This is a treat, I've gotten to know these guy's from Radio Classics, Sirius. They are very funny, and original I think they were the cue for the Sixties Rural TV show's. The voices are the same, so it's really fun to see faces.

By my math, Lum was 41 and Abner was 38 when this was filmed. They look and sound much older.

The store window scene got me laughing till I choked! Great writers and actors. This is my 3rd Lum and Abner movie. I sure hope there is a dozen more available without cost!

Loved Alan Mowbray since I first saw him in "My Darling Clementine" with Henry Fonda.

I just got this on dvd.i primarily liked it.i was disappointed towards the end.where he gets amnesia.i thought it was strained,weak,and dull.it went astray from the whole story point.the two guys in Washington dc giving warm philosophical commin sense to the people of the capital amd winning them over with their homespun ways.the whole amnesia thing threw it off for me.the movie i felt ran out of steam and turned it unto screwball farce when it should not have been like that.should havve wrapped it up with them going home after doing more good for others.
