It’s so weird, I’ve been trying to recruit to my guild for days and no one bites… I have 97 best perf avg for paraes so it’s not because I’m “bad”.. I just think everyone is joining mega guilds because then they do not have to raid at specific times
Hit Level 40 -> Check if you are melee or ranged dps -> if melee, then go to Character Selection and pick ranged -> Repeat leveling and maybe you find a Raidspot
Or get a guild in an mmo, or be a valuable Player or be a good melee ( as melees are perfectly viable as casters where perfectly viable in a melee dominated p1)
STV leveling basically goes to lvl 50, wouldn't be surprised if they add more blood moon vendor items at lvl 50, I'm guessing the blood moon thing will be the only pvp event next phase still. And hopefully they focus on adding actual new content.
@@ZadenWoW the same question works in the other direction. Why wouldn’t you? If you genuinely enjoy doing the event( I know it rare but some people do) there is no reason not to farm the mount. If you are doing it just to get gear I understand but there isn’t resilience gear in classic so there is only so much they can so
I played phase 1 a lot, but never did the raid. I got 7x lvl 25 alts. I got demotivated by the chats in game asking for X and Y requirements & I've just sort of asked myself after phase 1 if I should bother again. It's seasonal, so my progress will get wiped eventually. And I've realized that I don't really care for raids or gearing at the level cap. I have 0 friends playing (and none ever did play), I'm sure I'd do raids if I had others wanting me to join along. But for now what I actually enjoy is the leveling. Though I will say, seeing the crap you have to do for some of these new runes (and even the old ones) are making me not want to play. I hated that Metamorphosis was locked behind a raid at first, and that you couldn't realistically get it before the level cap. This seems to be the case for so many of the cool new runes I have seen. You literally need to either be a streamer & get carried to get the runes unless you're at the level cap yourself. I wanted the runes WHILE leveling & not at the level cap. I might sound super negative, lazy or whatever here; but if I had the choice to either 1. Have the runes soloable at level 25 so I could use them to level to the next cap (40) 2. Keep it like it is now Then I'd pick option 1. It'd be a lot more fun for me. I'd be leveling while finding the runes and then being able to use them right away. For example; Mind spike for priest seems to require level 30 at the first step, but then at the end you need to kill some busted lvl 40 elite? Why?? I know you can group for it, I just don't have the motivation to bother. Why lock it behind a 40 elite to begin with? I understand that it might be really fun for some people who have friends playing, but I don't. Whenever I voice my opinions on this, I always get hate or rude replies. Like "Why play an mmo if you don't like to group for stuff". I don't know what to say other than that I kind of just prefer Singleplayer but with other real people running around the world. If everything in WoW could be soloed (but maybe less rewards or something to incentivize grouping) then that'd make a better game for me personally. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy doing dungeons sometimes while leveling and at cap to gear up. What I don't enjoy is the time and effort it takes to get a group going and to prepare for a raid. & Yes I actually kind of enjoyed the LFG tool in WOTLK, because it made grouping easier and there was less shit like "reserved" or people only looking for X dps/healer/tank classes. Maybe I am the only one thinking this way. And maybe it's just because I never really had a friend group playing WoW. But for now, I enjoy watching others play more than I enjoy playing it myself.
BIS groups? People just want to do the raid in a timely manner. If you aren’t getting into runs due to your spec change or find a community that will accept you. If not then wow just isn’t the game for you lol

Phase 2 doesnt quite have that magic that Phase 1 did... Grinding the hell out of SM gets old quickly. Glad theyre adding some exp boosts atleast. Honestly they should include PVP tabards and give us specific rep for completeing events and downing raid bosses. They should also beef up dungeon loot moreso for RFD, Ulduman and SM. Some interesting questlines too for trinkets and jewelry?
@@robertp457 xp. Farming duns non stop for xp is the opposite of what an rpg is. Its about the journey, not the endpoint. Doing duns for loot is great, doing them 20+ times for xp is not.
Why? It barely changed from phase 1. Unless we are talking about the economy and such. But that doesn’t matter because you can literally do the raid 0 consumables 0 profession items
The upgrades from raids are not that good pvp is a mess the world pvp event is back to being a laggy unplayable POS it’s very alt unfriendly with rep grinds etc… the raid is fun but the class balancing is not it
I myself am doing an experiment on how insanely good avoidance you can get on a paladin tank at lvl 40 with full Defense gear and the new defensive runes. Trying to make a gold farming build where you don't need to look at the screen, just press keybinds 1 and 2 once every 10 seconds.
All of you people whining about pugs and people on general chat asking for bis classes. Just join a guild and play the game as it was intended. I play warrior and i already done gnomer many timea with my guild no problem.
You are acting like all a player has to do is "LF guild for raiding" and suddenly players are in a raiding guild and able to raid. I have things to do during the week and on weekends and if their raid schedule doesn't work with my work and responsibilities I can't raid with them.
@@robertp457 yeah this is what they have to do or to get rejected by pugs. We all have things to do. The raid resets every 3 days and most guilds have like 3-4 raid teams. Literally there is no excuse if you don't have time to raid for like 1.30 hour once a week then do you really have time for WoW at all?

I’m the same and was asking myself the same question, am I burnt out? Did I play phase 1 too much? I think so….. but the problem for me is how unbalanced PVP is, and the fact some classes can’t even get into gnomer groups
I accidentally doubbleclicked the blacksmith blueprints in gnomeregan and wasted 50 gold instead of 25 because there was no popup window that asked me if I am sure to obtain this item... yep. This game NEEDS some QoL
I think that's because this is sort of an awkward "mid-game" phase, it doesn't have as much wonder and mystery that Phase 1 did and also lacks the epic, end game scale that the later two will have. I actually know people who do want to play SoD, but are waiting until Phase 4 comes out so they can play "the full game" in their words.
Having fun playing Warlock in SoD, only thing I really dislike is the gold sinks.. Id normally even be ok with the mount being 100g, but with the new recipes costing as much as they do + mat costs it seems a bit excessive, especially on a seasonal server with no confirmed end plan. Feels a tad bad to have to spend majority of time farming gold instead of having the accessibility to play more classes. In regular wow Im fine with grinding and farming, but I think we should really took a look at adjusting these on a seasonal realm that could be shut down sub 1 year
Without thw gold sinks people would be hoarding massive amounta of gold. A single character who dungeon farmed to 40 have around 500 in raw gold from quest rewards.
Got 160g leveling from 25-40 then another 150+ doing quests at max level. Still 2 months left of this phase and already up 300g just from leveling one character. Seems easy enough?
hit 40, played for a few days and quit. World pvp is broken by 1 shot classes and no point in doing raids when classes in green could kill me without even trying. Going back to Wrath Classic til Cataclysm comes out.
One doesn't quit coop shooters much like one doesnt quit wow. They use different simulations for the same basic loop. The games that try to do both of these usually suck.
Phase 1 was awesome. Idk if I'm burned out or what. But I up and decided to quit SOD cold turkey. I love/hate SOD in a way, like i love the idea of moving in a classic plus direction. But the way they do it is just adding overpowered spells that really make pvp pure cancer. I've played nothing but classic since August of 2019 and lights hope/elysium before that but I'm feeling like trying out retail again, and I had the realization that SOD is basically lukewarm retail. But beyond that I do think Blizzard has been learning from classic, and I believe that retail will be moving more towards classic styled design elements (in certain ways) but keeping the retail gameplay which the bulk of the SOD playerbase clearly loves. I hope they do use SOD as a beta for classic plus. But I hope they realized they need a restructuring too. They should use the TBC pre-patch as the base for a real, permanent, classic+ server. Level 60 cap, TBC talents (maybe tidy up the trees to fit level 60 cap), TBC abilities, spells and class tunings. And yes Blood elves and draenei opening up paladins and shamans to both factions. That is what I desire. Until then I think I will be trying out retail again as I have never stopped following the story (minus the shadowlands bullshit) and am intrigued how the Saga will play out.
I did the same, however personally hoping they don’t bring Draenei and blood elves, if they do bring new races I’d like them to go in a different direction, and I’d greatly prefer if they just gave us dwarf shaman and Tauren (or even undead) paladins for true classic+

I hate Retail gameplay and I love Season of Discovery because it is Retail DESIGN which maintains the Classic gameplay - something the Retail version of the game will never achieve again because it is made to be fast paced with lots of chores to do, to give the younger generations a sense of purpose because they get more easily bored.

Dude right? I don’t wanna respec every 3 days, they need to get gold sinks out of their head because 1000g is likely what they want to charge for it. Even if it was 100g, that’s still outrageous. I would rather this still be casual friendly all the way to 60 and beyond. I can’t even lasher farm yet, and not every class will be able to do that anyway. Blacksmith is normally for warrior/paladin plate armors. Or weapons. Leatherworking makes mail and leather armor for shaman/hunter/druid/rogue classes normally.
@@Tigly031yeah there are a few select items for sure, I just meant after 40 it is meant primarily for plate wearers when it comes to armor. Elemental and tribal leatherworking normally make the shaman/hunter/druid style mail and leather pieces.

Confirmation bias. Psychologically people are nore likely to say nothing when they are content and only speak up if they are dissatisfied. Meaning that most people who are online leaving comments are the ones who aren’t happy. The rest are busy playing still. I have friends who haven’t hit 40 yet. Ofc all the people who make it their entire being for two weeks are done by now. There is no satisting those kind of players anyway.
People have become total slaves to social media and peer pressure. It seems noone can think straight anymore. It's a game FFS and people are treating it like a job. Back then 'gaming' was a free time niche for basement nerds. Now it's a social phenomenon with 'rules' and media coverage. It has become more of a fashion thing than a fun recreational occupation. You know.. 'you're in the football team 'cause all the cool people are playing football' - kind of thing.. 🙄
I would say 6.5/10, it was a good start for something new and experimantal, but i cant really described why P2 looks more fleshed out (better talents, gear opt, raid, PVP event, sleeping bag ect) I think the Dev team is learning really fast and adapting well, looking foward to P3.@@myphan
I know I am late, but it's actually not true, that the Rep farming is more time intensive than Warsong. Absolutly not. Your average Rep was 500, killing 1 Boss and End the event. You get another 200 for a win, sometimes u lose, so 500. You CAN make up to 1000 if u would kill all bosses and win, but it's not the average. However, you only need 300 coins each events to get the same average as before and alot of times you get even more than this. (At least for me and I am just a Meele) and this Rep even works after Reveled, so... No, it was not faster. You just can't AFK it anymore.
Unless you really cannot be bothered to spend any time planning doing quests for gold will be significantly worse than farming it through other means. And this is putting aside their value for leveling which is not important unless you hate dungeon grinding.
From my experience, unfortunately, the STV PVP event is unplayable due to the forced layering on groups. Twice in a row we've formed a group of 5 which is immediately layered once the event starts, and we get farmed by other groups.

@@robertp457I mean my guild used to average 30 min bfd clears with 6 grps a lock out and we currently are running 3 raids per lockout in gnomer with a little over an hour a run good guilds are out there just usually aren't spam recruiting in chat
you hit Lv 40, grab whatever BS runes they farted into the game, and complete Gnomer once then log out until Season of WoWhead Part 3 drops. At that point its just Classic Era all over again.
cant even make it to 40 as ally. Ive been trying to get my tusks for my ww axe and it's just so infuriating it makes me want to quit. The horde have also taken control of all boats on lone wolf. The stv event is complete aids.
Thats why you dont play on a pvp server :p you cant even enjoy a lot of parts of the world because its dominated by the opposite faction. Last time I gave pvp a shot was for Season of Mastery and I quit there after it was impossible to get into badlands to finish my warlock quest as alliance. I only play pvp on private servers, because the population isnt as crazy and you get genuine, tense and fair 1v1 fights just walking through the world
I was palying mage in phase 1 and warlock man , it was amazing beacuse it took little time with mixed lvling as dungeons and little bit of questing . I done around 30 Bfd raids . It was pretty much fun . Then phase 2 come and man mage got nerfed afli warlock still suck big fat D . Everyone were rushing dungeons i couldnt even keep up beacuse i have f job and i couldnt spend all day playing so i just given up on it and even tho i tried to old school aoe with blizz and frost spec the mobs have so much HP the it is doable but in hyperspawn one mob spawn and it f my aoe completly . Not fun . Yes i know aoe face tanking isnt fair ok i get it . But man if my selling point is aoe dont f nerf it to the ground atleast with hp buffs......
According to Reddit the gameplay loop at 40 is 1 Log in 2 buy gold 3 ????? 4 log off because doing any activity promotes gold buying and gold buying ruins everything
For mount I'd say it's best to use the 2 months or so in which we are stuck in phase two to grind the STV mounts. That way you don't run out of content too fast and also safe 90g
Don't play on a PVP server. I left the first server I joined because PVP servers just suck if you aren't that good at PVP or play a class or spec that's for PVE.
I'm not playing SoD for the exact reasons I'm seeing here. Blizzard is actually improving the game, but players manage to make it a stressful 'meta' ridden experience, full of ridiculous gatekeepking and hordes of brainless lemmings, blindly following guides, todo lists and whatever their favorite content creators tell them. I would be out if I wasn't not in in the first place. Solo games or strictly multi with friends it is for the time being. If you're having fun, though, please by all means continue to. You do you!
if they nerf the student fodder blizz will prob c a lot of ppl getting pissed... how many ppl rushed to 40 and didnt know about the bag quest line that will have all 8 of them that will just become useless or near to it

We have been clearing it for 2 resets now with 4-5 melee per group (just how our guild is atm), so it is very much doable atleast! Though I have seen pugs offering to buy their spot as rogue/warrior/ret :(
The more time goes on, the more obvious it becomes that making it so that the content rewards are unobtainable unless you sink time into it without the grind being fun and entertaining and something I would never want to do unless a reward was at the end is a bad game mechanic. We don’t need gameplay that isn’t fun. It’s not fun to grind BGs until exalted. Our BiS bracers shouldn’t be locked behind something we would hate doing. Why are they trying to make the game less fun? This is why new players don’t start playing, and it’s why more casual long term fans quit. The only ones left are the sweaty ones who don’t have any jobs or purpose in life, and when the casuals disappear and they can’t show off their rewards by being afk in a major city, they quit as well. MAKE THE GRIND ACTUALLY FUN. It’s not fun having to figure out how to come up with 175-300g to craft a helmet that we will replace in 10 levels. They say they wanna discourage gold buyers but then hit us with the garbage like that. Dumb af man, let’s also nerf things for no reason like SoM for pally and not buff a damned thing that needs it. I don’t know why blizzard starts with such a strong great idea and then decides to shit all over it but more and more it’s looking like SoD is absolutely finished already

Join a guild and create your own fun and stop pugging just because it’s what’s modt convenient for you. As long as your own personal progression is what is most important to you, you will never be happy. This goes for both ingame and in real life.
