Ellen, I live down the road a piece..in North Georgia. I was really happy to hear your farm market experiences as I haven't done any yet and hearing you talk about the humidity and heat, etc. has really got me wondering if I even should. Think as I build I'll stay focused online for now!
Very enjoyable Interview, free flowing and authentic. I love Ellen Ruth's RU-vid channel as well. Her warm, genuine and generous personality shines through. As a new soap hobbyist, I learn so much from her.
Loved watching your interview with Ellen - I think I have watched all of her videos and always feel quite inspired by her. It was so comforting to hear that she has made many mistakes along the way - I don't feel quite so bad now. I also resonate with the fact that it is addictive and I'm thinking, "what will I do with all this soap?" Thanks again for sharing George - you ROCK!
I love Ellen Ruth! I was so honored when she agreed to do the interview and a little star struck. We all make mistakes and continue to make them, even the most experienced of soap makers make mistakes so don't ever feel bad. Your doing great and part of the learning experience. Yes soap on the brain as Ellen sais, most accurate soap makers statement 🤣😁😁🙏🙏🙏
Another great interview. I learned a few things. You have to try the tussah silk - every soap I make has it in. You only need a small piece. Definitely only get a small amount. I got a 500g bag 3 years ago and still using it.
Ohh that is interesting. I'll keep an eye out for that and corn silk. I do have a vegetarian range anyway so it's okay. But your right. Would be good to get some!
Love it.. I didn't know what hashtags were doing before I started my Instagram account as well :D Too funny! Thanks for sharing George, always super interesting (as always!)
Thank you Julie 🙏 oh I never heard of that oil before, interesting. I do remain eczema free as long as I use handmade soap. Thanks for the oil recommendation 🙏
Such a beautiful interview George! Thoroughly enjoyed. Ellen you are so much fun and thank you for sharing all your fails, trials and truimphs! It was so inspiring xx
Thank you George for sharing all the amazing interviews with all the Amazing Soappers .❤️🥰 Ellen is another lady « LADY » that inspired me too in my journey . A bless and beautiful person. Thank you🥰🥰🥰
Awesome Interview!!:) Thankyou. So true...once you start soaping it's hard to stop!:) It's so so much fun. I'm running out of space to store it all hehe.
Super excited I just love Ellen and have followed her since I found Elly this year. Content and video approach excellent so I feel she’s here with me talking. Colloidal oats and Tussah Silk fibres I’m now trying, thanks Ellen can’t wait for the first two to cure. Yes I am at that stage of being addicted, hubby says what more soap when are we going to use it , oh dear I just hope friends and family keep wanting some.....international shipping yes wow I have some packed for my UK & US family, haven’t posted yet due to cost. Anyone in Europe goes through high hoops and costs, for some it becomes unviable, so I think the UK probably came under the European restrictions when part of Europe. Just like electricians and household wiring ....no light switch in bathrooms!!! Thank you George for inviting Ellen on to chat, such a bubbly positive lady who shares so much with us newbies.
Oh how wonderful do let me know how they turn out. I'm super keen to try them out myself. You can always sell at markets casually or give excess away to great causes if space is becoming an issue hehe. Yes international shipping is crazy expensive since they introduced the tariffs after the GFC. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️🙏
Thanks, George, again for your interviews. I love Ellen Ruth Soaps and Ellen. It's all so very helpful for a new soaper to gain insight into the process and community. I'm wishing you all well and looking forward to getting my business up and running. Many thanks!
I forgot to mention one important fact, do not sweat any negative feedback that you receive. Personally, I find your manner calm and soothing. It’s easy to criticize from the shadows of the internet. My mother always said if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!
Thank you Judith. Very sweet of you. I am okay with it now, just initially it was a shock! I know it's the same for Ellen too! However all is well. I love that saying also. ☺️🙏
Thank you Liana, appreciate it. It's funny because I'm often described as having a big & infectious personality. When sharing knowledge & experiences I am passionate about what I talk about, especially in regards to Aromatherapy & soap making 🙏🙏🙏
Hello George, I'm loving your Soap Maker's Lounge Interview's! Great job. You came up with a fantastic concept that is showcasing the soapmaker. Love Ellen's soap video's also, I laughed in the the part about international shipping I commented on one of Ellen's video's about trying one of her soaps if I could. I wonder who will be in your lounge next!😉
I have become addicted to your Soap Lounge interviews George. You always choose such wonderful soap makers and Ellen had so much knowledge to add to your chat with her warm personality. Re Aloe Vera soap. I made Elly's recipe a few weeks ago and it already feels great even though it needs another few weeks or more to cure before I can use it. I just used the Aloe I have growing by my back door after Elly showed how easy it is to extract the gel from the leaves. I am now going to check out Ellen's RU-vid channel. Thank you for another entertaining hour! 🐾
Thanks so much Marion 🙏 she is rea cool to chat with. Oh that's great regarding the aloe vera / Elly recipe I really got to try aloe vera 😁. Enjoy Ellen's channel it's got a lot of great videos there 😊🙏
I loved this interview. What a great idea to do. Such a great opportunity for us lovers of RU-vid and other soapers to get to ‘virtually’ meet some of our greatest inspirations. I adore Ellen’s videos, she is one of my favorite people to watch as she is so helpful, and so positive. Her videos always make me happy. This was a great interview. Thank you so much for doing these George!! Loved it!
Thanks for watching, Ellen is definitely a favorite of mine and really enjoyed this chat. I was a little in awe at first thinking wow I'm chatting with Ellen Ruth, she's amazing, love her bubbly personality, she has a great sense of humor, she makes me laugh! Her videos sure do uplift the mood, I enjoy watching her content. 🙏🙏🙏
Another great interview, when I 1st started soaping I watched Ellen ruth so religiously, love her! You also mentioned a natural fragrance company, can you forward the name to me. Thanks again, and keep the great interviews coming!
Thank you 🙏 I love watching her content. Sure their name is nature's flavours. They are located in California I believe. They are beautiful scents. Usage rate between 4-5% of oil weight is needed though 🙏
Thank you George for having Ellen on your Soap Maker's Lounge. I really enjoy watching her and learning from her. I just recently discovered your channel. I do not use mica, oxides, ultramarine and fragrances in my soaps. I love your approach to essential oils. I do not scent most of my soaps but I do have some that I do and when I do, I only use essential oils. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Cheers from Quebec, Canada!
Thanks for watching and commenting Raph. She is a fan favourite I think. I also love watching Ellen Ruth, I was so excited when she agreed to be on the lounge. Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Two wonderful soapers and people 🤩😍 yes soap making is very addictive!!! Just quite expensive 🤔 but i love it! What i want to know is, do the two of you work alone? Is this your only income?
Thanks Susan, I really love and admire Ellen, was an awesome chat. Hehe yes it can be pricey can't it. so rewarding though. Yes and yes, we work alone, one man and one woman show 🙏
Another brilliant i interview George! If people dont like you, your videos, soap or what ever, then they simply dont watch or use it. When people make comments like that, it is a reflection on them and not you. ☺️
Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏 just do a google search for business insurance and find the best one that works for you. Depends where you are located also 🙏
What a fun chat to listen to! This hit on so many things that I'm working on as a new soaper trying to begin a soapy biz! From the start I decide I would not copy soap recipes, but I have copied techniques, additives, etc into my recipes. This is helping me discover what I really like and what I'm willing to use. So thankful for all the great soap tubers that share their experience and expertise and so freely! Goerge...have you considered putting Soap and Clay on this lounge list?
Hi Trisha. Wow yes I know, I only recently discovered. I'll be interviewing a soap maker from Workingham so will be interesting to discuss these in more detail 🙏
@@DawnOrganics I think it's across the EU as well? But a great idea if you want some kind of assurance? The initial outlay is a bit daunting but worth it in the end I think?
