Hey everyone and welcome back to Zeepkist! Today we're going to be challenging the dev to some of the adventure races! Unfortunately for us this is the developer of a soapbox racing game which means he's absolutely insane at it!

"Fiii-ets" hehe, love hearing people try to pronounce Dutch ^^ Obligatory lesson: Its Dutch for bicycle and if we do some DutchEnglish magic then the best way for you to pronounce it would be more like "feats" Keep up the vids on this, fun game & i cant wait to see the crazy tracks available a month from now!

@@THESLlCK Same, being half English and Half Dutch, having spent 9 years in Holland 4.5 in school, 0.5 in Hospitals, and 4 in H3ll. (Curium) They should have just called him Bike38.

@@THESLlCK Wellllllll, sorta, but not really, breaking apart the "i" & "e" creates a different word, "fiii-ets" (English pronunciation) is what kan said when he said the guys name, "feats" (English pronunciation) is like 95% there, but with English spelling so it should be clear what sound goes between the "f" and the "ts" :P "fiets" (Dutch pronunciation) is pretty much the same as "feats" (English pronunciation) wich probably lead to your response, but the thing to keep in mind is the pause he introduced & said pronunciations, a Dutch "i" sounds like a English "e", an English "a" sounds like a Dutch "e", etc etc.

I think the dev is actually an ex-TrackMania player, he just knows a lot of stuff to make this game to be somewhat like 'what if TrackMania was just soapbox racing?' and he just plants shortcuts ON PURPOSE. Also, just to point out that massive props to those people who created the TM Xchange esque site for this game, that was actually a really good idea. I also imagine if someone is going to like recreate all of TMNF's campaign tracks in this game.

Yannic was such a cool guest to have! Would love to see him around again, you should put his racing skills to the test in a Scrap Mechanic race sometime. Maybe a Scrapbox race 😋

I love when a dev actually plays with fans, esp when theyre that engaging. Shining example to all devs. Kudos man. Might get the game just to show my appreciation of that, even tho ill likely never get to play along side em myself

For the AFK, you could stop it if there is no input change from the user for something like 10 seconds, and it would only hurt the hads-off challenges where you need to let the vehicle go, and add a skip button after 15 seconds after the timer ends, just in case anti-AFK-kick is used by someone, with at least 2 or 3 users needing to vote to skip, for the skip to happen, and if the votes are equally for and against, you still skip.

a better solution is that if the player AFK goes over the time that 3rd place holds on the board then it ends. If there is no 3rd place on the board then it ends for them once everyone finishes the run they're on whether that be crossing finish line or by crashing

As he said though, it doesn’t change anything. You can make people be able to finish their lap or just give them an extra minute, and the latter just straight up is better

Immediately after you go through the first helicopter you can see the finish line just to the left of the track and you can veer over to the left and go through it within like a few seconds

You should play Little Big Planet with Cosmo or maybe your gf. Its a fun multiplayer building game, and the story modes for 1 and 2 are awesome, although 3 was kinda bad, because the og developers did not make it. But it is a fun game, and I'd love to see you build something cool from it, and learn the physics of the game. It is a Playstation only game btw. I do highly recommend it as it was what started me on the path of building and engineering.

7:09 What Yannic could do, is allow people to finish the current lap, but only while their lap time is within 1.5x the validation time. If the track was validated with 1m flat finish time, then they could keep racing until their lap time exceeded 1m 30s, or they crashed or reset. This would suck for Kosmo's 10 minute track though... could potentially finish the round, and be stuck waiting another 15 minutes for the podium.

You should ask the dev to make a split car adventure mode, you controle the steering or one side of the car and your friend controles the other, like the other side of steering or braking. Something like that

a little bit before 6:00 i heard them talking about trackmania, so shortly after when i saw him take the jump at an almost 90% angle, i expected him to bugslide. guess i get confuzzled sometimes.

For the post round edge cases, you could just set it so if the round is over and their current lap time exceeds their best, then it ends their run because they have already failed to post a new time. If they haven't posted a lap time, then it could be if it exceeds the longest posted lap time for the current race.

You should ask the devs to add a special event on the games 1 year anniversary where people can send models of stuff and a idea of ehat it does attached to it because you can have parts the people make instead of all by the devs

IMO there should be less RNG in the game and actual drag resistance. It makes the game feel more real.
