@@currentlygaming577 I was making a joke about Rarran’s main criticism of Yugioh being that he couldnt do well without looking up what was good and how to build it.
@@wren5413Yes, because you should do 5 hours of research just to learn how to play a card game before actually playing. As an active YuGiOh player, Master Duel is not new player or returning player friendly. It's made for those who already know competitive play
@@chihuahua0117 if he died there, he couldn't die old. He has paradox immortality due to prophecy. This can also mean that Yasuos death vision is guaranteed to happen too, for the same reason.
@@yargolocus4853 I know his prophecy, I just wasn't expecting him to casually tank something like that since technically he isn't a god or something. It makes sense given the circumstances, just wasn't expecting it
@@yargolocus4853 that's a massive assumption. Olaf could just be a super stud. Riven beats multiple dudes 3x her size, it's not like we're seeing 'normal' people. Olaf thinks he's fated to die old, and that means you assume he's conceptually incapable of dying before his time and not just Gotrek v2, or Druss. The death seeker isn't an uncommon trope, and any who is uncommonly bad ass becomes Olaf, except League has a static lore problem, so he never gets his ending. To name a few, some still ongoing. Szeth, Maquin, literally every Space Marine main character, most of the guardsmen for that matter, some viking saga characters(duh) and just the general idea of Berserkers with regards to going out covered in guts, characters like Túrin Turambar are another spin on this, fated to unquiet deaths they don't deserve. Gotrek Gurnisson is the most obvious modern literary preceeding parallel though. Dwarves are more or less fantasy vikings, and a slayer is a dwarf whose personal failure, percieved or otherwise, calls them to seek redemption through their own death in battle. Gotrek is the worst slayer, utterly incapable of dying even to what is in more ways than one Aatrox father. Stout, red haired, bearded, mohawk rocking, only bling as armour wearing mfer so good at killing anything he sets his sights on that he can't complete his actual goal, losing a fight to the death. Actually a lot of this lore shit makes sense now that I think about it, because some of League's most notable writers came to it from Black Library. But yeah, big ramble. Point being, Olaf isn't guaranteed unkillable. Most of these arcs end with the MC who is trying to die or failing to die when he really should already be, dying. It's just that LoL doesn't have significantly advancing lore and hence Olaf doesn't seem likely to ever reach his end point.
I never played League, but I love Legends of Runeterra and Arcane and some LoR cinematics are also amazing! Also the art in LoR is beautiful as is the lore expansion and interaction between characters.
(pointing at kindred) "Who's this?" That's the personification of *death* in the league of legends universe. Makes Tryndamere fighting them off *very* impressive in-lore
"They knew what they were doing," there's over 100 champions but somehow the same handful are in all their cinematics. Yea they know what they're doing
While most of Runeterra lore is heavily leaning on the "gray and grey morality" trope, Thresh is one of those few characters that are literally just purely and unashamedly evil. He was a sadist in life, and a terribly powerful sadist in undeath.
Really nice video, their are quite some more cinematics. (though not all of them are classified as cinematics I think). the league of legends championship trailer are really worth watching by the way.
I've watched like half a dozen creators going through the league cinematics by now, but this is the first time I've seen anyone watch the one from 2009 when they still had the "clash of fates" tagline. That's pretty cool
I really liked your reaction, when Rengar sliced his blade between Katarina's legs.... and I did exactly the same: had to rewind that moment and laughed, that she was lucky to have no balls! HAHAHAHA!
they are nothing compared to the new ones but sadly she mostly watched those cartoon-like lore videos but missed out on all but the first 2 actual cinematics like the Ekko and Warriors, which is by far the best one.
I'm surprised chat made you watch Nafiri and Briar video but then did not show you the one for K'sante. His is so visually stunning and the OST is a banger!
lil comment to clarify that the "volibears" in the calls are actualy ursine shapeshifters, forgot the actual name but those are present in runeterra, there are some who are bears, and some others, i think it also has a connection to udyr's spirit stances but can't tell for sure, kinda forgot about udyr's lore. volibear is like the size of a damn mountain so yeah, not him.
I figure you'd might want to watch some of the Star Guardian stuff in more detail, its pretty cool and you missed Light and Shadow and the vlogs which were both really high quality. -Also not to give you anxiety about it, but league content would be really interesting.-
hey voxy i don't mean to be rude but that was more trailers then the actual cinematics still loved it just want to give you a heads up the cinematics are amazing lol
there is a whole series about league characters not sure if made by Riot or fans or if it ever got translated from i think it was chinese or japanese maybe korean to english didn't understand what they were saying remember an episode when Riven on the run from noxus hid inside Gayzreals place (i mean Ezreal) he finds her and agrees to hide her if she works for him ... as a waitress wearing a bunny suit then she gets hit on by Twisted Fate and just as she has had enough of it and is about to smack TF the door swings open hits her and knocks her down .There are more ep. this is the one i remember was a long time since i saw it that now i don't remember where i saw them.
Necrit lore explaination of cinematics. The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is DeathIncarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. You can see Kindred in the Fires of thePast destroying Aatrox, Facing Tryndamere, andShooting a Fatal Arrow at Old Man Yasuo in thehead.
You should see the Legends of Runeterra cinematics - they flesh out a lot of the greater League universe. (Legends of Runeterra is also what MTG would have been had it been designed today and hadn't been locked in to drawing mana in its design)
My favorite one will always be Reunion, but New Dawn and Awaken are close second. Wild Magic, You Really Got Me and Warriors were pretty dope too. oh, and League of Legends Champion Remixes. They are short fanmade music videos made with in-game voice lines.
I would argue that Necrit knowing SO much probably opened him up to all those new possibilities purely because he knows a lot of the backstory with people.
When you asked if they made characters and then retired them, my instant thought was "no, but they fucking should lmao." Probably will have to start doing that / create new ranked gamemodes with limited champions / allow each player more bans at some point, because the amount of champions is getting quite absurd. I took a break for 2-3 years and I there was like 25 new champions I had no clue what they did once I returned, imagine coming in as a completely new player and having to learn everything from scratch.
Technically I only clicked this to see if you had a borderlands filter or just really clean lip liner but the last couple cinematics look so nice, they could be like a whole movie if there was dialogue (the no dialogue made it a bit weird imo)
I just started the video and I love the sudden realization "WAIT, ARCANE IS ALSO LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (Starts naming Arcane characters on her list of League Of Legends characters she knows)"
still here the last one that was watched is even better with lore of the characters. kindred was present in every scene whether it was lamb, wolf, or both. Kindred is death itself in the league universe and hunts down people to send their spirit to the other side. if they willingly accept their fate lamb executes them peacefully with an arrow like the one at the end of yasuo's scene. if they try to run from death wolf hunts them down and gruesomely kills them. in the final scene with tryndamere theres 2 soldiers about to kill him but he has the power to defy death for a period of time which is why both lamb and wolf were attacking him bc kindred themselves are unsure how tryndamere will pass on. tryndamere tho fights off death long enough for ashe to come to the rescue and save him by killing the 2 soldiers with the crystal arrows that fly past lamb so he gets to live another day
