A lot are fouls. 'He got all ball!'...and he got the opponent, too. Whether a foul is trivial depends on the level of play, age of players, skill, and referees control of the game.
2:17 Not sure why the ref thought this was worthy of a YC. It is a 50/50 Ball and the keeper does not have possession of the ball when the player jumps for the header. The Defender is the one that should have received the YC.
Offensive foul, law 12, jump at an opponent. Made contact with keeper who had position. With arms raised, the offensive player may have been considered using arms as weapon. YC possible, but that is ref discretion.
A lot of these aren’t fouls, a lot of them are legal tackles and aggressive play, which is legal. Where I live in California everyone plays aggressive. My soccer team competed against multiple premier u15 soccer teams from the UK, and we won all games because we were aggressive.
sorry but these are simply strong challenges and most are not fouls. Having played pro football in england and been involved in the game for 30 years you guys wouldn't last 5 minutes in some of the county leagues. let alone the professional ones. Nice try but definitely not fouls.
I blame parents for expecting their child to play a contact sport without being contacted.... It would be like watching American Football and having parents bitch that their child got hit.
