So what's the deal with Vexmor in Warcry?

For anyone curious, these are the two lists I've run with Vexmor so far: Slaves to Darkness - 3-0 at Tower Games Store Championship Varanguard with Daemonforged Blade Vexmor Lascivyr 6 Marauders with flails 930 Points, I blessed vex and varanguard for +1 Attack every game. Beasts of Chaos - 3-1 at the A New Moon Rises tournament Bloodkine with Bullgor Greataxe Slaughterpriest with Bloodbathed Axe Vexmor 6 Gors with pair of Gor blades 940 points, blessed vex and bloodkine for +1A each game.

Vexmor had a hidden weakness: if you don't already own him he will require a second mortgage to buy.

Since we don’t play with blessings, I’m thinking of Vex as a discounted area control piece. I’ve subbed him into my list for things like Lord of Plagues. I bought the Underworlds set but don’t love the sculpt and so am going to make a proxy out of a Lord of Plagues with full plate armor and a visored helm with a claw arm bit from the chaos spawn set

Vex in syb felt strong, I would do LoP, slake, Vex, Vashtiss, 3 homonc, and a painbringer for 105. bless up str on slakeslash and damage on vex. Honestly, it feels very competitive and dangerous in the right meta or mission pack.

Is there any merit to just not playing with the optional divine blessings rules so this kind of thing is kept more in check? I feel like the intention of divine blessings was to allow people to buff their underperforming pet units but in practice they mainly get used to do some very broken things.

Ah yas can't say that chaos doesn't have the toys other factions have when they have the fomoroid and now these guys to supplement EVERY list. Horns are a bespoke and are the best faction competitively. No others come close that isn't ranged nonsense
