I know you already tried to talk about it. I know he's pushing you away, but my god!! keep trying. He needs you all so much right now... But no, now he thinks apologizing is useless bc Richie didn't accept it, so neither will claire. He's done ZERO ASL "I'm sorrys". He's done apologizing. He quit smoking- HE SAYS to be efficient with time- because it reminds him of claire. Claire = distraction. He doesn't wanna be the guy in love with claire. He wants to destroy that person. He's becoming his worst nightmare to have his WORK be loved and accepted by THE PEOPLE, because he doesn't think he's worthy of love anymore. With claire, he was distracted, yes, but he was kinder. He hasn't been in Al-anon because old carmy went to al-anon. He hates himself so much and he's hurting the people he needs most. 😭
