box art for several Lego sets, mainly small to mid-sized sets with several different components. Often the box art tries to show-off all the components in a single photo, and if this implies having to do slight alterations and/or move some stuff around, often they will.

Note the large yellow plates to be added in step 12 of the second model of set 8040 (on page 13 of the instructions)... And I would love if more older sets be included in your videos. Mistakes did happen back then, too.

I’m building the dr strange sanctum sanctorum right now and I’ve noticed a few weird things. There’s some cone pieces in the first bag that have yet to be used in the build so far after bag 13, a spare piece from bag 8 ended up being mandatory for bag 9, and one part of the set is 4 jewel pieces broken off from a plastic circle, and one step shows placing one gem on its own, before the next page shows breaking the other 3 off from the circle bit.

For me the worst "mistake" of all was the large hole on both side of the noses of 7897 train. It's not in the pictures, but is present in the details (4 holes in total).

The ice cream truck police chase set (60314) there is a mistake on book 1 on page 13, it tells you to get a 2 x 2 white flat piece but I doesn't tell you where to put it. On the next page (page 14) it magically appears on the atm machine. Hopefully this makes sense lol, I tried my hardest to explain it.

My old set 8877 Vladek’s Dark Fortress was actually missing a black 1x16 (part 2465) brick. It was to be used as a support piece over the gate. One of the only times I had a lego piece missing and i’ve never forgotten it.

For that Ninjago Jungle Dragon set, I'd follow the box myself. Those weapons are likely supposed to be Kama, a traditional Japanese farming tool often used as a weapon by ninjas.

There's also a few construction rule-breaks in the AT-AT set, but they're done intentionally to increase structural integrity at the expense of not being able to disassemble those portions of the model.

Products like LEGO sets often have their promotional images taken long before actual production. Box art mismatches may be “mistakes” but I guarantee it’s not photographers messing up builds. It’s doubtful the photographers even build them, they’re likely provided by the design team in their preproduction state. Fun video but some of the speculation is silly.

The Buggy on Mistake 12 is actually duplicated in its entirety, you can see the duplicate chair and all sorts.

Mistake 12, the whole set it a duplicate print on paper. There are for instance three seats showing and the front is also off.

1) At no point do these sets "break rules" 2) Unlike the thumbnail suggests, at no point would a brick placement cause damage to a piece or force you to crack the brick in order to place it 3) There is no weird piece placed onto the motorcycle's front that should not belong there 4) These are all in fact misprints, photos taken incorrectly, typos, and printing errors.

That lego train in the video reminded me of a really cool Lego train my mum got me long ago. I remember I thought the battery price looked really cool and I wanted to add it to one of my Ninjago sets..... so I.... cut off the cable and attached it with no care in the world. Worst part was, years later, me and my mum laugh about the story and she says “the worst part was, the cable could be disconnected from the actual piece!” God, that made me want to punch younger me.

that ninjago dragon set error was similar to one i had in the avengers bike from 2020, the piece was show. oriented one way on the box and another in the instructions. i went with the box orientation

I actually think I got a bagging error in my Lego titanic. When building a piece of the outer hull (I don’t remember which phase or bag specifically) the set called for multiple 1x1 blue cylinders throughout the section, but when I got through all of the ones that are in the bag, I was short 1 than the instructions called for. I thought I simple had just dropped it or lost it somewhere while building, but couldn’t find it for the life of me. But, When going back, I realized that I hadn’t lost the piece, but the piece had instead been replaced by a 1x2 white tile, a piece that had no need at all to be in that section or bag; they had given me the wrong piece when they thought it was right since it fulfilled the amount the bag required

the set 60042 5:00 they do have kickstands on the other side but there's a different mistake here. On the photo you could see a man riding red motorcycle and woman riding black one. But in the instruction its swapped, woman is riding red one and man riding a black one

Wait at 6:57 there is mich more wrong! Its not only the second spoiler, but the whole passenger side of the car seems to have been copied and added a second time. The car has three seats, and on the passenger side there are 2 mounts for the roll cage. And take a close look q the front axle too..

There’s an instruction mistake in the Lego New York City skyline set (21028) between steps 71 and 72 where you have to build a segment of the 1WTC (steps 4 and 7) where there’s either a piece miscount or a typo. I would share a link for more detail but I can’t :/

4:28 I don't think the 1x4 plate is the mistake, rather the 1x1 modified with studs on all sized being put somewhere it can't be an infact isn't because it's supposed to be a 1x1 modified with one side stud.

The one at 6:00 is also not a mistake, it's the part being substituted for it's own replacement. I believe it was last year that all parts with the '82 gauge' print on them were redone.
