Firstly the qr used in spec vs hate turbos so first step is to pull it and replace it using a qr from a 07 to 12 frontier swapping everything from spec engine to frontier block ....internals are all forged but compression is dropped to 9:6 to 1 and then sorce the trans from the altima 6 speed ....swap limited slip from spec trans now you have longer gears forged internals and an engine that responds well to boost...I've done this entire swap and trust me you will be very happy running this stronger more reliable setup ....if you want to get cute you can also use the spec cams ...also a direct swap
Much Love for this simple to understand well explained rundown on a self built turbo kit for the QR25de. Ive got a 2003 cloud white spec v that needs some love turbo kit wise when my health allows was thinking of going with the 2j racing kit but you've inspired me to DIY all of it besides driving it down to 2j in Georgia for a propper dyno tune or here in RACECOUNTRY USA aka the Charlotte NC metro area weve got shop options and alot of them as well as in hickory NC the used car meka of the area has some good JDM only shops for tuning CHEERS MAN will post some vids once i start the spec v going.
quick question, could you link or provide more detail on the lip you used? it looks so much better than whats normally offered. i know its an STI lip, but do you remember the brand/ year you picked? thanks in advance!

@@red_rabbit_specv thank you and aloha brother, I really appreciate your quick response. if I still lived on Oahu id love to have seen your car in person. clean sentra!
For replacement parts I typically go to www.nissanpartsdeal.com first. If they don’t have the part or too expensive then I typically just copy and paste the part number to eBay and google.
Whats a good intake mani fold because i was gon get the hi power intake mani full kit but 2j stop selling them is there a way to get a good list on making that kit…
@@M5LICE I need to make a video on choosing the right manifold for your build. The oem manifold isn’t that bad for most cases. B16 is good if your doing a high rev build, rogue manifold is good for turbo setups. Having the original dual runner is nice for a daily driven car. It does everything okay where the others are great for a particular purpose. So for example, of B16 manifold as the best power output at 7400 RPMs approximately. If you’re not up to that your car could actually be slower then going with a dual runner that will give you decent low and power and top end instead of giving you one or the other.
Talk to Bobby Haskell (aka Hot sauce tune).. He does all Nissans but is most well known for tuning the qr25. He has tuned 100s of them including mine. his tunes are safe but still aggressive and the attention to detail in the drivability in the tune is something you won't find. He does alot more then just adjust the wrongly defined timing tables in uprev. I do have a couple videos on uprev that might be worth watching if your not familiar with it. facebook.com/bobby.haskell.1
