Lel true it took over two hours to beat a Brit player with a hoard of arrows. Wayyyyy to much distance. Sent rams full of troops constantly that did the trick
Hera, just a suggestion here, I think doing a commentary of a pre recorded game like you have in other videos is better. That way you can be sure it is against a high level opponent and that you are able to show what is truly viable. I get that you didn't have the choice here of who you matched with, but all this did was show the incredible skill gap between a 2500 elo and 1200 elo player LOL. Didn't do much to show how to properly use Huns since he never had a chance.
That's true but he was recording for the subathon so he didn't really have the time to record it again, it was enough work as it is, he was totally drained by the end
@@vtstuff3447 In that case if he didn't have time to get a proper game in, he should have just waited to release the content. Quality over quantity; better to wait and put out high quality than rush it just to have new content. This is again completely my opinion, it is his content and his channel, and he has the right to run things how he sees fit. I will just say I didn't really gain much educational benefit from that game, because the skill gap was too wide. Hera could have literally done just about whatever he wanted here and mopped the floor with this guy. I thought the idea was to showcase the proper way to play a civ, against top competition to prove what is viable.
Nice, the video i was waiting for! Edit: it was really sad and not your fault for that unfortunately matchup, but we need a second part please. I'd like to see some rec from high level game where Huns have been played masterfully. Maybe one of your games or some Daut's game analysis who is one of the best CA players.
Have you ever considered a How to win at Age series where you play your twitch subs in games, while going up the ELO ladder and explaining what they do wrong?
I'd make a proper video on Huns. This wasn't it I feel. Part of the charm of these videos and why they're so good is that high lvl players forces you to find new tactics or play to the fullest potential of each civ. I mean that's at least what I see.
*waiting for the Burgundians one* *Sitting skeleton noises* Unfortunate player match-up, but we did learn from your reasoning and the tech tree explanation.
haha this was hilarious! Dude was so salty as well... like he sent his eagle into your TC, what does he expect will happen? lol. Guess it was an old patch for the matchmaking. I second the idea of commentating on a pre-recorded game to showcase the civ. It'll help with showing what they can do in certain bad matchups (e.g. archers versus goths) or to highlight the situational use of certain tings (elephants?). Either way this was funny :)
lol yeah gotta second everyone we got gipped there. It's like making a video on how to do karate and then beating up a 12 year old. Still thanks for making this vids as always, still learned a lot from the overview.
@@EmilioMartinez270 idk i got 14xx in about one hundred games. But i have a bit of asperger and approach things usually by studying before doing something because it helps me with my anxiety. So i guess in this case it helped me out 11.
How come you faced an opponent who's 12K elo ? I'm jealous, it could have been me, I'm 13K, and I would have been honored to get wrecked the greatest way
@@cybersteel8 Yeah I forgot the dot. Or I may secretly hide the fact that I'm the greatest player in the world by having 13000 elo XD But anways, you got my point
If I remember correctly he was pre-recording a ton of content for the subathon to play while he was sleeping and he said he didn't have time to re-record anything. Which I understand, but also hope he does a remake/follow up video to get a more balanced game for people who want to get the educational commentary part for huns (which is a pretty popular civ for people to want to play I think)
