love this drill, I teach U9 now U10s and its a really good drill. started off just working on the diagonals, as in the vid and made them look and think about how their body positions are.. really good stuff.

Could we get cheeky pitch sizes? That's what I struggle with the most.

Too much structure... spend more time to organize and explain the kids....soccer is simple...

+Marcos Matos I liked the the idea of the drill. I also have to agree with Marcos Matos, although It is also worth considering that the time spent in organizing will be reduced through repetition, but the time that the kids waste waiting in line could be much better invested. Taking all of it into account, I loved the drill.

I agree about the wasted time... you could use a slightly smaller practice area and split it into two grids to minimize the wait time.

The time wasiting is not wasted, it is for recovery. They peform an intense attacking movement followed by an intense recovery. If you do not allow for recovery time the quality will decrease.

I Disagree...if an exercise has high intensity the kids need time to recover. I think kids need to learn to listen to their coach without bouncing around like they have ADHD. I know the current trend is let the kids play and learn more through discovery, but a coach needs time to freeze the session and interject coaching moments. What good is letting kids just play the game and keep making mistakes and then develop bad habits. I think these coaches are top class.
