Really comes alive in the 16-bit era. My favourite is Winning Eleven 7 International on PS2. Winning Eleven/PES on the PS1 and PS2 is still untouchable. Side note: this video sends a good bit of traffic my way so thanks!

PES 2018 is my favorite soccer game. The gameplay just feels buttery smooth and completely enjoyable for a sim/arcade experience.

Pro soccer 1983 was way beyond its time, was a very popular game back then.

This is the one that I had 19:18 Fifa Soccer 95 used to play hours and hours in Sega Genesis it was pretty good for its time, you can change lineups, strategies, even field conditions, damp, sunny, etc., the images were also pretty cool!!! awesome times!!!

ISS 97 was the first modern football game worth playing. You could play it even today. It was a revolution.

I can't even begin to imagine the time and effort it took you to compile this video. Great job. One note, I would have imagined that Amiga would be the best, but Atari was better at 6:48 the year 1990. At 10:41, SNES at 1992 was the best. At 12:13, 1992, Genesis has crazy scrolling, woow.@13:41, on 1993, SNES, nice 3D. @15:18, in 1993, the most realistic game, SNES woow. Cutest game @17:35, SNES 1994, and Bears vs Mice lol.

At 80's , Tehkan World Cup (1985). The best project. Only one button needed to cross/shooting the ball.

And there are still two kings which will never abdicate: "Sensible Soccer" and "Kick Off 2" on the Amiga. FIFA will never put so much fun in a football-game, period!

Aí o pessoal fala hoje em dia..... "Cadê a nova tatuagem do Messi?" "Cadê o novo penteado do Neymar?" Ficam reparando detalhes bobos olha a evolução desde os anos 80 para hoje... Eu peguei a geração de 2002 pra cá, joguei PS1 com jogadores que era um borrão na tela o Ronaldo e Roberto Carlos eram o mesmo boneco só mudava a cor da chuteira, hoje até escaneamento a Konami faz nos atletas para parecerem ultra realistas tentam a cada 2 meses corrigir bugs para melhorar a jogabilidade e o povo ainda reclama! Não estou defendendo as empresas Konami e EA Sports, só estou lembrando as pessoas de que isso são apenas jogos de entretenimento ou seja, apenas curtam e apreciem o jogo! Eu jamais imaginei em jogar com o Messi, um Cristiano Ronaldo, ou um Neymar ultra realista um dia e olha aí eu estou jogando! Parabéns ao canal por compartilhar esse belo vídeo!

One more interesting thing that I noticed about this video: the last football game released as an arcade machine seems to be Virtua Striker 4 from 2004, and when it comes to depicting real world association football played with its international rules, after 2007, all the home console games doing so are either FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer games. The competition has certainly dried up from 2008 onward.

wow beautiful video...soccer of Secondlife should also be remembered: 9vs9 real players, in first and third person, the keyboard and mouse commands made the players very different from each other about capacity. 2008-2012 we had championships, sponsors and salaries: -)...I have now discovered that there is a new soccer system inside secondlife, the FLV system..incredible...LOL

En ps1 me atrapó la saga residente evil luego en la ps2 a más de uno nos atrapó cualquier PES de play2..... que hasta el día de hoy la sigo conservando , ahora con mi ps4 sigo teniendo PES pero hay juegos ma emocionantes..... sin duda disfrute con la súper snes y la ps2

For me, i cant really know the why and how BUT ISS Pro 98 hs the smoothest, coolest flow, movement I have ever witnessed ..I had stop at PS3 and watching your video till the end even the nowadays machines PRO soccer & Fifa heavily miss to achieve that natural flow & players movements...For me it ridiculous to pay so heavy to own a PS5 console and still not be able to enjoy and good soccer title

One of my faves was Emlyn Hughes' football on the Amstrad CPC-464 because I could name the teams. One team was all of my friends, another was all the crew from the Aliens movie. I played the heck out of that. But Kick Off 2 on the Amiga had thousands of games played between mates. It was just so darned fast and you could change pitch surface and wind power to make it truly chaotic. I love how in old games the ball lands in the box, but 2 pixels outside where the keeper would IRL just come claim it and he just stands there like a lemon.

It’s more of a devolution than evolution. In the 90s you had loads of companies doing different games and weren’t afraid of experimenting (Super Side Kicks, Adidas Power Soccer etc) and now you have like two companies doing it. They are rehashing the same game each year and just updating minor things. Football games are in a sad state today.

For me actua soccer and fifa 97 with the indoor mode were the best...i was 15 and probably spent thousands of hours playing along with my younger brother...and to think that more than 20 years have gone by.
