Tokido really had this match but made a fatal mistake that cost him and never really recovered. I think if he had beat Daigo he would have beat Filipino Champ in the Grand Finals as Tokido's Akuma has much less trouble with Dhalsim compared to Daigo's Ryu, which seems to be a kryptonite for him. The turtle style has always been the only thing that can really throw Daigo off his game.
Lets say daigo here and Tokido walks a lott left right, launcing SRK = >V>, punch right...but since they keep moving, the first > falls off, so they need only to do V> , punch.. and since they use jabs and other randoms, it makes it more comfortable to activate there specials. If you watch good grab players using zangief, hakan, Thawk..etc etc. you can see, they use normals like CRAZYYY !!! jab jab, waking >> left, right
But using normals like walking left, right, wich you can see a lotttt by pro players, also good players online, > jab, L.K, H,P etc etc...is also a way to use your anti air much easier. Cuz lets say you stand still and do nothing, you need to press all buttons over and you need to get, lets say ''used'' to the move, but when you keep moving and press normals, you are like lets say ''half of your way'' to launch that move = you can use your specials faster !
There can be different reason. Well in Ryu's case or better said, shoto characters. They use a fireball, and at the moment that the fireball will hit the oppenent, the shoto player thinks, it will hit and fire another one. But since it will give chip damage to your opponent, the opponent decides to jump and the fireball does not hit, so what happens, a normal move come out, cuz there can be only 1 fireball of yourself in the match. It's also a techniqeu to kinda irritate your opponents.
@AgrivatedKillah It's a scrub tactic mostly used by online players when they are losing. 99% of the time, they're just blocked and punished heavily. Tokido's wake up ultra was a guess, in the sense that with Akuma if they stick out a limb on your wake up, Demon catches them for free. He did just do wake up ultra because he was losing. Aka they don't work and are very desperate.
@SeventhSun Well, Akuma has more of a reason to wake up Ultra because of the invincablity he gets on the start up of WotRD. Most of the time if a character without a Ultra like that shouldn't wake up and Ultra, it's just too random.
stop complaining about the commentators. Its really hard to commentate a match while maintaining the hype of the match. I guess those who are complaining didnt have the chance to get to EVO. Because if they are, they would probably understand why is their reaction like that. :)

omg the commentators are just terrible...yelling for nothin. look at 7:28 daigo just does a crouch Medium kick and the guy is like " OOOOH SHIT OMG" -_____-'
@CouchPotatato I'm sorry in GF Daigo Vs. Filipino champ he says Daigo does aerial heavy into uppercut... even though it was aerial medium -.-.. sorry he doesn't say anything good.
To be honest Daigo should have lost this match. Tokido made a rather stupid mistake that cost him the match point and allowed Daigo to get back in to the game.

Grab players dont press left, right , down when they walk left right or duck. There technique when they walk left duck is to make a half circle everytime they do it, they do it like crazy fasttt, so when they close to you, they can perfrom a grab really easily, cuz if they just stand still, they need to make the whole circle, wich cost more time and the risk is, they will jump. if they keep moving, they can perform it more easily and faster cuz they allready ''using'' there specials for like 50%
But why daigo use the SPS a lot is, one of the reasons also can be is, it breaks the focus, cuz its a 2 hit move, plus its a HARD move, MORE DAMAGE, PLUS its SAFE !! wich makes it more attractive to use !!! But the main reason why good players use all kinds of buttons is, is they can use there specials more easily and when you keep moving, you get more ''warm'' in the game. its a good technique
@Catalinutz212 Your saying that when you input an ex shoryuken it does the teleport instead? 3x punch? Type A & Type B cannot perfom Ex Shoryuken with Akuma via back buttons on a control pad because it's Light & Medium punch together.
