Hey Elise. I hope you don't let these partly very boundary overstepping comments get to you that much. It feels like some people are taking the mere fact that they are subscribed to your channel as an excuse to read too much into the things happening in your private life right now. It worries me, since they assume you're being in a bad relationship, while behaving pretty damn toxic themselves in these comments 🥴 Being sympathetic is one thing, but straight up telling you to break up with your partner because of some weird and unfounded suspicions/allegations, is so bad. I know what it’s like to have people telling you how you should handle your relationship when not knowing the entirety of it. You do what you feel is best knowing your story. I am sorry but I have say if something is bad, if a relationship has red flags , and we as followers have opinions, I survived Domestic Abuse not only physical but mental , a man should stand for his woman and protect her , not letting anybody to take advantage of her not even from his own family , you cannot just see something that it doesn’t seems right and not say a thing , in the end is her decision to stay in the relationship but at least we told her what she may not see , because love blind us

I am kind of in the middle here: 1) Let‘s reflect on ourselves here, not just Elise. Quite few of us seem very much involved here emotionally, I feel it myself. 2) We do not know very much about the circumstances OR what exactly happend and why it happend. That‘s a fact not to be discussed away. 3) There are red flags. And a community might function as a collective intelligence. 4) Elise works in public space and „working“ with her community’s comments is part of her job. She‘ll manage, even if it might mean some discomfort. 5) None of us is responsible for her - we are responsible for ourselves. Comment or not, pro or anti her boyfriend or whatever. 6) It‘s easy to project ones own history onto other people. But It‘s easier to see patterns from the outside as well. So 1:1 here.

Coming from the perspective of someone who spent a lot of money and labor remodeling my own home… to be honest, I was surprised that you were having such a large part in remodeling a home owned and financed by someone else. It’s such a stressful and financially challenging endeavor… there is no way I would have let others make decisions, even with the people I love and hold dear. Even in the best of situations, there are conflicts... and the reality for the one paying the bills is that it comes down to simple economics. My advice (not that you’re asking) is to focus on self-care and getting yourself situated in your own home, and taking the rest slowly.

Better to wait and buy a home on one’s own, then depend on others. That house did not need all of that renovation that was being done. It was fine to move in and then decide what the future held and then start doing renovations.

I love the quote. It did make me chuckle because it’s so true. I have a daughter who is a Taurus, and I’m a Taurus rising. That being said, sometimes Taurus can have a tendency to stay in situations that aren’t the best for them because they don’t like and sometimes fear change, because they crave security so badly. Though her boyfriend’s words were wise, I’m hoping, (and this pure speculation because none of us know what has occurred here……that her decision to stay is her decision only, and that she’s not in any way being manipulated into staying because she feels like she has no where else to go at the moment. ❤

one of the main reasons i left my sons father was his parents were so aweful, especially the stepmom and he was not at a point to set boundaries and just let me suffer and let her be abusive to me and involved in our day to day. I couldn’t take it. She still does everything she can to be abusive to me 12 years later. It’s nuts, never sgain.

Can I say I agree , my ex-husband's parents were into monopolizing renters even sent the youngest son to collect 500$ month from the eldest who was an invalid and living in hospital for nearly 20yrs . Of course I wasn't allowed to have a say or any influence on any issue . No matter how much the inheritance spending a lifetime as a pawn in conflict just isn't my style .

The problem with the cottage isn't the heat, its having no water at all. Its either a 2 or 3 season cottage. They turn the water off in the whole area there. So it's not livable in the winter. Maybe for a few days if she brings big things of water with her. I do agree, I would get a electric fireplace heater for living area. It would keep it really warm and look cozy. Even summer nights she could turn it on without the heat just for ambiance. Take care Elise. Hugs.

I know that likely everyone commenting, myself included, doesn’t know you or your situation personally but there are a lot of wise words being shared. Here’s mine. You bring so much joy to this world & deserve someone who consistently appreciates and respects you. The surprise trip sounds a lot like “love bombing”. For example, my ex would use grand gestures like expensive gifts to make up real problems he brought into our relationship. The real problems never really got fixed because he never put genuine and consistent effort into showing up as a better partner. My current partner is nothing like my ex. He shows up with his full heart, listens intently and I have never once felt unsafe with him. It sounds like you’ve been seeing some red flags and I think you should listen to your intuition.

The thing I don’t understand WHY DID her boyfriend not help her mother, sister and brother move her out at 2 am. Where was the boyfriend when all of this was going on and then she is living at his place. Why did she have to go in the middle of the night with her contents of the house in such a hurry. Something does not sound right. Where was the boyfriend at 2 am, if she lives with him. Did he not know she was moving at 2 am with her mother, sister and brother and bringing things to his place? That is why people are sceptical about her story. The boyfriend does not help her ESCAPE as she noted in the middle of the night and NOW he is taking her to ITALY. She is going on about having to sell her own wardrobe to get money she needs and could do something illegal, then says she is joking. Another thing is, if you are moving with your boyfriend into that new home, it had been completely renovated, maybe not to her decorating likes, but it was completely renovated and her and her boyfriend could have moved in, lived together for a while and then renovated step my step. Now the house is in a shambles all taken apart and unfinished. Something does not sit right from the beginning on the family plan of this new home.

I think it’s good here to remember what you have instead of what you lost. You have a business, you have a tiny house and obviously you still have a roof over your head and a boyfriend who cares. I don’t like to watch click bait videos and I don’t like RU-vidrs who I have followed for years and who I am emotionally invested in, post videos that provide breadcrumbs. I feel like that has happened. Maybe it would have been better to wait until everything was sorted out before posting anything because we have all been hanging on and I have been worried. If you are in the public eye you have a responsibility to those who you have engaged with to think about how it affects them. I don’t mean to sound harsh, I just feel a bit stressed by this content. I’m so glad to see your video today. You have been on my mind this week wondering how you are. You are a strong woman and you will be fine. I understand about the creative flow. The first time I didn’t make any jewelry, any crafts or did any crocheting for about two years. That lasted two years and then it came back strong. Too many thing’s to do. Now I’m cutting it back. If the cottage were mine, and here's some unsolicited advice, I'd get a camp toilet for the back hall and move the daybed into the room with the wood burner. For winter only! I would not be slowly moving my things into my boyfriends place while things are trying to be repaired between you. My opinion is not asked for but because Ive lived through alot as a woman( just consider us all Aunties) I have a little advice: Trips are wonderful! Travel,see more whenever you can. Never lose your independant ,natural self. Keep your cottage. You worked so hard. A mood board is so perfect. I do think it may be time to look for your own next home. To make your own. To chill in, watch movies etc. And meet up ,spend some nights at your bf's place. But keep your own until things are sure. Concentrate on your business too in your own space. If things ever go wrong you would not be stuck in his space. Many of us know all to well the ups and downs. Just a piece of advice you can take or leave . Just be safe.

Support is one thing but he obviously talked you into your last situation which did not end well. Take it slow and don't forget that you need to pay attention to yourself and your feelings. If something doesn't feel right or works out it's for a reason. You live the life you want for you not us. Have faith you will overcome any obstacles in life. You have the tools to get ahead and make your future. In the house if it doesn't feel right at the moment stay away until your ready to go back. If it's not meant to be there's others out there. Think that there is something better out there for you and if you and your boyfriend continue together in the future it's up to the two of you to make it happen together and no one else. @@tartariadreaming I am not sure what you mean by that comment, but I think her emotional state id from the fact that she no longer has the abandoned house to fix up and live in. She is still with her boyfriend and appears to be getting over her sadness at the kids of the abandoned house. There must have been a problem somehow with her boyfriend"s parents as to why she no longer is a part of the house.

I feel like a lot of us knew this was going to happen with the house. I'm so sorry you had to go through it BUT it is a huge life lesson for you to have learned, that not all people have your best interests at heart. One day you will realise that you felt the negative energy in that venture. I saw in just about every video you made, the opposition in your visions for the house. You are an amazing person, stick to your visions and one day your house will call to you and it will have so much more potential and such great energy. So wonderful to see the cottage and you together again. Seems to be your place of peace, healing and nurturing for yourself. Have a wonderful time on your BIG surprise! Don't think of anything while you are gone and just enjoy the moment. You will regroup and move forward after your short sabbatical. You still have everything you had before the drama and will continue forward. You will find a beautiful little place to live. When you feel "Pushed" and having to rush and hurry, then that is when you know to either , slow things down, or totally remove them. Be Blessed!
