ATEEZ KILLING VOICE!! You're not gonna regret Edit: if I could add, also watch their Fever medley performance, it's consist of 3 songs from their Fever album series which is Good Lil' Boy + The Leaders + To The Beat, idk how to explain since I'm no expert but it's an energetic and hype song and performance and I think you gonna love it too. You could search it from their 2022 The Fellowship concert or from the 2023 KCON stage. You could listen to each song itself if you want to, I recommend their Fever Medley(also bcs it's one of my fav performance) and Killing Voice performance so you could hear a snippet of some of their discography and also see their energetic and amazing live performances. Bcs as many Atinys and even non-fans acknowledged, Ateez live just hits different🔥 I wonder if you are interested in any of their cover stages as well, bcs they have many legendary stages and have won several times from it
i think the more you dive in to ateez, the more you think how versatile they are, and every song is catchy, when i tell you i have almost their whole discography in my playlists i am not lying, it's just that good
In my opinion, you should react to these songs : Be with you (b-side) Halazia (MV) Guerilla (MV) Turbulence (MV) Horizon (b-side) This world (b-side) As for the performance, you should really watch the Wonderland Kingdom performance. It's Insane. They are known for their powerful performance.
You should definitely do the "ATEEZ KILLING VOICE"! Lots of snippets from different songs, from different points of their career, all live, and you can very clearly hear how their voices sound doing the main vocal part, but also ad-libs, raps, harmonies, etc. AND you get to see their dynamic and energy even while they are just standing ☺️ ¡Super fun! 🥳
I feel like if you want to see more of their personalities in their music videos you should check out The Real (Heung Version), Crazy Form and Work (their newest song), and just as a song/video in general you should look at Geurilla, and Halazia
Ateez is so dangerous🔥🔥 they could make non K-pop fans addicted of them just by watching one of their immaculate live stage performances or mvs. The passion and the energy won't lie ❤
Guerrilla, Halazia and Work are a MUST! Quintessential ATEEZ songs. Fireworks and Thanxx might also interest you. But otherwise, it's the bsides! They have really crazy cool bsides worth checking out, especially from a prod stand point, like Dune, Wake Up, This World, Take Me Home, The Ring, We Know, Matz (a unit song), Shaboom, Blind, Arriba, Silver Light, Outlaw, Emergency, Sector 1, New World, Django. The list keeps going...
I'm on of those NonK-pop Ateez fans everyone in the comments is talking about. I'm a film composition and music production masters student who fell in LOVE with their production and voices. Ateez is lightning in a bottle. They're all uniquely talented, but as you said, the thing that puts them head and shoulders over the rest is how many different vocal types, tones, and textures they get between the eight of them. Several have similar ranges, but their tonal quality and colors are completely distinct from one another. It gives their production team a HUGE box of crayons to work with. If you get a chance to hear the stripped instrumental tracks, they're actually super minimalist. A lot of the "instrumentation" is done in vocals and adlibs. Then, of course, there's the 10,000 percussion tracks for them to dance to...🤣 I'm also a huge fan of the trap style stuff. DEFINITELY check out the three albums in The World, especially The world: Outlaw. HUGE Electronic vibe and cinematic AF.
They sometimes sing with a live band like Thank u here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rZidG-yfzps.htmlsi=YMFB6tErNqq3kMtB Maybe you would like to listen to these versions as well. They also had the opportunity to film a live portfolio with killing voice and did fantastic 😍
OMG! I'm so glad you're listening to more Ateez! Something to know about Ateez is the fact that their albums run in groups/ series and those series have a distinct sound to them. You seem to be vibing the most to songs from the World series ( Bouncy, Guerrilla) which has a dark, intense sound to it. My reccomendations would be Cyberpunk, Dune, Outlaw and Halazia. Sadly only Halazia has an MV but it's an amazing MV
Ateez is my ult group and my favorite thing is that there is a song for everyone 😂 they might not get you with every single song but you’ll find one that makes you a fan! ❤❤
Precisely this! They experiment a lot with their sound, and none of their title tracks really sound like each other at all. Compare Wave to Fireworks to Guerilla to Work. All VASTLY different, you would have no idea it’s all the same group!
It was one of my first fav songs also. But I think it comes down to associations. A lot of music industry professionals have a tepid reaction to Answer because it uses specific electronic sounds that "age" the song, it's very 2010s sound and feels cringy to some who know pop music well. I LOVE it for it bc for me it sounds timeless bc of that, it gives me "finale of my favorite anime when I was a teen" vibe (maybe bc of the Kingdom stage). But it is the one that has to grow on some people!
If he listens to it more, he may change his mind. I follow a reactor who is ranking ATEEZ's entire discography as he listens to each song. He's nearing the end and now every time he ranks a new song, when he gets to Answer, he says, "How did I ever rank Answer so low?!?" (At the end of their discography, he's going to drop a revised ranking.)
@@KaterynaM_UA It's just so weird to me. I know it's probably a personal preference thing but it almost seem impossible to not like Answer. It's just such a big, grand soundscape. I actually think it would have been great for a movie soundtrack. That's how grand and majestic I think it is. To each his own I guess.
As someone who doesn’t really listen to much pop music, I enjoy Answer, but I also think it’s one of their more “stereotypical k-pop sound” songs and my personal taste is definitely more out of the box type stuff (Hala Hala was the song that got me hooked on Ateez- I tend to like darker concepts)
Guerilla. Halazia. The real. Rocky. Django. Hala Hala. Matz. Take me home. Cyberpunk. And they just released some a new mini album - I’d suggest Work and Shaboom.
Answering your collab answer: yeah, they do sometimes, although it's not very common (it tends to be more common on solo songs, so if a member is releasing a solo album, he might have features from other artists from other groups). If you like collaborations, you might like Kingdom. It's a show where a bunch of boy bands (iKon, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and more) get together, and they have to do a bunch of performances with a certain goal, such as remixing one of their songs. There's a segment where they make teams with idols from several groups and release new songs, so you might like that, and the performances are amazing. Also, I recommend (if you want to, of course) checking out their discography. Their songs are all produced by a set of producers, so they achieve a cohesive sound, and their discography is easily one of the best in K-pop. You could ask 10 fans, and they'll all give you different favorite albums because they're all so good. My personal favorite is EP2: Outlaw.
If you like the whole hard-hitting side of ATEEZ, I recommend checking out Halazia, Guerrilla, and Fireworks. If you like those songs, you'll love EP1: Movement, which is all the hard-hitting side of Ateez only. It's a masterclass in production. EP2: Movement is a cyberpunk-themed album which is my personal favorite and a heavy recommendation.
I would definitely recommend Guerilla if you want one with a music video. They just performed at Coachella so you could check out their live performance of Guerilla too and you can hear the fanchants it's super cool. For a bside I would recommend Wake Up. You should check out their Klling Voice too, it was super fun and provided a sample of some of their music.
I dunno what to recommend coz i like all their song 😂 In fact, i'm not a fan of kpop till i find ateez, after ateez i can enjoy some other kpop songs even tho i'm not stanning them 😅 If you love ballad : Turbulence, empty box, Light, be with you, mist, not too late, days, star1117 If you love the dark song Halazia, guerilla, black cat nero, Dune, wake up (actually whole Outlaw album is kinda dark vibe 😅) If you love the warm happy song Eternal sunshine,Wave,Be my lover,The letter,White love If you want party Arriba, firework, the real, horizon, the leader, to the beat, desire, blind, shaboom If you want to listen to each member project solo/unit: MatZ, ITs you, youth, everything by jongho, untitled by mingi, tunnel by mingi, a walker by hongjoong, reborn rich ost by jongho, lovely runner ost-a day by jongho Enjoy🎉
The butterfly mostly symbolizes the butterfly effect in time traveling and universe traveling in Kpop. Ateez story line has to do with universe traveling so the butterfly fits right in. Btw ateez are in their storyline pirates fighting against scientists who think emotions are the enemy.
It's hard to recommend a song to feature ATEEZ's sound, because their sound is diverse. I mean, what do you like? Hip hop, gospel, rock, opera, reggaeton, ballads... When they came out with their latest album a couple of weeks ago, we were all guessing what genre we thought it would be, because it could be damn near anything. Someone let slip what it was, and we were still surprised when we heard it. I'll recommend: Guerrilla The Real HALAZIA WORK
My Favorite ATEEZ songs: Halazia, Wonderland, Guerilla, Turbulence, Promise, Bouncy, Deja Vu, Treasure, Pirate King, Cyberpunk, Black Cat Nero, Silverlight. and many more....
4:41 literally screamed "YES" when I heard you say you'd like to see a bts feature/bts x ateez collab they're both my ults and I feel like a collab from these two groups would literally be powerful enough to set the world on fire
If you want a really hard hitting song with a music video then Halazia, Guerilla, or Fireworks. If you’re down to check out an album or b-sides then their album The World Ep 2: Outlaw is by far one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. The production on it is out of this world and the album is so cohesive sonically. It’s the album that Bouncy is from.
Also, they actually did release a new album since the last time you reacted to them (May 30, 2024). It’s called Golden Hour and the music video is called Work. They also had a Japanese release in like, March with the Music video Not Okay, which you probably haven’t reacted to.
Say my name is the queen that got me into ATEEZ and honestly their discog has been pretty immaculate from debut til now. They're just Different. And Good. I think you'll realllllly love Guerilla and Halazia! KQ wasn't a tiny tiny company but they were definitely much smaller than the big 4, so ATEEZ has had a more difficult rise than most groups (similar to BTS), but they do bring the entire package, the full production and have some of the best producers/writers (EDEN, Leez, Ollounder to name a few) backing them. I wish they would collab more and do more solo work as well! Hongjoong (leader, main rapper) recently featured on a song with Chungha who is an incredible performer.
ATEEZ is known as a great group for live performances, a good choice if you want to attend a concert. They are passionate about performing and they work hard.
SO happy that people starting to get interested in ATEEZ..They deserve your time, they are so good on live...Pls react to there Coachella live performance
Here I go, with an interesting info: When they released this mv, "Say my Name", they were very criticized. Many K-pop critics said they were just pretty faces, but no talented. Then, the next they released was the mv "Hala Hala", where they were all covered by masks (except for their eyes). They shut up many mouths. I hope you can react to that mv!
If you want to listen something interesting from Ateez, I will recommend their b sides: The leaders To the beat Cyberpunk Shaboom Outlaw Wake up Precious Horizon Take me home
Guerrilla & Halazia really stand out to me. Since you commented that you like their harder stuff, Guerrilla is top. Halazia is in a style (and storyline, lol) all its own.
If you want a fun music video, then you definitely need to watch their newest one Work. I am loving that song and the video is just crazy fun. Their Killing Voice is a great performance that really shows their talent and a sample of a bunch of different songs.
For recommendations I suggest to watch their episode on "Killing Voice" and pick songs that peak your curiosity, they show the different "flavors" they have 🤭
I'd recommend the song Guerilla, but also this specific video called Killing Voice for Dingo. It's 25 minutes or something and it's basically a compilation of parts of almost all their singles, COMPLETELY live vocals, all in 1 go. It's PHENOMENAL
Omg can't wait for you to discover more from Ateez especially their bsides. You really should check out their bsides. Their title tracks are awesome but their bsides are amazing. 😊
yes, Kpop bands do sometimes collab. ex: Suga and Woosung of the rose did so on Snooze. EunKwang (BToB), Jongho (ATEEZ), and Seungmin (Stray Kids) did Love Poem on the Kingdom show. RM collab with Balming Tiger did Sexy Nukim and many others, J Hope has done several, one with R Cole did On the Street and one with Crush which UI believe was Crush Hour. or Rush Hour.
There are honestly so many gems in ateez's discography, as an atiny (name of the fandom) i would love it if you got into and started listening to all their albums in order (either oldest to newest or newest to oldest)
Omgggg I'm so happy you did this!! Have you watched videos on your own? If not please please .. Please... Guerilla The real Hala hala Pirate King (their debut song) I'm going to their concert in Seattle in July. Can't wait 🎉🎉 Also, Ateez worked with stray kids and btob on Kingdom Legendary war. Highly recommend all three performances.
Ateez has an episode of Dingo’s killing voice. It will give you a sample of their discography and live vocals (spoiler: they sound even better live) even if they don’t let you dance on Killing Voice it’s still really obvious how talented Ateez are. Please react to it!
If you want to check out an album then there's a lot to choose from since every album is different. I suggest World ep: movement World ep: outlaw (it's a must) World ep: fin-will Their newest album, Golden hour part 1
The good thing about Ateez is that they have a song for everyone. Even if you prefer a certain sound over the next, Ateez genuinely has no bad songs🙂↕️ no-skip discography kings🏴☠️
Awesome reaction! Thank you for checking out Ateez and other comments have left really great recommendations. For the harder style you would definitely love their the world: outlaw ep, the world ep 1
Welcome to the madness! ❤ The Killing Voice should definitely be on your list if you appreciate their vocals. Most things from The World series tend to be on the harder side. A lot of anthems.
HongJoong featured on Chungha’s Eenie Meanie. Hoshi has featured on an Epik High recently. Woosung featured with AugustD. I’m sure there’s more, but that what I can think of atm
I’m so glad you’re getting into ateez and enjoying it! They deserve so much more recognition ❤ Definitely listen to wonderland symphony no.9! Jongho (the main vocalist) hits a B5.
Hala Hala, Guerilla, Halazia, plus any b-track from The World: Movement and The World: Outlaw EPs would probably be tracks that you'd like. I'd also look for fan cams from last year's tour--it was staged and performed like a rock opera, intensity and high energy.
Out of their songs, I'd definitely recommend Halazia, Guerilla, THANXX, MATZ, Rocky (Boxer vers), Cyberpunk, To the Beat, and WORK. Precious, Sirens, and The Leaders are also amazing ❤
