This was performed at an airfield,epic concert,Metallica opened for AC/DC in The Monsters of Rock in September of 1991 in Moscow.This was a free concert,take in mind,this was the end of the Cold War,the Berlin Wall had recently fallen,and Russia was experiencing new found freedoms not seen before..
Hi my dear.... I think this is the largest audience ever to attend a concert... 1.6 million... a world record ! But to be honest.... why ??? What do the people in the very back see, if they even see something... except large screens on which this concert is shown for the people in the back ? This is why I prefer to be front of stage at such big concerts, like Mylene Farmer in two weeks. In 1991, I was in Berlin at a big concert where 350.000 people were... and guess what ? I was almost in the very first row and enjoyed every moment of this event ! But I think this is the very first concert Metallica gave in Russia after the end of the Soviet Union era... and the Russian people were all "hungry" for these events, of course, since noone has ever seen euch a big concert there, I believe. And it's of course also about the feeling of coming together and being able and allowed to have fun... besides experiencing great music and great bands. The song itself is a classic by Metallica,m of course... They have lots of great songs, especially in the 80s. My favourite is "Master of puppets", that's a great song to react to from Metallica !
