Am I the only one who wanted Soaring in Sun and Moon? It was the best feature in ORAS. Imagine it. Flying around Alola on Charizard or even something else. It would've been beautiful
I still mostly play Alpha Sapphire. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were most of my childhood, and having mechanics like soaring made the game feel a lot more alive. I wish there was an Emerald remake though. I mean I liked the Delta Episode, but a full on Emerald remake like ORAS would have been great

I want to cry listening to this. I remember the days when this was the best, modern Pokémon games with the best technology. I always overlooked it because of that. I remember I was going through a state of severe depression back when I was younger. The worst part is, is that nobody really knew it was depression, not even myself. Me and my Dad had gone to gamestop one day, and I managed to find a Pre-Owned copy of Omega Ruby. My Dad bought it for me in hopes to cheer me up. It worked for a while, but eventually my depression just still overtook me. I remember I initially was going to trade it in for a different game at one point a few years later, because it still held these memories and feelings whenever I played it. But.. I never did, and I held onto it. Time later when I figured out I had depression and I was doing significantly better, I decided to pick it back up, and start a fresh new save, for a fresh new start with the game. And I loved every moment of my first playthrough. I always wondered, and still wonder to this day, how I would have reacted to such positive, emotional gameplay when I was down. Needless to say, my Dad did achieve his goal in the long-run, and this game hits me in a special kind of way, even though it wasn't my first game. I love ya, Dad.

Actually me too. I started with Alpha Sapphire, and you don’t even realize how much was put into those games until you don’t have the experience anymore. ORAS may not have been the best pokèmon games, but they were ones to remember
I remember one night, I was playing Alpha Sapphire and a tornado warning came in. Mom and Dad told me and my brother to get to the basement. I brought my 3DS down with me. I was really scared, but soaring on Latias always made me feel a little better, and that time was no exception. Hearing this theme always calms me down at least a little bit.
Sometimes I'd just lie awake in my bed, earbuds plugged into my old 3DS and have the Omega Ruby game open so I could listen to this...and just look out my window too see white speckles floating in the black midnight sky. Once my eyes were closed, I'd see an illusion...dream. Goodnight.
Yoshidex WGY Dialga’s time distortion interrupted the battle theme for Palkia/Dialga so you could enjoy this chill music while duking out the time god Pokémon and catching it.
I’m in awe that this game is about to be 8 years old, and it still remains my favorite game in the franchise. This game has done something’s for me that have changed me.
Hearing this not only lets me know my journey is just beginning I’m game but in real life. I reflect on past choices both good and bad when I hear this. Brings a tear to my eye.

Reminds me of grade 8 where i was going through tough times because of bullies, lots of stress and I lost my cat who felt like the only “person” who was there for me at time so I just wanted to kill myself. Playing Omega Ruby was one of my ways to cope after school and when I first took to the sky at nightfall on my Latios, I’ve instantly fell in love with this song. It’s so relaxing and calm, it just told me that everything’s gonna be okay and it’s gonna get better which it did after awhile. Now I’m here listening to this, while it does bring back awful memories of middle school, it also reminds me of my best friend who I didn’t expect to meet, love and support so much who unfortunately passed away from a rare blood clot. But it’s amazing how songs, even from games targeted to children mainly can have such a deep and unrelated connection to you. I’ll forever love Pokémon for that!

when I listen to this, I feel like I need to cope more. I loved the game so much and still do, but a long time ago, I had some issues with a friend and my latias... I'm still looking for her to this day. I'm never gonna find her, but I won't let the memories of her down. I miss the days when it was simple
Me too... When i first played this is when I also came out as trans to my parents. It went horribly and my parents tore me and my best friend (who i came out to first) apart. We were very close, we used to play this game together, pet our Minun and Plusle (named Shizuha and Minoriko) and other pokemon together, going to contests... Even nowadays i miss her greatly. I clearly remember the point where that happened is when I reached the Sealed Chambers. I was in hell literally, and playing this game, seeing my pokemon's smiling face in pokemon amie gave me some solace and sense of belonging. After I got soaring, like you, I immediately fell in love with the night theme. I always fly around Hoenn in the night sky, looking at the star. For some reason, it always calms me down... Things are much better now. I am living as myself and my parents finally accepted me. Looking back, it indeed has been such a long journey...
To this day i remember my 'first' soar on my latias and the path we took It was just after battling Primal Kyogre, it was night... it had been a massive struggle, most of my team was badly injurred and only after my latias went mega did i defeat it, i wasn't able to capture Kyogre... but i saved the region, and then Steven handed me the flute, and he told me that Latias will always come to me no matter how far apart we were. After that, we said our goodbyes and i played the flute.... and went soaring for the first time... It was a BEAUTIFUL night, the stars were shining and since it was the first soar, it played the daylight music, and i just 'smiled' at how small the world looked, i was slow in my journey but that one moment made me feel like everthing just got a whole lot better, worth it, as i soared over the mountain, around it, over the ocean and saw the boat that took me to my electric gym badge, soared over the islands where somewhere, Southern Island sat, hidden, waiting for me again i soared over the elite four, victory road, i soared over home... it didn't matter my destination, only the journey... and the journey though over, and though Latias is no longer in my alpha sapphire save, i know that she will always hear my flute, and no matter the distance, time or space, she will soar over the sun and moon itself, to take me into the night to soar one more time... if for no other reason, then just to see how small the world really looks
I was in turkey and i was going back to UK i got out my 3DS and used eion flute while in a plane flying at night i felt like i was flying on a latias/latios.

growing up as a little kid playing pokemon, I WAS 12 AT THE TIME!!! :O it was my life, riding on latias was my favorite part and the night was always the best time because the cities were lit up and this song was great! now im 17 bout to commit my life to aviation, playing this in my flight simulator right now
One night I took my telescope to a secluded park. Then I played this music quietly and observed the stars. The moon, Jupiter, some stars and galaxies were visible exceptionally well that day. It was truly the best experience.

Though it was old, it meant the world to me. I played this game for days and nights, trading with my best friends, battling for glory with my Swampert. The earliest memory I have of this music was listening to it in the car while watching fireworks and the night sky over Hoenn is something else. The music really does the scenery justice being nice and somber while also enhancing the flight and making it worth taking your time to explore. This will forever be one of my favorite Pokémon tracks.
Maybe I could dream... Dream of another day, to dive another day, and to hope of a different reality. Maybe, when I tried to soar away from Hoenn, it flew back, because... It's almost my home. But as much as I love this region, Kalos too, my place will always reside in... Unova.

Also Leafeon has access to moves which have a type advantage against all eeveelutions. X- Scissor- Leafeon, Umbreon, Espeon Dig- Flareon, Jolteon Iron Tail- Sylveon,Glaceon Leaf Blade- Vaporeon Awesome isn't it.
I was surprised Game Freak still had the skills at that time to make such a track. They lost some of the touch nowadays but I believe they're still capable of pulling something like this off again.
Remember, Game Freak are the developers, not the composers. The composers differ from game to game apart from Go Ichinose being a usual staple. So I think it's just a matter of which composers they get each time that determines the overall ost quality. Interestingly enough Go didn't compose for the Gen 6 games but did come back for Gen 7 onwards. Weakest track for me out of the last decade has to be Diantha's from X and Y. X and Y in general had weak battle tracks but great town/route themes. Sun and moon improved a bit overall and sword and shield had great rival themes. I hope the open world nature of scarlet and violet doesn't mean less of a soundtrack, there's a lot of potential now
@@darkpyro786 The fact you consider Diantha's theme the weakest track just shows that even their weakest still stands strong. Diantha's theme is *REALLY* good.
@@General_C I hear that a lot, and I can't really grasp that same feeling or understand why it's so liked. It doesn't have that hard-hitting impact that a champion's theme should have, like Cynthia's. I think thematically for the dreamlike, crystally vibe she has the track definitely fits Diantha, but not as a champion, only a trainer. Only other video game song that I question is Rivers in the Desert from Persona 5. I think it's overrated and I don't hear what everyone else hears when they call it a banger in a game full of so many better tracks
I can picture this playing as Brendan takes a ride through the night sky on Latios, with one of his girls. May: beneath a gorgeous sky is a gorgeous girl. Brendan watches the stars shine in her eyes, and wonders if she's feeling the same way he is. Should he finally tell her how he feels? As she brushes billowing hair out of her eyes, she sees Brendan staring and tells herself to do what she should have done at the pond. She leans in and gives him a smooch. Lisia: on a day off from the flashing lights and screaming crowds of Contests, enjoying the change of pace with the man she scouted and then shirked the coordinator life to save the world. She leans back against him and admires the shining quartz of Sootopolis in the distance. Courtney: the yandere's chaotic mind has been put at ease for a precious night as the split between her strange love for either man seems so distant. Since the incident with the meteor, she has been healing and brushing up on her social skills, to her mind, this "date" means good progress. To her heart, it means much more. Zinnia: The trauma of losing Aster and the seeming near utter failure of her plans had made simply getting up in the morning difficult for the Draconoid girl. Zinnia watched the sea and stars, amazed by how beautiful the world could be in these brief moments of happiness. She smiled and hid a blush when she looked at Brendan. His strong but utterly wholesome character was infectious, and she felt that perhaps Aster would want her to enjoy her time on earth before they reunite. Just my 2 cents lol

Soaring during night, looking at the city lights from above , thinking about what other people doing at the time , checking for mirage islands , visiting other peoples bases. It gave me emotions ive never had from other games.
I lost my cat a couple of weeks ago very suddenly from unknown heart failure. Listening to this, I hope he’s somewhere among the stars in the sky, and as relaxed as this music 💫
whenever i hear this, i’m instantly transported to the days in year 4 where i’d be at home, or in the car, or at a holiday house - no matter where i was, i’d take my 3ds and play this, sometimes just for this music man, music is powerful

I remember my parents got me this back in 2015, it was snowy and Christmas just passed. I was 9 and my older brother said he’d tell on me and I was crying from my sleep. Then I saw the game brand new... I played through the first 2 towns that night. Not much money but my parents did what they could with the money they had back in Aurora Illinois. Been over 5 years and it’s already so nostalgic along with Ocarina of Time and Pokémon Red...

Ah, the last main series Pokemon game that I truly enjoyed. While it having no Battle Frontier left a really bad taste in my mouth when the game came out, at least the game was still enjoyable and it had a ton of post game stuff, plus there was no dex cut or forced EXP Share or any of that. And one of the things they added that I really liked was the Soaring feature. This theme being the one I prefer over the daytime version. Feels weird to be nostalgic over a 3DS game.
All started with the original Ruby… 2010, I was only 4. Started Omega Ruby in 2014, I was 8. Time flies by so fast. Just like Guns N Roses said, “Now that I’m starting to learn, I feel I’m growing old. Yesterday has got nothing for me, old pictures that I’ll always see, time just fades the pages in my book of memories.”
I always imagine looking up into the night sky and seeing a shooting star zoom across while hearing a gentle breeze blow as this theme plays, lying down in a sleeping bag next to a nice warm pit fire.
I picked up my copy of OR recently for what may be the last time in order to transfer the last of my Pokémon to the newer games. I went soaring for a final time as this track played. I saw Winona wistfully standing atop the Mauville tower. And then it was over... This track is beautiful and emotional and it’s fitting that it’ll be my last memory of such a great game.
Man ORAS had Some Badass And Emotional and Sweet Songs bruh...Best Region...✌️ But now when I played Unova it's become my first fav...second Comes Hoenn 🔥 never Gonna Change Let it be any new Region...🙂😂

I literally got scared when Giratina's theme started playing after this. I didn't know it was in the game and i thought i would fight Palkia, because i had Dialga in my team and my friend's Palkia. Good ol' times when i was a kid.
I remember specifically booting up Alpha Saphire at night while on a plane just so I could listen to this theme while I looked out the window. It was such a cool feeling.
I forgot this song, but now that I listen to it, a memory of a younger version of me came to my mind. I was just floating there just enjoying what this song made me feel. Nothing else was really more important to distract me from that. I'm thankful that memory was resting in some place of my mind and didn't completely disappear. It has been some time since I just live the present and enjoy. I miss those times. Just enjoying...
