FYI. The opening to every episode shows you the locations in Westeros and Essos where the episode takes place. Kind of fun, when it clicks with you, because you can go "Oh shit! We're going to see what Dorne looks like in this episode!", etc.

Tyrion was telling different tales about Princess Myrcella to the Grand Maester, Little Finger, and Varys to see which tale made it back to the queen (whom he told them not to tell). This was to flush out which of them was the queen's spy. It turned out to be the Grand Maester.

There is NO better show to watch reactions for than Game of Thrones. It's one of the most well crafted stories ever written. There are seeds planted in season 1 that won't fully grow til season 4+... It's what draws you in. They want you to ask questions while following the story/characters so don't worry if you don't get the answers right away. I also love when you light up at the fantasy/magic elements. If you do I highly recommend the book series, as the show (while it does have many of these elements) omits a lot of plots/characters. Speaking of lighting up, love the background lights with the black.

Enjoy the journey. It's easy to get impatient because it's such a big world with so many characters being followed. It takes time to learn what you want to learn (or have characters learn what you want them to learn).

You yearn for answers that have not been revealed.... be patient. Don't confuse yourself looking for answers, the most important thing to be clear about is: who is who, who they are with, where they are going and who is against whom. if you didn't notice, the opening map of every episode shows you where things are happening... and changes every episode.

I’m becoming more and more convinced that no one in her inner circle has taken her aside and explained point blank that: you are not meant to have immediate explanations and answers to everything; that the show (and books) do not spoon feed its audience; and mystery boxes are the name of the game until the storyteller decides it’s time to unveil what lies within. Only those of us who had read the books well before this show came out had any real idea what was going on half the time, and all we would do is help others by explaining the world/lore, occasionally remind them of character names and places, but then wouldn’t reveal anything else because that would spoil things.

"Agh, I just want to know!" is a common feeling for most of many seasons of Game of Thrones. Though which questions you want answered will change over time, so you do get doses of satisfaction along the way despite there always being *something* you don't know yet.

There are White Walkers, sometimes referred to as the Others, and then there are wights. White Walkers are intelligent beings, we see them in the first episode, with a sword made of ice. Wights are animated corpses, ie., zombies.

Stef we love your reactions because it’s fun watching someone trying to figure it out like we all did but a suggestion for you, there are plenty of episode explanation videos on RU-vid of every episode. They are short, really helpful and they don’t spoil future episodes they just go over the episode explaining every scene. It will give you a much better understanding of what is going on.

Even though Joffrey is a sadistic psychopath, I am not sure that Littlefinger is not more vile and evil. If you remember Arya asked Yoren how he could sleep, knowing what he had seen and Yoren told the story about his brother being murdered and how it became a ritual for him to repeat the murders name every night since it helped him sleep. Arya has now adopted that ritual. Tyrion is becoming a master at playing The Game.

Tyrion is learning to play the Game, while at the same time Cersei is losing control. The interesting thing about Tyrion's plan to expose Cersei's spy was how Varys and Littlefinger reacted. Varys questioned what he was told while Littlefinger was hesitant until he was told what he would gain.

15:25 I mean, Tyrion used her only daughter as a political pawn to broker an alliance, while also playing games at court to sniff out the snitch Pycelle. Clever Tyrion, but if it would be Tywin or someone else who isn't "fan's favorite", the rage or Cersei, as a mother who essentially can't protect her child from the same fate she suffered (being used to secure marriage with a crown), would be understandable.

In the book when the Night's Watch recruits were under attack, Arya cries out Winterfell! and Hot Pie shouts his own name. When this was brought up to Arya when she was captured she said she had only cried out Go to hell! On the long march back, there were no bathroom breaks for the prisoners. Arya has no choice but to squat on the road in front of everyone. Hot Pie's mouth dropped. He had no clue she was a girl.

Don't worry about alliances. Cersei loves Jaime and her kids. Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger) loves power and will deal with anyone as long as they further his ambitions. The Hound hates fire, and his brother, the Mountain, and has tender feelings for Sansa. Sansa hates Joffery, and maybe herself a little, but is more scared than anything. Renley Barratheon wants the Iron Throne, Stannis Barratheon wants the Iron Throne, Robb Stark wants to avenge his father, save his sisters, and become King in the North. The Night's Watch is uneasy that something bad is coming. The new character, Brienne, is arguably the only truly loyal and faithful person in this whole crazy universe. Having questions is good, but the answers will come. This series will make you angry enough to break your TV, and break your heart enough to leave you desolate for days. Just when you think you know what will happen next, the rug is pulled out from under you. Buckle up! It's going to get bumpy!
