HAPPY NEW YEAR. This loch Etive Epic for the new year .. covers the true tale of a mistake I made and a wee miracle happening. I wont say more as I dont want to give the story away. So watch and enjoy and all will be revieled
Once again, beautiful scenery. I live in Pembrokeshire and it is about a 10 hour journey to the lochs, shich I do every year. Watching your videos make me want to dash to the car and get up to the Highlands. You are soooo lucky.
Easily done. I lost BA Loch Vayaty must have blown away at night while we were camping. Paddled Etive in Kayak last December and camped about 17 of us. I paddled in in February 5 years ago absolutely lovely day . Nice loch. Your video brought that day back same weather blue and snow on hill reflections galore
Great video.Have been coming up to Etive with family & friends for years and cannot beat it for scenery and relaxing fishing. Having always hired slow, self drive boats your set up looks ideal for nipping about the loch..I'm surprised you get around so quickly, as having the biggest coffee flask in the world must slow you down !! :-)
An absolutely fantastic and relaxing video. Professional quality. The scenery is incredible and so is your narration. This makes me really wish to have a boat like yours and explore the neighboring waters.
Donny i felt like i was on the adventure down the lock with ,Well done loved your trip on the lock good vid I only came back from loch etive today 23 jan 2022 What a place you are so lucky to live where you do ,500 hundred mile travel we had to do from liverpool ,and we will be coming back soon
Happy New Year Donny and what a great video for me to start the year off. I watched this one on my big screen and was glad i did, the autumn colours are fantastic, the water looked like glass and i was glad when you found your old buoyancy aid . Thanks gain for a great show.
Another brilliant, brilliant video Don; thanks for sharing! Glad you found the vest. Happy new year and I look forward to loads of videos from you in 2022 please :-)
Im delighted with the new setup Ian..still learning how to get the best from it though ..it all gets a bit complicated at times ..but Im getting there ..Happy New Year
Wonderful video Donny takes me back to my childhood fishing for cuddys under Connel bridge - My father and brother loved trawling around loch up from Taynuilt and especially around Ardmaddy with hope of a Salmon - thanks again for memories -Happy New year Alan
I managed to catch cuddys at the Bridge Alan..if that is what coalies are ..plenty of them but I didnt eat any. Im slowly finding the best way to get the fish I can eat though ..happy new year :-D
As ever Donny Lovely video and very cheering in these dark cold months. I was totally amazed when you found your vest and PLB. If you are anything like me your would have been keeping an eye out for that all the occasions you were on the water..... My wife recons your slurp quite a lot of coffee 😊
I confess..I slurp more coffe than Guinness these days. Come the warmer weather..that will change again..the coffee heats up cold hands. Yeah..I knew it couldnt get out the loch so unless it sank..I knew the PLB weould be somewhere. I susapect it was floating quite a lot as I found it below HW mark. My concern was the storms would throw it above the beach and into bushes sso I couldnt find it. Happy New Year
Takes me back to all my many boat fishing trips to Loch Awe, mostly Pike fishing and some trout as well. Happy new year from the Herefordshire Welsh borders. Plans for a visit to Conon Bridge hopefully next year to visit friends, likely stopover Loch Awe for a few days too. Taynuilt post office was our nearest shop as I recall, good days
The PO ..the Grocery Shop and the Butcher shop are all still here ..sadly the Taynuilt Inn burned down last year..so its carry outs only now ..Happy New Year
Yes I did enjoy the video Donny, Strange I watched about 6 now and it Like feel I am getting to know you, a friend who does not know me, That's a compliment to you and your video's. Ask Gordon for me if you can get those bow covers for any Honwave as I have just bought the t38ie3. It is very narrow towards the bow. Again thanks for sharing Ray K. UK. YNWA.
Simply spectacular footage Donny 👏....I’ve fished and boated Ettive for nearly 40 years . This vid reminds me why I love it so . You now have a new red buoyancy aid and 2 PLB’s so all is well . I can’t thank you enough for these wonderful vids . A quick question, does Ronnie Campbell still skipper the Laura Dawn ? I’ve been out on his boat many a time . Finally may I wish you “awra best fir a gi’d ner’day “🥃 here’s tae us an aw like us and an adventure filled year ahead 🥃
@@LauraDawn11 Hi Tam.. Im glad Oban Fisherman answered the question .. he makes a quick appearance in the next loch Etive video ..and knows all the best fishing spots too..Im slowly picking his brains as I can only find Gurnard Mackerel and spur dugs so far .Happy New Year to you both
Lovely video. The Loch and Hills look beautiful. We're did you get the bow cover for the Honwave inflatable. Really enjoyed watching and subbed you. Atb Steve 👍
Hi TIBON ..yup..its all done on line now ..I also contacted them by phone a couple of times with a quick response and helpful reply..its a great service :-D
Hi John.. there are only private slipways on the loch..but Dunstaffnage marine slipway..which is the nearest slipway the public can use.. is only a few minutes from the mouth of loch etive ..hope that helps some :-D
Thank you Donny Wilcox. Truly delightful in all ways and though the length at first appears "daunting" I heartily encourage others to press play and sit back. I did and enjoyed it immensely. I sometimes use my cruising hovercraft on Loch Etive and create films similar to yours but without your Gimbal (usually forgotten in my camper!) and I dont have your lovely voice over to blend with the stunning photography. On days like you depict, its true, you cant go "far wrong" BUT--- you clearly have a great eye and must spend ages editing and leaving considerable reams of footage upon the editing floor! I also love your music and blending. I use iMovie and music from Various royalty free music areas. Where is your music sourced from please. The fade-in voice overs are also most relaxing. My "videos" are on RU-vid, tend to depict typed descriptions and placed on our hovercraft forum under Nick Flint or on our website----- www.hoverclub.org.uk
Hi Nicholas thanks for commenting and I watched your hovercraft in action..it looks a great way to get around the loch too. I play keyboards so just make my own music now. Im trying to keep it to a minimum ..but my older videos have all sorts of music. Enjoy the latest..its Loch Etive again
