Man, this was a great recap of Daryl’s story, especially his growth as a man as it relates to Rick. But you really undersold Carol’s role in Daryl becoming the person/leader he is, which is a bummer. 😕

Darryl is the best thing that came out of tv TWD. Hands down. He deserves all of the praise and acclaim he has received. I'm so glad he is getting his own sequel and more storytelling. His story is excellent.

Haven't watched walking dead since a little after glenn's death so I was very surprised to see Negan and Maggie having a whole series together. Now that I've seen this I can watch the Daryl Dixon series.

I believe daryl is actually from florida, because there is a game for ps3 that came out around 2013 that takes place right when the apocalypse starts with daryl and in the game you find andreas parents who are in florida

I legit think Daryl was special forces look how he moves and how good he is at tracking he knew how to use military grade weapons efficiently like the RPG scene and he knows how to extract info throgh means ot torture and he's also a very good tactician look how he fared against the reapers more or less by himself and his backstory poor family abusive dad he left home and joined the military then linked up with merel after a dishonorable discharge

If Merle wasn’t handcuffed and left on the roof him and Daryl would’ve stolen all the supplies from the group

Fantastic recap, I always appreciate these. Norman Reedus sure made a new character beloved. His screen presence only grew with time. Like so many of us that were watching from the beginning, you can be nothing but happy for the guy. I stopped at season 8 but one day I’ll go back and finish it. I feel like I at least owe it to the characters.

I always hated it when I would set off on a *ROADTRIP* to Atlanta, then make a wrong turn on *I95* & end up at the *EIFFEL TOWER* 🤔😁

I wonder what if the Season 1 show runner didn’t get fired bc he made the walkers a bit faster. And when they brought variants back, they were “meh” maybe 2 seasons before TWD ended, they could’ve been more of a threat or real walkers learning basic functionality asides from climbing & running. Like basic speech or tactics

I have heard great things about this series already but I’m worried I stopped watching TWD S6 E15 after the manipulation & the way episodes were airing got on my nerves. I never went back. Then killing Carl & Rick left when I was thinking about going back so had no reason. Also AMC milking mediocre crap is nothing I want to support but I love Daryl

Everything you need to know is that the writers have disrespected the character and the fans. Dixon is a survivor. He's been through every kind of situation and is one of the last people standing. Now all of a sudden he's gullible, turning his back to people he doesn't know so they can knock him out, running into obvious traps, leaving weapons within reach of captive enemies, yelling or generally standing out in the open attracting walkers and homicidal maniacs, standing on slowly cracking rooftops like he's in a roadrunner cartoon, etc etc... If this were really his skill level, he'd have been one of the first dead in the apocalypse. Sad because the setup and the acting is amazing - writing and directing... not so much.

I think the AMC is doing a wonderful thing giving the walking dead a expanded universe but unfortunately the viewers aren’t there anymore. No one cares anymore which is sad and that’s partly because of how the walking dead finished. I loved the show but the last couple seasons fell flat due to budget and writing. There were so many comedic moments in the last season with the writing alone that I can’t trust these spin off shows. I felt like the hype for the Maggie and Neagan show was huge and now I haven’t heard anything about it

so far i'm not impressed with the 1st episode. too predictable. the 2 people who betray him take off and our found by these raiders. if they would have started telling them how a man killed 2 of theirs and they ran away, the old man would still be alive. then the nuns could have said they helped a wounded american and then he left. case closed. daryl also needs a haircut. i can tell you as a person who lives in the south, the heat is terrible. and staying clean would be extremely hard in the apocalypse. keeping your hair short is an easy fix for both.
