Warmachine was excited. She was getting another upgrade. No rituals for stealing skills this time, no. This time they had manufactured a gene pack just for her. The most desirable traits they had been able to pull from their prisoners compiled into a one off injection that would rewrite her body, stronger. A chill ran down her spine and she shivered in excitement. The increased toughness and strength were in the forefront of her mind. "All the better to beat you with.", she chuckled to herself. The fights that she started sometimes were going to get more interesting. Deathless? She went still for a moment, contemplating. Only able to be killed by destroying the brain. Like Peshet but without the weird blood obsession. Shaking off the thoughts she focused back on the moment as the EMH bot came into the room. Practically thrumming with anticipation, Warmachine eagerly lay down, and welcomed the dark emptiness of anesthesia. Once Warmachine was down and the gene pack implanted, Peshet gathered everyone together in a meeting. "First I want to say well done everyone for keeping this quiet. Not even the clones, I'm looking at you Somemachine," Peshet smiled at the light cursing that came from the side of the room, "let slip our plan for strengthening the colony. The dead calm gene we snuck into the pack will hopefully assist with stopping some of the ridiculous increase in violence we would get from..." Peshet paused thinking, "Honestly we're not sure how many this is going to make." She said a little quieter than before gazing at the floor. Snapping her eyes up she resumed in her previous tone, "We need to move out now. Gather the pack animals, supplies, food, and whatever you want for recreation. Caravan up and we roll out as soon as possible." She turned and headed off, abruptly ending the meeting. Peshet had seen something in the ghouls. Not intelligence per se, but something. They remembered a lot more than she gave them credit for; even with the in depth knowledge she possessed of them. They were trained. That was for certain, but she had never thought to use them remotely or to send or leave them on their own with a task to complete. This would be a good test on multiple fronts. She smiled as she thought of the new knowledge and data this would create. Before the hour was out from the meeting the caravan was off and camping just outside the theorized radius of the obelisk. Peshet looked towards the settlement. Her back to the flames of the bonfire they had built, she watched and waited. Warmachine was groggy. Bleary eyed and disoriented she tried to sit up. Immediately she felt the difference in her body. She felt... dense. In a way she couldn't quantify. She flexed her hands and forearms. Her biceps and shoulders. She curled her toes, stretched, and flexed her legs. Marveling in the strength and solidity of her newly upgraded body. She wasn't as excited as she expected to be though. Puzzling. She didn't seem to be all that upset about that fact either. Blinking owlishly she gazed about the room and her eyes fell on Peshet in the doorway looking at her. Peshet walked into the room and said, "Now, don't get mad." Then laughed quietly to herself. "We did a thing." Warmachine stared at Peshet and was perfectly still. Peshet waited. Warmachine's face remained impassive as she asked, "Why am I not furious with you right now? What did you put in that gene pack?" Peshet grinned and said, "Dead. Calm." Peshet grinned wider as Warmachine continued to stare unmoving. "I should kill you. You know that right?" Warmachine stated. Peshet said, "Yeah. You and an entire army! Come see what we've done!" Peshet practically dragged Warmachine out of the hospital bed and into the prison. Stumbling alongside the persistent Preshet, Warmachine had one hand on her head trying to keep the world from spinning. She didn't fare well as she lost the contents of her stomach, maybe not entirely trying to miss, onto Peshets arm and body while she was dragging her along. "Oh, you nasty..." Peshet said as she snatched her hand away and shook it to get the fluid off. She grabbed Warmachine again, but slowed down a step or two. As they came through the door into the prison Warmachine's eyes went wide with realization. Turning on Peshet she said, "You planned all of this. Didn't you." Not a question. "Yes." The simple reply. "I should be pissed. I should be raging. I should be beating the absolute fuck out of you. I can't even say fuck like I want to any more." Neither woman moved. Peshet staring out across the room. "That being said," Warmachine continued, "seeing that I'm 'dead calm' now. I understand what you have created here. Not a lot of emotions in that group. Strong. Capable. Versatile. Deadly. Expendable." She stated these facts calmly while surveying the room. Peshet was looking at Warmachine outright now and she asked, "How many should we turn into ghouls?" For a moment Warmachine didn't move. Then she simply smiled a tiny smile.

The reason the Unnatural Healing didn't work on the organ decay is that it will only remove one thing at a time - if you had done it immediately after the inspection, when it's still saying it'll happen later, it'll be gone immediately, but let it actually happen and you have to replace the organs individually. Also, have you been ignoring any of the mysterious object quests, the ones that give the unnatural corpse (and other things?) If those have been showing up after void provocations, then that's your void provocation result and is why some seem to do nothing. You should get, and deal with, the last entity before you finish things off, I think. Need to get all the Machines up and running as well, after all, so you can do both at once.

"Warshit" is also a good combination of both of their names, "dumb machine" as a bonus

After what happened with SomeMachine earlier, she knew that it was not a good idea to actually go stand in the blood rain, but boy, was she tempted. So very tempted to go outside and dance in the blood. It was ... alluring somehow. Although that might just be the vampire side of her. Or her bloodlust talking. Who knew? She sighed as someone tapped her on the shoulder and turned around, only to find Burc standing in front of her, holding a hemogen pack out to her. He looked at her, then outside at the completely red desert sand. He gave the pack to her and said: "I thought you might need one." Then he looked outside again, and back at her. Opened his mouth ... and then closed it again. And then he just smiled at her, shrugged and left. Peshet looked at the hemogen pack in her hand. Somehow, she felt all warm and fuzzy inside. What a weird feeling to have, especially for her. Peshet knew that her son didn't always understand her. But acceptance ... yes, that was what he gave her. Always. And it was a great feeling indeed.

About your excess warmachines, if you don't want them, you can disable feeding them. They will get into a regenerative coma due to starvation, but that's fine. If you need them eventually, you just need to feed them and give some psychite to "thaw" them out of their long coma. Until then, they are essentially in storage. If you decide to use them to farm metalhorrors, malnutrition is gonna be a good thing anyway since it will make them hungrier faster, giving more opportunities for your metalhorror contaminated pawn to also contaminate them.

Yes, surrounding your base with flesh walls will spawn fleshbeasts. Honestly in my own game it's been mostly a blessing. They tend to be very spread out and fleshbeasts aren't very threatening when you only fight a few at a time. They provide a constent supply of shooting experience. Just be careful about bulkfreaks because those spawn quite a few enemies at once.

I think they might go out realising they are having a bit of a bad day.

With enough of them converted to Yunners and spread about, you could easily counteract the mood penalty from eating twisted flesh (-10), which should make feeding them a bit easier. If you had their ranges covering each other, you might be able to counteract the -77 High Psychic Drone without having to feed them all mind-numb serum, too!

38:00 enable multiple tile settlements, setup another tile with machine clones only, and do a second ending type on the second tile, maybe royal ascent, seems a suitable way to start the clone wars.

a genius and terrifying episode, you probably will find more ways to create pure chaos, my first thought was making a base in the flesh caves, there's no enemies, you can slowly wall in the bulb freak, and you could theoretically have several of them on the map, meaning ever expanding isolated colonies, perfect for, a couple new recruits if you catch my drift, and it feels like you would benefit from tunneler (both the robot and the precept), it's literally a perfect solution to food problems, fungal growths all over the HUGE cavern would mean ideal conditions for untouchable factories full of unkillable machines you can release at will to cause mayhem if needed. just a thought.

Mass duplicating your best pawn 30 times while also making sure they are comatose is how I envision the SCP foundation using anomalies after doing all of their unethical research.

- I'd suggest trying to specialise the Machines. So some you could give Awful Social to, and one you give Great Social to. - What happens if you kill a pawn with deathless by doing things like over-harvesting their genes? If they don't die that could be easily exploited. - Me hoping you won't kill any of them (because of that time you said you won't kill colonists) and you'll just release any of them you don't plan to keep... and a bunch of them immediately get turned into ghouls and Yunnerz.

For mortars, its manipulation, shooting skill and sight that counts for the mortar miss radius multiplier calculations. i.e. bionic arms and eyes help improve your mortar crew

When a revenant escapes, try making 2-3 different teams, searching different areas instead of having one giant team searching only one area. Flares make it very handy to see and stun them so the risk is very low for the revenant to get a beat on your people

I never really used Neurosis Pulse for the work speed, I used it for the lowered mental break threshold--it was helpful for forcing inhumanization.

For the clone ghouls, it would be funny to give them mirrors of the clone colonists' names. LuvShit, RageShit, LaputanShit, etc.

Why have one fleshmass nucleus, when you can have 2? Warmachine has a genetic (psychite) dependency. After 30 days without feeding those, they enter a coma that lasts until they die an extra 30 days later or are fed the right drug. Plenty of time to round them all up Fleshmass spawns can, in my experience, spawn up to 4(iirc) tiles away, through walls if necessary. Trispikes and fleshbulbs can launch their spawns through closed doors, but only if there's a tile the spawn can stad on (IE no barricades//chunks/etc) One War machine should be something along the likes of Colonel Crap or Private Poop (War -> army -> Colonel/private)

The fleshwall thing is amusing but in reality you have control of a zerg base, that can spawn turrets and zerglings and completely block off huge parts of the map with no effort from you.
