The concert was live indeed. The band was mo-capped and the audience could interact. They would show streamers in the back and even did some vocal shoutouts to some of the bigger ones. Pentakill has always felt much more personal. Like it was made more for love for the fans and less so for the money (like K/DA). The guy singing in conqueror is a Viego skin btw :). He's trying to conquer in this storyline as well :P
13:00 that scream wasnt his voice. That was actually pretty clever way of using Cassiopia's death voiceline from the game. She is like a Medusa-like character.
The concert one was basicly a "fight" between Viego and Pentakill, it was just so epic. I still remember the hype around it and from time to time I rewatch the concert, but ofcourse it's nothing like the first time experience. Anyways I highly recommend watching the teasers for the concert, because they're pretty good. Ohh and BTW the first video should be representing pentakill making their tour through Runeterra.
If you want to check the girls voice she is in a couple but Gatherin Storm and Stormrazor are the ones to check. She has a PHENOMENAL voice! I think you will really really like the acoustic version of Lightbringer, has a very empowering somber feel to it.
Considering Pentakill isn't a real band but just a throw away concept for some skins, the production is insane. They've made 3 albums and have performed live. Again, not a real band, just a throw away idea to promote skins. Riot does too much sometimes, and I love it.
Much like K/DA, pentakill is a wide collaboration of artists. The main vocalist being Jørn Lande, from the band masterplan with Noora Louhimo, doing the songs with female vocals. However theres a few other vocal appearances like the original dragonforce singer on two songs. They even randomly had tommy lee (motley cru) do some drumming on the 2nd album. I think pentakill gave them the proof of concept and skills to go on to do k/da.
The girl do sings in other songs. The last concert was done live and the champions were acted out by real people as you saw it. It is dope in my opinion, especially if you're into metal and such
Karthus(the singer character) was the first champion I ever played and mained. Always has a place in my heart even though he's not so great in mid lane anymore.
as you probably know by now the concert at 20:38 was live and at 31:35 it was just the singer using the little break to highlight some creators (Necrit in this case) who were allowed to co-stream the event
That live concert was in 2017, of which the pentakill segment was a small part. The video calls it the League Music Festival or something. There were two orchestras there.
It's funny that you asked about the woman on the keyboard being a vocalist because that character is actually mute. They bring in another female character later on for vocals.
It's actually the 3rd album that was on that animated concert. I think the main reason they made the music video & 2nd album was to add Kayle to the band.
I think the reason Jorn (Karthus's vocalist) sounded so different in the live, is 1. his voice might've been fatigued, which happens, and 2. he sounded to me like he was struggling to be heard in the mix and strained his voice a bit to compensate. The recording was mixed poorly in any case.
So for “Mortal Reminder” my head cannon is that the devil (teemo the little evil menace that gets kicked at the end) had cursed the metal head yordles to a hell of cute folksy lives and Karthas and pentakill came to free them.
Mostly all of their songs reference League of Legends items and stuff from the game, and the song Deathfire Grasp is like only League related lyrics :)
I love the story of Mortal Reminder so much, it's Varus's old lore, he was a guardian of a temple that held a bow that used to be a "demon"(I stood strong, I was honor bound, I stand defiant, I stand ever proud, I am the chosen, I am the guardian, the guardian) One day his temple and town got raided by Noxus(As the masses came, Like a shadow through this land, They laid siege to all we ever had) He was torn between protecting the temple and his town, plus he couldn't get to the town even if he tried, there were too many Noxians, eventually he decided to taken the "demonic" bow, by the time he got to town it was too late(All that I had taken away, My home is gone, and my love ones slain, For every sleep claims a piece of me, Every waking moment, every single dream)(All that I had laid to the waste, My spirit broken and just memories remain, For every day claims a piece of me, Every waking hour claims my inner peace, My inner peace) The bow corrupted him(Blinded by hate brought by the fall, As I swear death to all, You will feel my vengeance)(Now I seek the blood of those, Who claimed the innocent, I will hunt the enemy to the last, I will banish and rejoice, The final breath of foes, You will see what you have made, You will see what I have finally become) It's such a tragic tale, unfortunately it was replaced by a far less interesting one...
They tied the 'demonic bow' into the wider lore by making it a Darkin weapon, but the overarching story beats of Varus' lore haven't changed that much. Now it's two archers, and the 'corruption' just comes with a name and a story of his own. I personally think that the literal inner conflict of Kai and Valmar trying to fight against Varus is very interesting. 3 people bound into one being in a moment of desperation, now 2 of them are trying to keep the 3rd more powerful personality from destroying their home along with their enemies.
@@YayReacts Kayle is the girl you didn't know what she was doing standing back there doing nothing. In fact, she sings 2 songs that are personally one of my favorites; Gathering Storm and Tear of the Goddess
It's a shame you don't react to the whole concert, as no one reacts to it anyway, pretending to totally celebrate Pentakill after seeing "Mortal Reminder". The concert is so well done and also tells a story and therefore deserves to be reacted to fully and not just half-heartedly. The fact that the concert is so long is no excuse for me not to react to it. It really is allowed to make a long reaction.
@@YayReacts I'm not just looking at the negative it's just frustrating how all the Reation youbbers are ignoring this masterpiece with so much potential for reaction content. As I said, just because the concert is up is no reason not to react to it because it's so much more than a concert. And if you watch the whole video you can hear the female voice singing several times. Besides, your question of why they used a different voice would have been answered. Because Viego is not the singer of Pentakill. The one from Pentakill is Karthus and in the scene you watched, Viego could be seen and not Karthus. There is also no reason why you can't make an additional video in which you react to the whole video. It doesn't really bother me because I've already seen the video several times and was also there for the live stream. I just think it's sad that people leave things out for no reason.
@@amnesius3976 I’m sorry you are feeling frustrated. A few of the other comments actually gave me songs that she sings so I have added them to my list of recommendations and may react to them. Thank you for the clarification between Viego and Karthus. I have a lot of other content I’m recording, editing and putting out besides LoL. My weekly schedule is in my community tab if you ever get curious. I started LoL for fun until I have the time to react to Arcane. I had only expected these reactions to be no longer than 5-10 minutes. I'm stretching myself thin thinking viewers would appreciate the fact that I at least listened to more than just Mortal Reminder.
@@Tanyositlopai Okay, if you think it makes me a snob if I find it sad that people choose not to react something so great because I assume that many who didn't react to it would find it great because they found the other content great, then that's your problem because you don't understand me. And if she still chooses not to react to it, even though I tried to convince her to do it anyway, then that's not my problem either, it's her problem.
