SOBERING Up! One Piece Episode 1064 BREAKDOWN 

Great analysis as always I'm glad this episode ended up being a bit of a turn-around for Tokoro. The action had its misses, but I enjoyed it for the most part. The dialogue-centeric moments from the beginning and end of the episode highlight Tokoro's great ability at handling such scenes, they were emotional and atmospheric. Shida's scenes were absolutely amazing. It's insane how he comes back from just giving us a +2 minutes scene in Sanji vs Queen!!

The fact that we got more Shida cuts in this episode after his near 2 mins cuts only few episodes ago is just amazing. I also thought we would get the cursed Kaido scene in this but I guess not. This episode was chapter 1037. So, only 7 episodes left until what is likely the next Ishitani episode.

Honestly, I enjoy the episode a lot more than I expected (my rating 7,5/10)... The scene with Toko hit way more than it should, Drunken Kaido was hilarious through out the entire episode, and the action scenes were fairly well animated. Of all the remaining chapters where the main focus is Luffy vs Kaido this was the one that I was worried the most in it's quality, for the simple fact that it stands in the middle of the climax of Sanji, Zoro, and Law/Kid fights... Turns out to be a way better episode than I predicted.

I think Tokoro fits more in dialogue centered episodes. I dont like him on action heavy episodes. For example the world government part was really well done. Nevertheless the transition from the fight to the world government scene was not well executed.

Anyone have any idea when we'll get the staff listing for the next batch of episodes? All I've been able to find is Henry Thurlow is going to be that guy on 1066, but thats about it.

The pacing was fairly alright, but the execution and the animation felt bit dull. It was missing smooth animation on some parts, some part was stiff, some part had a not so good camera angles to capture the intended action/moment, it wasn’t terrible but it did make me zone out of the experience mid episode, which happens when I notice flaws

Really bad decision to show luffy's fruit at the end........

Actually liked the episode i thought it wil be a CGI nightmare with kaido(which could stil happen with bigmom fight) that aside i didn't lik the subtitle translation choice either otherwise great epis
