It's beautiful! Had you not said anything about the TD, I'd have thought it was a hat tip to the Webb telescope that we saw pictures from today!

I love it!!! With an open mind and an active imagination, we can find beauty even in “mistakes” - I think that’s why cutting the soap is my favourite part! I’m always amazed by what’s inside the bars (especially when it’s not what I intended). And the Webb pictures are truly incredible!!! 🤩

Thank you for sharing.... very interesting explanation.. I do mixed TD in olive oil too. And I blend blend blend... it really well till TD really smooth in big container for my easy use. Looking forward for your next video.. :)

Thanks, that’s great advice! I’ve been considering switching to water soluble TD, since it looks easier to mix, but am not sure I want to risk possible glycerine rivers with the extra water. Maybe a bit of side-by-side experimentation is in order… 🤔

@@findlaycreeksoapcompany you can try first and see how it goes. 😉 Using OO in TD no glycerin river for me. 😊

I recently discovered your videos and am enjoying them immensely. Excellent first attempt! It's still too challenging for me right now, so thanks for including your tips. What water:lye ratio do you use? Also, maybe link Lisa's video for easy access.

Sorry, I just saw that you linked the video already.

Thanks! I hope you do give it a try sometime - even if the design doesn’t turn out like you imagined, it will always be amazing and beautiful soap 😊 The water:lye ratio I use is 2.1756:1 (or 28% the weight of the oils). I use soapcalc to get the exact weight of water/lye/oils for each batch Happy soaping!

I do an ombré when dying fabric, and I use weight as my measure. Figuring out how many sections I want. And about halfway thru I lower my angle. And about 3/4 way thru, lowered it again. Then went flat. And the white specks look planned, so just say”I meant it that way!”
