That is probably the most emotional (in terms of happiness) I have seen you in Street Fighter in a while. Great to see that you still have fun, even if you grind hard most of the time.
Hey just wanna make a small correction to what you said at around the 1:25 mark; the initial input for the OD fireball, regardless of the speed you want the projectile to be, is QCF+ANY 2 Punch button and only the follow-up F+P input determines the speed, so you don't need to worry about which two punches you input during QCF+PP to affect the speed of the projectile, just the last punch input during the follow-up forward+Punch. So QCF+PP -> F+LP for slow/F+MP for faster/F+HP for fastest.
Finally getting back to SF6, and wanted to learn Ed. Your runthrough of his moveset helped a lot, and it's good to see how top players break down a new character's moveset. Also, well done at Capcom cup!
Any tips for a complete beginner to SF/SF6/Fighting games in general? I've only ever been a FPS shooter player but have stepped away and committed to learning fighting games. Ed is really the only character I like and want to play in SF6, hoping Vega or Sagat are coming to the game. Those two are the only SF characters I've liked and played since SF2 so I'm pretty fked atm other than Ed.
@@Sevatar_VIIIth You already making the first step which is picking the character you like! I knew the first day of the trailer I wanted to use Ed. Your first steps is getting a feel for your character and to learn. Your going to lose a lot, and that's okay! Focus on the process. Once you play a number of matches, learn basic combos (for example I learned basic two hit combos and tried to them consistently in game, then 3, 4...etc). Then gradually build your game from there (learn punishes, anti-airs, whiff punishes, etc.). Hoping more people comment on this thread, it's an amazing journey. Also, definitely go to a local event. A good scene will change your life forever. Been hooked since.
Just wanted to say , on behalf of all of us Juri mains, thank you for repping our character at Capcom cup x. This videos about Ed but you took Juri to the top.
you know to all those who say "aw man I cant leave this rank" or "I don't see progress" I taught my lil brother to play sf6 the other day not only did I surprise myself with the info I retained in my fighting game journey. but my fundamentals are so much better. I saw him flailing in my general direction and I saw me perfect parrying, on reaction dping, and blocking like I'm supposed to. there is a light at the end of the tunnel you always progress even if you don't see it.
The combos you showed off, especially the lvl 2 ones are in his auto combos. His auto combos on modern are insane. I still havent figured out how to cash in meter tho, like dr heavy heav dr heavy heavy... Idk how to do it, but as a punisj it would be nice
Then you get snatched into -4 in eds face. Waking up with something proj immune or armoured will work, and you can jump / guess if they're doing the aa version. Meaty psycho flicker is pretty degenerate tbh
Placement is based on your win rate, opponents, and where your other chars are. Nephew got D5 with 7/10 wins in placement matches, because all his other chars are in Master Rank.
