I always use the window key lol. Window then type in to search for me is actually faster than dragging the cursor all the way to the search bar and type in
Got this yesterday. Feels great, looks great. Only problem is that the larger keys make rattling sound, because they have costar stabs. I fixed this issue by putting soundproofing foam under spacebar and other big keys, and then put a bit of bandaid on the stab wires, so it doesnt make that rattling noise, when hitting the keycap's holes for the stabs. : )
Dang.. first, there's that giant CTRL key so replacing it with your fave or pref keycaps won't easily be possible and for its price... it's using a costar stabs?? :(((
This is my biggest problem with a lot of the mechanical keyboards I started using. I went back to an old Dell membrane because every single one I tried, RK84, RK100, Drop CTRL, and the Keychron V2, that regular sized CTRL key is a total dealbreaker. My left hand was killing me after a while and I write a lot every day
The windows key is extremely useful, probably one on the most useful ones. There are dozens of shortcuts that use the windows key. As a keyboard aficionado, you should probably get more familiar with that key...
Exactly, but more so, if gaming at work (which I never do, hehe) u can drop out to look like u working. I’m faxt we are we this all the time to make the client Info in doc private. It’s not about hiding what we’re doing? Rather respect of sensitive info. A big deal now-days with medical work from home Otherwise, ya, we all know what it’s big use will be. Mac has similar but idk about sound
Im so mad that I bought the dark grey version of this keyboard with a full white setup and a few months later comes out this light grey/white edition. My luck --'
Opposite here. I built my X99-M WS as it didn’t come in white & I didn’t come In white but like the white peripherals since it blends w/ my Mac regular stuff. I got the black Strix 1080-Ti b4 I saw the white. No Strix iTX Z599-I in white either
I have this keyboard and the matching mouse, using it with my all-white asus based pc build, the keyboard is great, as expected, and syncs perfectly in armory crate, so all my lighting matches. mine has the brown switches, very happy with it.
I bought this for my gaming needs. I had a Logitech Pro, which I use now for work and vid editing. And yes, I use the Windows key to hit search. That only gets annoying when I play DOTA2 or LOL. Thanks for the vid. I'm using the kb with no rgb lol.
Is the MX Cherry done or just not on white yet? I’m used to MX Cherry Browns but how do U feel the difference is? Does this have otherwise same features like USB pass through for my Strix wireless receiver ?
Hi! can you use this with a Macbook? though not all keys are going to work but does it have the option to edit the lighting on the keyboard through mac?
Great review. The large CTRL key is a huge deal breaker for me and I use windows hotkeys a lot so that smaller windows key would make me go crazy because I'd keep hitting the ctrl key... also not a fan of the concept of shadow key, would be cool if they made that changeable in software.
Absolutely! I come from a long time Max user where this key (Win) is an everyday essential since finger access for shortcut combo is far more productive then moving mouse all over to click. I use it in Windows as well now for so much including Office Suite. It’s been here since the early days Of IBM PS2 mechanical we been used to. When u do learn the value of hot keys, macro shortcuts (remember them). U won’t go back. It’s muscle memory like learning a game controller. (:
I have an Asus rug Zephyrus G 14 I got it on Facebook marketplace for $800 with and ryzen 9 5900hs 16 gig ram 3060 It’s a beast for $800 I literally messaged everybody that was selling one and talked him down to 800 until they gave in if you don’t like to negotiate as much you could probably get one for about 1000
does the rgb lighting have offline mode as i dont want rainbow puke when offline and yep i use windows function key on winodws os all the time. i use static colours as its destracting otherwise to me and as much as i love my razer products my blackwidows and mt viper ultimate do not have offline on board memory to stop colour profiles.
keyboard ariving today. hope it meets expectations. looking forward to a keyboard that doesnt lose my profile when in sleep mode and not online. its been a long hunt for a razer ultimate replacement that is not razer. they dodnt even have offline mode on their software anymore. just the mouse to find replacement but at least i can turn off lights on mouse. yes you can on blackwidow but makes keys imposible to see for my old eyes, hence the reason i want rgb. and by rgb i mean one colour for keys and one for the fps keys, not flashing, no scrolling no rainbow puke.
