every food depending on what it is can look repulsive from a foreign perspective but make no mistake besides all the cakes in this.. most of the stuff is actually very good. square sausage on a morning roll with a potato scone is prime lunch for ALOT of teenagers and tradesmen. the stovies one tho.. thats just wikipidia for you.. trying to inticse you in with an absolutely horrendous picture

We're all still friends from the run-in and this was like 8 years ago now. Hindsight says that combining 2 comfort foods does just create another comfort food, but hey we were probably still slightly drunk from the night before. In my 2 years of "living in Scotland experience" as an English outsider though, I feel qualified to tell every other outsider that most Scottish food is really good and is the exact sort of food you start craving after being there for any period of time. Especially Cullen Skink - If ever there was a food to make you feel better about the 393 days of rain a year in Scotland, it is that.

@@bicks4436 I think it's a fun name, it sounds like a pirate dish or something, and of course you primarily find it in coastal towns in Scotland since it contains fish, so it fits the vibe. The fish doesn't have any of that sea taste, so the soup is just really nice; imagine cream soup of McDonald's Fillet'O'Fish.

But the point is that it turns out the majority of British food that looks particuarly bad is Scottish. So by shitting on British food you're kind of unfairly shitting on the English (not to say that our food is great but it's not quite as bad a the Scottish).
