I have the E&L aks74u and its absolutely rock solid. Nothing wobbles or is loose. My g&g rk 103 evo crane on the other hand, has abit of movement in the grip and cover but I suppose to be expected on an older rifle. Even the folding stock doesn't wiggle when its locked in on the aks74u. Ill certainly be getting an akm or something from E&L in the future.
@@2lbsTrigrPull people say the mags suck hand the internals are mid, but my mags all feed properly and it’s pretty accurate. It just feels like the real thing.
@@asovietplaytpus5828 My mags also work but they do not feed the last 5 or 6 BBs which is normal I guess because there is no spring tension left, when the mag is almost empty. Would need a longer follower to fix that. I will try other brand mags like LCT, CYMA or what I can find else. I want to try a plastic bakelite Mac from Ares for my E&L AKM. My internals were all upgraded already by the shop I bought it from. It already came with MOSFET, tuning stainless steel barrel, new hop up unit, piston, piston head, bucking etc. 😉😉🤘🤘
@@BloPsy__ Combat zero on 7,62 guns is 300 and on 5,45 guns it's 400. Ramp on all E&L and LCT guns are foocked and do not work like the real counterparts.
@@2lbsTrigrPull You're right, I have forgot about 5.45 having better ballistics. The explanation is simple I suppose - It's an airsoft replica after all, so the companies use only one type of rear sight block instead of making two types for different calibers. It's way cheaper for them and you won't really notice that in Airsoft.
@@2lbsTrigrPull Wait, now when I think about it, this is an AKMS, so the 300m zero is correct. But what bothers me more than this is that with AK-100 series, they use the same rear sight block, which is completely wrong.
the gun looks good im thinking getting one myself.. sadly in the states you gotta deal with the orange flash hider out of the box. its nice where ever you bought it from put the parts in for you.. i wouldnt know where to begin doing that
@@jackspring7709 Doesn't really matter if Essential or not. I think only a few internals are different to the Premium version but upgraded parts for the gearbox are dirt cheap anyway. 😄
@@2lbsTrigrPull I agree: I was thinking along those lines, too, and was wondering how upgradeable it is. Thanks for confirming. I've just put a deposit down on one and will collect it when I get back to England. The wood grain finish on your particular model looks great, if mine has the same grain and finish I'll be very happy. Have a great weekend.
@@jackspring7709 I swapped out the wood for original Russian handguard set and the buttstock was changed by me too. Some of those E&Ls have kinda weird wood that looks more like MDF (was the case with mine) but the E&L stock I bought extra was nice wood laminate that looked exactly like the real one. I have already made several videos bout upgrading the E&L and how to do the original russian wood shellac finish. This spring/summer I will do another modding video which is something no one did before, at least not to my knowledge. 😁 Nice weekend to you too!
@@flopsker955 Not in this one but in the AK74-MN from E&L. But I got rid of the Variohead because after adjusting the head from full power to a different setting and then to full power again, I lost a bit of the initial power. Looked up the problem and Begadi recommended a heavy duty silicon oil to make the head air tight. That's not a good design so I just installed a normal piston head and power krept up again. I don't recommend the Variohead. What advantage do you have anyway by installing a leaking piston head that you would have to "re-grease" to gain full power again after an adjustment? It's easier to get a weaker spring and change that as all E&L gearboxes have a quick spring change system...
Ironically, you bought the "essential" line (not the platinum line) that suppose is the most cheap and low Q.C. of the brand. Compared with a LCT that has not a cheaper line or a expensive line, all of them are "premium" Q.C.
@2lbsTrigrPull Scemantics. I mean you get a real one by its looks and weight and EandL are a off-shoot of the REAL AKM gun manufacturer. Obviously it will lack any real capabilites of shooting actual bullets.
My Begadi E&L Akm came with an Dustcover i couldnt even get off by hand. And the retainer plate on the front handguard had a big gap. Consider yourself lucky to get such an good product. I couldnt even exchange it because they said its fine. So i just took it back. Well idc bc its going to be my bitch anyways but the qc wasnt too good on mine.
You can fix the gap yourself, you just need a welder and some files. 😁😁🤘🤘 I ordered an original Izmash wooden hand guard and buttstock set for mine and the lower handguard is a bit shorter than E&Ls original. So I have to weld the groove on the barrel shut and make a new groove a bit further down the barrel. Normally you have two weeks to return the product without any reason... Don't know if it also applies to countries outside Germany...
@@2lbsTrigrPull As far as I know, E&L doesn't sell the Kazuki wood version of the stocks. What you bought is most probably the Gen 2 stock that still happens to be in stock in a few places - but the numbers are dwindling.
I have a question for you sir I just got mine today and the charging handle wiggles a lot and the back of the dust cover a little bit was that the same case for you?
Hehehe. Yeah.... I made a few modding vids of my EL AKM. In one you can see I welded a piece of metal to the fake chargin handle to make it less wiggly. Helped a bit. Dust cover has front to back play. Yes. I also welded a bit more material to the receiver at the back and filed it to shape. Now no duct cover play anymore and a little less charging handle wobble. Good day sir!
@@Durrito0 You can see all the mods in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NkWSeNkoe1w.html Well It's just a piece of metal welded to another piece of metal which in this case is the charging handle. You can see in the vid where I welded it. Hope it helps! Have a nice day.
@@2lbsTrigrPull you to sir thank you so much you, you a legend no one on youtube has a clean E&L with the mods you did if I can eventually get my hands on some original ak furniture ill do that after the charging handle
Yes it's the Essential version with upgraded internals from the shop I bought it from but I already replaced all the wood furniture with original Russian AKM wood. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ccfXkM9tKcg.html Slim Torque Motor from LCT with Bakelikte Grip will also be installed.
