Connel is a village in Argyll and Bute on the West coast of Scotland.
It is situated on the Southern shore of loch Etive and the village gives its name to the spectacular Connel Bridge, a large cantilever bridge originally built for the railway between Oban and Ballachulish. (opened in 1903).
Why not try turning off the sound and play your favourite or most suitable music alongside.

There I’ve gone and spelled it wrong again, should be “repetitious”. Thanks again.

A tranquil scene but best seen on a 'spring' low tide, i.e.at new moon period. The flow down to sea level in the bay is awesome. The high water is less exciting as the loch gets 'topped up' to sea level but there is a slight fall on the under water ridge which crosses the valley. The glacier terminator ridge from the last ice age.

Lived in Connel over 7 years one of the many joys was the view of Lynn of Lorn out to Mull. The splendid Connel Bridge....our first year there in Connel stood on the Bridge to see in the New Year....wonderful. Left the area almost 16 years ago and still think of it with great fondness. Many thanks for the footage. Excellent.

Great shots! I drive over the Connell Bridge from Oban every day on my way to work - the views are stunning, whatever the weather or time of year. I have the best commute in the world!

Lived in North Connel for 2 years then Connel for further 9 years. Crossed the bridge daily for years when it was then a railway bridge with a pedestrian path to go to work in the ship/shore radio station in North Connel. Thanks to Robert Hamilton for his video of this beautiful area of Argyll.

Thanks William, Sorry for the late reply, I have only just found out how to reply. It is stunning scenery, it must have been magnificent to see a steam train cross the bridge. Please check out a few other videos of the area, So You Think That You've Seen Scotland.
