This episode is a masterpiece. It's an episode still spoken about to this day. Never ever in twd do we see a fightscene as memorable as this one. Carl's eye getting show out. Badass. This was a monumental moment in history for the gang that everyone will still be thinking of in s11. Alexandria will not fall on this day 😉

Father Gabe finally steps up! YES. Seeing all of Alexandria come together to fight back the horde is so wonderful and moving.

God, I love this episode. "Our prayers have been answered. God will save Alexandria, because God gave us the courage to save it ourselves." I mean how could you not get goosebumps?! Then the scenes of all of them joining Rick and the scene of their faces flashing. Such a powerful episode in the sense that we see how truly powerful this group of strangers turned family are. It even makes me feel powerful just watching it. And both of your reactions to it were EVERYTHING I imagined. Amazing amazing amazing

in the comics, a chunk of Carl’s head came clean off with the shot (including his eye). but of course, in real life that’s not survivable - so in the show, they explained that the bullet hit Carl’s eye socket and ricocheted off the bone so it didn’t go all the way through, but it did completely shatter the bone and thus destroyed his eyeball. in other words, Carl was *extremely* lucky 😭

Rick going full beast mode is my favourite thing ever !!! Then much one is like “Rick needs me, he’s out there and HE needs me” no hesitation about joining Rick fighting a hoard ❤

omg! you’re to this episode!!! we were all holding our breath with this one. and michonne giving carl a kiss before leaving to go ham on walkers with his father was just the icing. we were all emotionally drained and sweaty after watching this. just no words.

Great reaction I tear up every time when Rick tells Carl at the end how he hasn’t felt this feeling since the hospital it’s like Rick struggles to even describe the feeling because hope ceased to exist until just then.

I remember when this episode aired on the tv I had heard the police had been called to peoples homes because of all the screaming. This is one of the best episodes.

Your emotional reaction represents us so much. I think it's one of the most breathtaking episodes of the series. What made me fall in love with The Walking Dead is precisely this ability to move so many incredible characters who are aged from 7 to 70 years old in careful scripts, philosophy, social approach even in the apocalypse, not calling us fools, on the contrary, there is seriousness in the right measure, terror and a lot of drama. Moments of comic relief are rare, but very punctual. The photography is beautiful, the atmosphere is terrifying and exciting at the same time. Carl's eye, Michonne's sword, Rick's ignited axe, Daryl's flame spear, Gabriel's machete, Sasha and Abraham's machine gun and the pistol of that family man who is Glenn. What an episode.

from E08 to the end of season 6 is just the MASTERPIECE and golden of the walking dead.

This episode is when I finally accepted Gabriel. Just watching everyone step up and fight together is such an amazing thing. I have seen this episode over 15 times and it still gives me the feels.

Abraham’s best scene ever was this episode lol. There goes Daryl lighting my heart on fire. This was one of the best episodes for sure I wouldn’t say it’s the best nor my favourite but it’s definitely up there The energy in this episode is amazing towards the end I love that Rick going out there alone showed the people of Alexandria who he really was and made them want to fight alongside him. Bit of a rant about the Wolf guy. I highly wish Owen (apparently the Wolf guy’s name) lived and was able to reform himself He was shaping up to be interesting He was a villain but he was also human and I like the contrast with him and other villains People like the guys at Terminus and The Claimers all acted justified in their awful behaviour but this guy was just plain honest and even admits to being selfish (causing most of his people to be killed during their attack) Granted I thought Joe was pretty interesting as a character through his interactions with Daryl but Owen has such a human feel about him in the end Also when Morgan told his comrades if you keep choosing this life one of them answered with we didn’t choose I think that in itself is a pretty interesting thought for Owen He ended up saving Denise’s life instead of truly taking her hostage He could’ve let her die and ran Imo it proves Morgan was right about people changing Sometimes I think it takes the right circumstance but he did say you’re what I like about people to Denise. Also yeah Morgan didn’t do it for Alexandria when he saved the guy He did it because he believed he could change He believed he could be something better than he’d been Tbh that come on come on really got me That felt so human of him Like he seemed to genuinely care in that moment with those words and his expression I’m still kinda I wanna say aggravated but I know pissed is probably the better word for it that Carol killed him when he was clearly trying to save her even at the very very end he made himself a distraction to save Denise It’s much different from Gareth’s begging and hoping to get away and just never cross paths with Rick’s group again Gareth went out a coward Owen went out saving someone’s life from what was essentially the enemy’s side I really like it because it’s such a contrast in various villains and while we understand their world has changed people there’s still something human left in many of them and sometimes it does take a situation like that for it to come out Obviously him and his people at racking innocents at Alexandria wasn’t a good thing at all but that’s why Morgan thought he could change Just like with Eastman he believed there was something human still hiding in there that could be brought out Full Circle.

This is one of the best episodes of the series, the beggining of a new Alexandria, it's starts out tragic and ends with everyone coming together and the beggining of a change in Gabriel, if you think he's turned badass now, just wait. Love this episode

The things that Carol has had to do, WILL do, is chipping away at her. Carol is struggling; those seeds were planted back in season 5. Also, in hindsight, it’s good that Sam didn’t go with Gabe & Judith.

Such a great episode! From the grenade launcher blast at the beginning to Rick's breaking heart. Emotions getting yanked all over is draining. Then the triumph and exhaustion. Gabriel's epiphany was his redemption. He became a changed man in one day. Seeing Rick in beast mode is always a treat.

Scenes like this remind me why I watched show. The group coming together and supporting each other. Everyone was given a chance to shine, and the quick edits were brilliant.

Even Re-watching this episode was traumatic. Abraham’s smile after ending the walkers around Glenn get me everytime 😅

This is hands down one of the best episodes of The Walking Dead. The level of badassery, the music score and just the resilience of all the people in Alexandria. Just this one awesome battle that's like NOPE the dead ain't taking our home.

Father Gabriel is literally my favorite character on the show. Like his story? His character growth !?? He’s such a fucking badass and he only gets better

This episode was so amazing, especially since it was one of the best moments of the comics. The events play out the same but instead of Ron shooting Carl, Douglass (Comic Deana) was shooting off randomly while distracting the walkers away and accidentally shot Carl.

In the best moments on TwD, the score really shines. A lot of touching scores, especially the one in the beginning of season 7

Love this episode, absolutely epic, and what makes it even better is that the second Rick went outside, the residence saw him as their leader that needed help so, they all came together to clear the town. they all changed, and became what they needed to in order to work together and protect each other. I often wondered why Jessie would agree to let Sam stay with the group, instead of going with Gabriel to the church, when he was so scared of the monsters, and had already said "mom, mom, mom" when surrounded by walkers (No one told the kids shut the hell up when walking through a heard of walkers why covered in guts), that was her downfall, I do feel sorry for Rick having lost another love interest, but in this world, nothing is permanent. Thanks for reacting.

This episode blew my fucking mind back when I first watched it. When the wall got destroyed, I thought Alexandria was over and they'd have to move somewhere else. I never expected that they'd band together and literally kill the entire horde with just their weapons. After the farm and the prison, I expected Alexandria to be another place they'd lose, but they for the first time, they took it back. This episode felt like the first true victory against the dead.

Rewatching this episode with y'all was just 👌. I remember watching this episode CRYING of how happy/hyped I was. I'm so glad you guys understand what Ms. Look at the flowers is going through most reactors don't care or get it so it's good see reactors who get it and aren't really annoyed by it.

This might be my favorite episode of the show. To see everyone come together and be such great fighters, the changes in Gabriel (his line gave me chills), Eugene, the Alexandrians… it breaks the heart when it needs to and it makes you cheer in relief when you need to. This episode kind of embodies the whole show for me. I’m glad you picked up on Carol’s voice and her influence on Sam. Clearly situations with kids just do NOT end well with her. She’s such a dynamic character, I’ve always enjoyed the plot twist of how the Wolf actually did change. Nobody expects it, and you know that if it’s an odds game, Carol was likely to be right. But clearly, there’s always a possibility of it going Morgan’s way. Did Morgan save the Wolf for himself instead of the group? Or did he do it for the Wolf himself? Such intriguing questions. We know Carol’s actions are always out of selflessness, even if it is in a twisted way like her scaring Sam. Some people don’t enjoy the Morgan vs. Carol dynamic. I have always found it extremely interesting and enjoyable. It’s always interesting to see where these characters go on their philosophical journeys.

This is one of my favorite episodes! I love how Gabe finally gets it, & becomes a bad-ass, the fight for their home, Daryll going off with the RPG... So many great things that make this show, all in one episode! We lost a couple characters, though they were mostly people I didn't like anyway...lol. It reminded me of the battle at the prison but ramped up to 11. The rest of the season is crazy, & I can't wait to enjoy it all again, but with you two. My wife doesn't like shows like this, so I watch TWD with you. To be honest, you guys are probably more fun to watch with anyway. Lol... Catch ya next vid. 🤘😁👍

Carl survived 2 gun shots... Ron shot the gun sidewards so it got stuck in the eye and didn't go through his skull.. that's how he survived but lost his eye.. As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished.. the mercy/empathy carl showed to ron last episode bit him back in the ass

This is one of if not the best start to the second half of a season. The fight scene with everyone's individual shot is one of the best visuals.

If you didn’t know already, Carl lived because he got shot just outside his eye socket, and the bullet hit the bone which caused the bullet to deflect away.

Le début avec Daryl et le lance roquette, le duo incroyable de Glenn et Enid, les retrouvailles Glenn/Maggie, la tête de Michonne qui veut vite rejoindre Rick car elle a peur pour lui, toutes la villes qui se bat pour sauver Alexandria avec un montage épique qui fini par Rick !! Je pourrais en parler des heures tellement qu'il est fantastique !! Trop contente qu'il vous ai autant plus et trop hâte d'être au prochain épisode ! 🥰 But now "Welcome to the new world !"

Lol this episode damn near gave me a heart attack first time watching it. So damn stressful lol

Hershel's farm was the first home, that did not survive a walker horde attack. The prison was also home, that did not survive human attack. Now Alexandria has become the new home, but this time, it has survived both human and walker horde attacks! Non comic readers (like you guys) were so certain that the community would fall, just like usual, and i just love to see how the show subverted that preconceived notion by actually making the characters succeed in protecting their home. One of my all times fave. Eugene and Gabe leave their fear and cowardness behind and join the fight. And the other Alexandrians woke up and got to battle as well. ALWAYS get me chills.

FUN FACT: This is where the comics were originally planned to end. Rick looks hopeful after alexandria defeated the walkers claiming that the world could be theirs again and that they can survive. The next page is ricks face in the same expression but it's a statue and with each page it gets older and more cracked and we zoom out to see alexandria is overgrown and full of walkers. The alexandrians were able to thrive in the apocalypse, being advanced enough to build a statue of rick, but eventually it fell and the zombies won. This isn't the actual ending as no way out takes place in issues 79 to 84 and there's 193 issues of the comic. That's just a cool bit of trivia and thank god it didn't end here
