Boltgun is here baby, pick it up here - bit.ly/42oG8L4 #boltgun #gaming #warhammer Game is 'Boltgun' / indeimaus / indeimaus / indeimaus / discord outro song - • flippy 19XX - Akihabar...
As far as more conversion goes Ashes 2063 is the best I've played Metro but doom works really well. For more straight up wads Ozonia is just about perfect in terms of level length and difficulty for me.
darktide with all his flaws - good game. Battlesector is a excellent game for fans of.. GREAT ANGEL SANGUINIUS and etc etc. Inquisitor is a good game. Total wars are cool even with madness of Sega Overlords. They are better in general than most west releases lol.
The reason this game is so hectic is because you killed the Chaos Terminator right at the start. Without anyone to terminate the chaos, it just keeps getting larger, silly.
"I saw a lot of channels covering those games and I wonder what can I possibly add to this?" -Your content and your style. I mean, we're here for it, for the amazing content and the silly jokes. Indei here proclaiming his love for tyranids in a game set after Space Marine, the sequel of which features tyranids as its antagonist... Now I want a video series on these games
Love a boomer shooter with actual artistry in the level design. My problem with the genre is that a lot of the boomer shooters try to invoke the era without elevating it
Honestly wish tyranids were in more 40k games (definitely not bias) and with 10th edition giving tyranids a massive range refresh it would make so much sense well atleast space marine 2 has them
[You find a boltgun as though it's a holy grail.] Honestly, the way they appear as standard-issue astartes wargear you wouldn't think much of them, but "the holy bolter" is actually quite revered and you can see illustrations of techno-weirdos in robes anointing them with sacred oils and shit in the old space marine Codex I used to own. It might just be a lubricant or something, but there's an obvious ritual air to the act because they have various tokens and scriptures around them as they do it.
this one in particular is called out for being a relic bolter too, so it's likely thousands of years old and has seen innumerable enemies slain in the name of the Emperor. Reclaiming this relic for his chapter would be celebrated and revered not dissimilar to finding the Holy Grail.
I mean it's basically a gun that shoots .50 cal sized rounds that are each rocket propelled, armor piercing, and explode after piercing. And it's full auto. It might be standard issue but it's ridiculously powerful.
Played it last night for a few hours and its literally one of the best boomer shooters i've played in years. The weapons feel impactful as hell, and the soundtrack is amazing
@@raidermaxx2324 FPS games that follow in the steps of the classic Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood and other such games. Basically games made in the style of shooters that were largely coming out before Half-Life completely changed the genre.
This is without competition, the best looking boomer shooter to date (at least among the ones that stick to the aesthetic) It's hard to even call it "retro", because it just looks so incredible.
Regarding more potential boomer shooters may I suggest Nightmare Reaper. Not only is it one of the finest boomer shooters I have ever played but there's a chance, that like me, you will get a double barrel shotgun with projectile modifier perk. That perk changes the buckshot projectiles into something else. I personally got cannon ball. So my double barrel can fire 12 or 24 cannon balls per pull of the trigger. It's gosh darn carnage given the cannon balls are physics enabled. Truly a super shotgun that even Doomslayer would respect.
While I'd love to see more of Boltgun if you're into it, after your Tyrannid loyalty reveal you know you have to play Space Marine 2 when it comes out, right?
Indei, have you found the TAUNT button yet? There's so many damn lines! The guy even shouts out his name... can't remember it at the moment, but its there!
Tyranids are just the sickest 40k faction, they remind me of the zerg from starcraft and xenomorphs. Also I recommend Total chaos, it's a survival horror doom 2 mod
Funnily the zerg ARE the Tyranids. Have you noticed the similarities between starcraft and 40k? The humans are space Marines the zerg are Tyranids and the protoss are eldar.
Boltgun is probably the closest we'll see to how a Space Marine actually moves in a game. Canonically, they're FAST. They can run so fast they look like a blur to a normal person. They can actually dodge bullets. As well, their armor doesn't decrease their agility. They look like tanks on legs, but they move like coked up ninjas.
Is it just me? When he is using the more powerful super bolter (whatever it is) - the gun recoils on the screen massively, which by itself is fine. But do you also notice the vertical position of the falling shells also jumps up and down with the recoil as they fall out of the gun too?
This game has one of the best shotguns ive ever used in a video game. The range is awesome. And as a novice Warhammer fan i think the Tyranids are really really cool in the lore, but i really like the Space Marines because big dudes in big armor are cool
2:48 I really do like the tyranids. But as someone that loved soulstorm dark eldar, sisters of battle, chaos space marines and necrons all hold a special place in my heart. Shit, now I feel like I need to replay soulstorm again, something so satisfying about seeing your leader get fully geared out throughout the campaign and become a one man army.
you cant do that to me, you scared the crap out of me when you played the first boss theme of loop hero, when that guy shows up in loop hero and the music suddenly changes from calm to crazy it was terrifying.
they were so good that Blizzard kept them after the 40k project they were working on fell apart and changed them juuuuuust enough to avoid IP lawyers and called them Zerg...the 2nd best space-ant/Cthulian horror blend!
I mean, between Vermintide 2 (which I think Fat Shark may have said they're going to do VT3 next? idr) and Total War Warhammer games where they fucking rule to play, they've gotten quite a bit of love. Which is good, good yesss...
The thing is, I've watched a lot of other RU-vidrs play shooters like Doom Eternal and such, hell I've even seen Markiplier's full playthrough, but time after time I'll come back to your channel. Nothing beats the music montages, the subtle voice-overs, and the vicious jabs
This might be one of the best shooter in a while. It's more a joke then anything else and it's glorious. Purge the heretics. Glory to the Emperor. We 40k fans eating good this year. Space marine 2 also dropping this year
It's not codex compliant to just send one marine to fight demons. HOWEVER I just imagine this particular veteran was so angry, that they had to give him something to do. Something like "hey if you're so angry, go stop an entire demon invasion".
In the intro, it is stated that a "handful" of you are sent to fight Chaos but upon landing which doesn't go as planned, only the protagonist survives the landing
@@pechudin9086 Penitents or not, it's fairly common for Space Marines to either just deploy just one squad or even have solo missions by default. To give you an idea, when they're serious about it, they barely even just send 100 marines in total for a planet as each Chapter is just 1,000 marines strong or so
Big space marine fan, big ultramarine fan (though I don't admit it to my friends) but Tyranids just totally hook me. I love monsters, I love Alien, I love dinosaurs, so of course I love Tyranids. Totally with you there, brother.
I'd say this was something that was always destined to be made but _DOOM_ was already a 40K game if you squinted at it. It wouldn't be surprising at all if it turned out that one influenced the other or both influenced each other mutually. Doomguy is literally a space marine from Mars who fights demons in the Warp i.e Hell.
I'm not that into shooters, so I'll happily just watch this vid and get on with my life. Edit: That said, gorgeous game. Love the retro style. Also, it's nice to see a modern game without abusive mechanics (lootboxes, battle pass, gotcha, e.t.c) Stoked for that Neverhood video!
I need rat voices, but for demons "hey bob, what is that weird guy in a costume doing here?" "be careful mark, he's got a nailgun and he's covered in blood"
I wouldn't really classify ULTRAKILL as a boomershooter honestly. I mean it's so insane it temporarily turned Jerma into an Amish person at the first boss. I don't even know what to call it.
Tyranids are fucking awesome, Zergs used to be my favorite race until they became slaves and I found out that if a single hive ship of Tyranids ever reach the universe of starcraft , there would be no more a starcraft universe
I played a lot of Boomers. A lot of them have 5 difficulty levels like Doom. For the first playthrough I always choose next to the hardest one. Since Boltgun has only 4 options I chose EXSTERMINATUS. And I ENCOURAGE you to choose it. It's way more fun that way.
This game looks beautiful… (`∇´) The gun animations and visuals are just so charming (also Tyranids are cool but they aren’t cooler than space marines 😡)
Insanely overpriced would $40-$70. 20 bucks isn't that bad considering it's the same price of other retro shooters like Dusk, Amid Evil, or Ultrakill, and all of those I just mentioned have Overwhelmingly positive steam reviews.
@@krishollow You are literally talking with yourself. Nobody is agreeing with you. 20 bucks is more then appropriate for 10 to 12 hours of an excellent game.
I was not expecting the Adam Smasher smashing Rebecca reference and now I am sad D: That said I really need to get around to building my Tyranid army and painting them like The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Goes 1 month without a big Indeimaus video, gets 2 videos in one week? I’m so excited!!! I have a co-worker who’s real into Warhammer. I’ve not seen much of it myself, but I’m gonna have to get this game cause I love Doom and it seems like a good way to start.
