Join me on an unforgettable fishing trip as I venture from Neah Bay to Swiftsure in search of the elusive halibut! Along the way, I reel in an impressive number of sablefish, adding to my already diverse haul. I show the bait and lure to catch a lot of these fish. But the excitement doesn't stop there! I'm thrilled to introduce three new species to my lifelist: the rosethorn rockfish, flathead sole, and sablefish. I also catch arrowtooth flounder and yelloweye rockfish. As if that wasn't enough, I'm also graced with the presence of majestic orcas and humpback whales, creating a once-in-a-lifetime adventure on the high seas.

I might get out for salmon this week. I just wanted to get one last chance at halibut and deep bottom fish before they closed it. The salmon fishing out there looked really easy all the salmon guys were pulling them up all over the place. But there will be a lot of salmon caught over the rest of the summer and fall so I wasn't too worried about it.

Dude we need to go sometime. Caught some real nice resident coho a few weeks ago. Heading out on the ship soon but will be back for punks next year

Hit me up on Instagram. I didn't go for resident coho this year. It reduces our quota numbers when they see you out there and they aren't worth the gas for how big they are.

Miso black cod is my all time favorite way to cook them. Next time be sure to keep them!

There's plenty of black cod out there! I couldn't hear how deep you were fishing, must be in deep water though Black cod are deep. Got a nice Halibut great job. The humpback whale they do like the Herring they mite even go for krill too, That's too bad about your jig at the end dang! Does halibut end soon? 🎣

Thank-you. I heard they were in deep water but I got them as shallow as 320'. Halibut ended yesterday but it will open up again Aug 16 because there is quota left.

Thank-you. I think the biggest lingcod I've caught were in 350'. My biggest rockfish was in 120'. But my biggest fish I've ever caught was a 14' shark in 50' of water.
