I was wondering if you could use those grinders that had the consistency of a giant eraser? I think I've seen people use those on cars to remove paint and stuff like that. Was wondering how well those might work on wood. Anyway, great work. I am looking at building a smaller log home in the UP and we will be reaching out to you folks in the near future for some possible cabin solutions!!
Something I have been wondering. Could you sand and stain the logs before setting them? Weather permitting? Seems like you could get to the logs a lot easier that way and be able to stain the entire log. Just wondering for efficiency reasons. Thank you for your videos, I have been watching them a lot lately to learn.
Hey thanks for watching. You could sand them yes but we work outside and the sun and rain will break down the interior finish. Indoor poly needs to be put on in a controlled environment. Hand scribed and cut like we do. This build took my dad and I a good month to finish
